Forceps delivery had me bed ridden, and in utter agony even moving my big toe, spongebathed in bed, in hospital for 2 weeks, repeated returns to hospital with complications for months - my 1st cesarean I was up showering myself the same day, left hospital on day 5, was mowing knee high grass 2 weeks after birth (don't do that - I didn't realize how dangerous that was, but I had a shit partner at the time)

Agreed! Your body doesn’t bounce back as fast. I’ll need a tummy tuck after my next child, but I’m not sure if that’s from the C-section or from carrying a large baby.

@Tuatha....No disrespect, What are 4 steps delivery is absolutely not in anyway in normal birth it's intervention just like a see section is it there is a lot of trauma involved. C. section is not easy I was not able to walk to stand even for 4-5 days I was bedridden with a catheter for a week. I could not even return to my own home after 10 days in the hospital I had to go stay at my mother's house for 3 weeks on the first floor because I had too many stairs in my house and she had a full bath on the first floor. My bathrooms were either down 13 steps or up 15 steps and I couldn't even do the 4 steps to get into my house after 10 days in the hospital. I had an emergency c-section after 30 hours of labor my son was breach with the umbilical cord around his neck. A c-section it's considered a major operation! I was in excruciating pain for over a month, it took forever to recover. Your forceps delivery was an invasive intervention as well, not an experience that you compare to a standard vaginal birth experience. I was delivered via forceps, only 5lbs2oz my mother was traumatized she said I almost killed her. Three years later she has an uncomplicated vaginal birth with my brother 9lbs14oz almost double my size, she said it was easy painless and she pushed twice instead of all day with me. 🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼 🤗🤗 At the end of the day the most important thing is not how your child got here. I’ve never raised a human child, but I’ve had multiple elderly dogs who can’t walk anymore and have incontinence issues at the same time. Doggie diapers are my best friend during those times. Especially when I’m trying to wrangle around other animals at the same time. Then, after a pup sadly passes, I make sure to find someone to give any excess diapers to since I know it’s an expensive necessity that other people need as well.

Until my daughter was 2.. “what does she want for Christmas/birthday” … diapers. Doesn’t matter the brand. Here is her size. I honestly did not buy diapers until she was 3. Yes, I know 3 is late but it was even worse than that. She was 4 before she figured it out. I was afraid I would send her to kindergarten with a diaper bag. But in her own time she got it and now she is a pro!

Yes girl! My first baby was 9lbs 10oz so I decided to have a c section knowing she was going to be big. And I'm currently pregnant and she is in the 97 percentile so I'm scheduling another c section! And I'm proud of it.

I birthed a 9lbs 8oz baby naturally. Let me just say. You missed out on absolutely nothing!! I then had a c-section with my second child, and my third little baby will also be a c-section. I had a very traumatic birth with my first. My c-section was a breeze. And my kids are perfectly fine. The lie that c-section babies don’t bond with mom or whatever else people want to fear monger women about isn’t true. ❤️ all birth is badass! And you’re strong af for having three c-sections!

Yes 💯 I felt really hurt by his comments about Christians as if we are all this way he describes. I am so sorry for people have bad experiences with some Christians and I am disturbed that some people in our faith do not act Godly at all. But people are people, we’re sinners, we’re imperfect, every single one of us, not just Christians. I don’t want people hating God for things that some of His followers do because even though we should be God’s voice here on earth, a lot of the time we fail greatly at that and I am so saddened that it’s God who takes the hit for it instead of us as imperfect people.

My mom went into labor 2 months early when she had my brother. She was hiking with my dad at the time, and they got helicopter lifted out of there. Thinking back on it, my mom knows it’d be easier if she just walked back down the trail and drove to the hospital. However, it was so stressful that they took that more extreme option because that’s the only one they were given by the emergency phone operators.

Who are you to decide that she didn’t experience trauma. Would it be alright for someone to deny your trauma, or it is different for you because you’re a person, and she isn’t??

Yeah everything’s about you and what you ‘just don’t like’ based on your ignorant assumptions. If she was making comments before her birth, I bet you’d criticise that too but because it’s you, it’s not strange at all that you’re denying her trauma at this important moment in your life. Her experience isn’t valid but yours is… according to you. No one said anything about how your baby came into the world so you’re the one jumping on the victim bandwagon, and hating her for talking about her OWN experience the way that you are doing. @@aly38 no a pap is much more bearable lol but when you’re pregnant, you have a mucus plug and stuff that plugs up the end of the cervix until you lose it and then labor begins. So she “sweeps those membranes” by using her fingers while doing a cervical exam. And tries to make them come lose to help induce labor. It is painful even if you know that’s what’s going to happen, but when you’re not expecting it, it’s literally horrifying.

