You do make a pretty holster. However I do take issue with the tooled part. You are not tooling you are stamping. Tooling is done with swivel knife and assorted tools for each part of the design. Second, and please take this as constructive, the quality of leather. When cutting quality leather it should never sound like paper tearing. This sounds a lot like Argentinan leather. You do make a nice product put nice leather into it. You deserve it. Second, try doing your initial cutout with your knife under the leather. It will eliminate the fiber residue. The French stich you did on the plug was awesome. Think about putting in a filler piece on the final close stich. This will add ease to the gun draw and add a great deal to the function that the buyers will appreciate. It's one of the things that separates us from production run stuff coming out of India. Please take this as constructive and not destructive. I have spent over 40 years doing leather work professionally. It was only through the old leather workers that I learned to get better. Belive me they did not spare my feelings at all. If you can, I would highly recommend going to a saddle and harness makers get together anywhere you can. Get up with the old makers and listen. I still do and learn something new evertime. My best of luck to you my friend and never stop learning.
I 've made few holsters myself. When I started years ago a older man, I mean in his 90's told me as a cowboy back in the day , all the holsters were open on the bottom so any debris, rain, snow, pine needles etc could call free from the holster and not collect at the bottom.
I want to commend you sir for not having that annoying music on while doing the project. That way you can hear the real working of your Leather. That was a absolute piece of art 👍 Highly Professional job well done. God Bless sir keep up the great work
Veey nice - the only comment I'd make is the stitching on the inside of the holster, over time that's going to wear from the gun being continually drawn
