A chance to learn how to fight like a pirate from Tony Angelotti, Johnny Depp’s stunt double, and Lisa Hoyle, Keira Knightly’s stunt double from some of the Pirates films.
It’s a miracle! Someone actually teaching real theatrical sword correctly. I can tell by the drop and roll on parry 1 and 5. Academy of theatrical combat? Dan Speaker? Good for you! So far the only sword stuff I’ve seen on RU-vid that is not stupid and made up. RECOMMEND
Real theatrical sword fighting? So, real fake sword fighting? If it looks good how could it be real or not real? By what standard can you gauge authenticity there?
Movie sword fighting and real sword fighting are two very different things. Not that I have a problem with it. It looks great and that's all that matters in the movies. But in a real sword fight you're not going to clang your swords together over and over before someone finally gets a hit. It's all very quick and nasty and it's usually over before you realize what's happened.
I bet you do not know the meaning of fencing in Latin or understand that most sword combat is fencing. the term fencing in Latin and in French means defense. this why sword fighting got its name fencing. when you sword fight with someone you are fencing.