@ Riley Blanton ... I know this may sound weird of me to ask BUT are you willing to share your site? If not, I completely understand. BUT I had my precious daughter 3 years ago and a lot of environmental things happened prior to my giving birth and immediately following (my fiance's and the biological father of our daughter, father passed away 48 hours before I gave birth to our daughter. My water was a slow leak water break and the hospital prematurely discharged me, causing my OBGYN to get infuriated that they had to immediately induce me because there was barely any amniotic fluid left for my daughter to breathe and I was 75% effaced and 3&1/2cm dilated. He was pissed that they put our daughter's life in danger and so were we. Then our daughter spent the 1st week of her life in NICU which is completely heartbreaking and shattered me and I was convinced I was a bad mother before I got the chance to mother my daughter. Following a month later, our cat passed away in our home and I found her while my fiance was working at night, with a newborn and hormonal to begin with, I was hysterically crying because I had raised her since she was a kitten. My Ma fell on ice outside and broke her hip, needing emergency hip surgery. My fiance fell at work and broke a bone in his leg. My father was in and out of the hospital every other week because he was dying of congestive heart failure, he passed away in the family home in my Ma's arms the early morning hours of New Year's Day - 2020.... Adrianna Marie was 18 months old. A few days before my father passed away, my fiance was in a horrible car accident and totaled our car. Money issues, sleep deprivation, stress etc. To name a few things. Majority of the time I would start shaking in the morning because I was not sure what to expect to happen that day).... I have had anxiety my entire life and developed PPA (postpartum anxiety) after I had Adrianna Marie. I'm interested in reading different opinions, experiences, advice from others including those looking to be in the Psychiatric Field. My psychiatrist is not willing to listen to me when I told her and my Chart is already flagged for NOT giving me any SRI/SSRI medication because I have tried numerous in the past and it's increased suicidal thoughts and added thoughts of hurting others, which I never had prior to medication intake. I refused to take the medication and have 3 years worth of zoloft because my doctor is not willing to listen to me and told me to "Just do what I tell you to do. I'm a trained professional, I know what I'm saying" ... after the first prescription, she had to change appointments and for 3 months we did not physically see or talk to her. The office would take the copayments over the phone and the scripts were sent to the Pharmacy. Completely dangerous and unprofessional IMHO to do to a FTM (first time mom) who is also a SAHM (stay-at-home mom) and the primary caretaker of our daughter. Anyway, I'm so sorry for the lengthy comment and details about my life. I just wanted to give a little background information and honestly I am still extremely anxious every single day and interested and willing to read &/or listen to anyone who is willing to give advice.

We'd go out drinking, talk about boys, watch R-rated movies and then Sunday morning, I barely existed. I wasn't raised in their church so I was less than Sunday morning. I understand church hurt. It's happened to me with close friends and leadership. However, it's important to fix our eyes on God. I always remember that Jesus in Revelation warned the churches bc they were doing so many things that were inappropriate. He warned them to repent. The best we can do is pray for those in the church who are acting the wrong way. Being selfish, jealous, gossiping, two-faced, fake, etc Pray for them and be the light in the church for others who may need a genuine Christian.

I was a youth leader for several years. After my pastor embarrassed me by confronting me about a “crush” on him before our foreign mission trip , to marrying one of his youth, I got out and I am SO much happier. I still work with kids but just not in a church and I am sooo much happier.

Ugh. I’m a Christian and started to have to get parental permission for my students to borrow Harry Potter from my classroom library (books I personally love). One kid’s parents refused to return a copy so that “other kids wouldn’t be able to read it.” My principal stood up for me and charged the mother for it at the end of the year. Kid later told me that his mom made him help burn it (I also had it sent back with all sorts of notes about “Satan” etc…and some parents to my face even). 🙄But, after that… the parents had to sign a permission form before the kid could take it home-and they lived behind my desk instead of on the regular books were (and mind you, when I say “classroom library” I mean books I bought with my own money…) the absolute audacity that the burned that book (and said all sorts of things like blows my mind to this dat like “celebrating black mass blah blah blah”).
