I'm right here with you. I feel a little helpless very vulnerable and misunderstood people look at me like I'm normal and ask me to do things which are impossible for me to do and then they think I'm just being lazy. I hope you are at least happy in some way. I just couldn't imagine being taken off them meds that they had you on. God bless you and hang in there I'll eventually see you on the other side my friend.

Yes, I came here to find info that my cardiologist who rushes through my visits that are months apart . I saw her once after being in the hospital the first time and was found to have cardiac issues. Second appointment was quick and only discussed upping my lasix and then it was “ see you in six months. “ This video gives me more information than my Dr. gave me. I didn’t get to even discuss my sudden episode of syncope that sent me to,the ER. …I think I need to find another, but my HMO probably won’t ok or pay for it.

I certainly can understand that feeling. I was so looking forward to enjoying retirement with my husband. Both of us were always very hard working and loved being active. Now I feel so defeated by my Heart. I feel bitter about how my case was handled poorly by my first two heart doctors. They didn't listen when I told them my heart was in trouble. They didn't listen. Now it's up to me to keep going and not let this kill me !

@@lmonnette4037 I know how you feel!!! I've had shortness of breath and swollen ankles for 8 years. They truly overlooked how bad this has been for me. I haven't been able to walk any distance all this time. Now I'm terrified how bad this may be.🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

​@@wendi2819... I'm 35 yrs old. Unfortunately we "make just too much" for insurance but for me to get insurance would be at least $2K per month. I've developed varicose veins out of nowhere within the last 10 months, swollen ankles & now for the last two weeks of woken up with my fingers swollen & painful & stiff. I'm always exhausted. Ever since I broke my foot I was inactive for a while & now out of shape. Honestly think I might have heart disease... Just wish I could go to the doctor & I'm about to die or not at 35 yrs old ..

In 2023, soon to be 2024 and nothing has changed. I couldn't afford health insurance after Obamacare. Couldn't pay for my hypertension meds.

SolarReturn yes you can go back to work. It's hard. But I work everyday. On top of kidney failure.

Did you have a heart attack that caused the failure? Are medications keeping symptoms under control?

@@gregorymalchuk272 I've had 32 years first open heart then lots of stents, then an ablation that didn't take then a defibrillator/pacemaker etc. Can you believe it someone gave me a thumbs down? I guess they couldn't handle my truth, this all depends on the condition of your heart at the time. Because some hearts are in better shape than others results vary. On the meds, on April 17th I took myself off my last 2 heart meds, one of them the Amiodorone had my heart pumping so slow that I could only take 3 steps before I had to stop to catch my breath. If some of this stuff works for you consider yourself lucky, I think my heart is just too far gone? I don't want any more surgeries or medication, nothing has worked for me in fact some of this junk has just made me worse. What I would tell my fellow CHF club members is, it's a crapshoot. I'm sure you've seen those Entresto commercials? I was on it for almost a year even though it was making me worse, then I finally gave it up. It's good to talk to other CHF patients but like I said we are all different. Don't expect the same results as others have had, and if your meds are making you worse or giving you side effects that you can't live with do something about it. Doctors may know the standard protocols but they don't know you because they are NOT YOU! What I have learned FOR ME is not much of this junk works. I'm OK with that I'm going to be 74 next month it's not that I want to die, I just don't want to live like this anymore. TheReaper!

@@Reaper1947 Do you feel better now that you are off your medication? What is your ejection fraction? What does the cardiologist think? Look into a medication called Rapamycin. It is an old transplant medication that now is being used as a general-purpose anti-aging medication. It increases lab mouse and rat lifespan by 25 to 30%, and it has been proven in several studies to reduce the inflammatory chemical cascade that causes heart failure. Also look into resveratrol, which is an easily available supplement found in grape skins that has similar anti-aging effects and positive effects in heart failure.

@@gregorymalchuk272 All year I was going downhill until I could only take 2 or 3 steps and I would have to lean on the wall because I was GASPING for air. If I would raise one or two arms to get something out of the cupboard my arms and legs would turn to rubber and down I would go, and come very close to blacking out. It’s a really weird feeling and it was happening every day in early April. What happens is I guess my heart can’t pump up as fast as gravity pulls it out of my arms. The best I can describe it is it I get a quiver and it feels like my battery is going dead. Now to answer your question do I feel better off the meds. The answer is HELL YES! if a walk slow I can actually walk up the basement stairs without HAVING to stop to catch my breath, when I get to the top of the stairs I sit down and rest a bit and catch my breath but nothing like before. On the 16th of April I started reading up on Amiodarone 200 mg, I knew right away it was the Amiodarone but at the same time I quit the metoprolol ER too. Just about every heart medication I’ve ever been on has made me sicker. I have an appointment with my Cardiologist on the 10th, my best guess is he is going to be pissed and think I’m nuts, but I don’t care it’s my life. When I quit the meds on April 17th I figured I might last a few more days at best. I always took my meds at night when I woke up on the 18Th my first day off the meds I was back to my old normal. @toni camaro OK for the record I don't smoke, I am not on statins, I do take some vitamins, as far as the sodium goes I am on 80m of Lasix daily so I spend about 4 hours a day pissing every 15 minutes. TheReaper!

I have a stent and was told after two heart caths in two years..all is well. NOT! Recently had an Afib event, then a cardiac conversion. I then was told my echocardiogram showed my heart didn't bounce back like it should have. My symptoms now are heart failure. Can't walk far without my cane, coughing an unproductive cough, a lot at night. Pain in between my shoulder blades all the way to my chest and always feel like I just ran a marathon! Gained 7 pounds after the cardiac conversion the first week. On my third heart doctor in three years and thank God he is an American. He, I believe will at least listen to me. I know now the only thing keeping me going......is me! I have worked really hard all my life...now this???!? It sucks!
