Sea turtles are marine reptiles. There are seven sea turtle species and they are found in oceans throughout the world. Some sea turtles are the largest living turtles! Other sea turtles don't quite reach that size. Sea turtles spend most of their lives at sea, but females will return to land to lay their eggs - often to the same beach they were born! Nearly every sea turtle species is at risk of extinction, but if they can survuve the perils of their youth they may live to be 100 years old!

Range: tropical and temperate oceans worldwide
Size: 3 to 6+ feet (0.91 to 1.8+m)
Diet: jellyfish, seagrass, algae, crustaceans, mollusks, etc.
Lifespan: 100+ years (probably - there isn't much data on this!)
