This is spot on. Another thing that worked for me is to always be the first guy on the grid for every session. This not only shows that you are eager, hungry and prepared, but it also helps to get your competitors used to being behind you.
I just found the channel and THANK YOU! Showing this video to my seven year old son who thinks he's already arrived after winning in his third start. What a great message! And lots of great stuff to help us as we get started. Subscribed and cannot wait to learn more.
I must say Ryan all in all you explain things so well. as well as the bigger picture and I have a lot of respect for that. I love racing and I love 125 racing but it takes the overall mentality and ambition to be a champion. Some of which even the best of the best can’t explain, sometimes you have to do it for yourself 💁
Visualization is so powerful, it can motivate you to train even harder. Visualize how you cross that line first is a big motivator, at least for me :) Believing you can win is key, I think all the winners believe in their skill.
Good points there Mate, Got those ones down pat, most people will get out of my way in the grid and pit areas, Always have room to improve, kart, me or the team, Always wanting that next win.
Hi Ryan! I am a new driver, I started last year. I won the four-stroke category here in Hungary and now I am going to compete in Senior Rotax Max this year. When we had a bit of time off between races and I had the opportunity to look at the Rotax drivers I was amazed by their lap time and I didn't know what to do differently to achieve their lap time. Of course, the four-stroke was about 3 seconds slower than the Rotax but still. When I jumped into a Rotax for the first time, throughout the whole day I was struggling to get faster than my 4 stroke lap time and I was only able to shave off about 1.5 seconds and not 3. In my opinion, this video is really helpful for newcomers into karting and into new categories. Keep up the good work champ, I love the videos!
Awesome video Ryan! Been watching your videos rapidly now since I've just brought a used go kart for starting to race this year at some stage! If you're feel bored cruise across and would love input on anything 🙂
Awesome video lots of help especially because out of NZ lockdown I have had such a bad mentality. When doing track walks what notes should you be taking?
@@NorbergNation thanks a lot! Really gonna need this as I’m a novice heading into the dubai O plate and since this is my first race, I have to start last in the pre final for my first three races.
