The leatherbacks lifespan is around 45 to 50 years, i thought they'd have a longer lifespan than that. The australian wrap around spider would make for another good video.

My guess is that they do the same thing as some whales do. There are small gaps in the jaw, so when it's closed, water can flow out of the mouth, but the only direction that food can go is into the stomach.
