Haven't watched the full video yet, but "Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken" are the words of House Martell of Dorne. Dorne was never conquered by the Targaryens. They only became part of the 7 Kingdoms by marriage.

Here’s the thing - the same thing almost happens to Sansa every season since we’ve met her - every season she seems to just narrowly escape sexual assault. Her virginity is the only thing she’s been able to hold onto since her life was turned upside down Now - on the day she’s married and seems to soberly accept that she’s going to have to do her duty and have sex - nope…. She’s brutally coerced. Even unenthusiastic consent is taken from her. It feels like a horrible punch line - Sansa the silly stark girl who just wanted to be in love so badly must be robbed of her last innocent quality

In the books, ALL the Stark kids are wargs, even Sansa and ESPECIALLY Arya. Sansa just didn't get to explore that part of her because her wolf was the first to die. Arya is half a world away from her wolf for most of the story, but she has very vivid wolf dreams, and later cat dreams, as she dreams of the cats that roam Bravos.

Sansa was 13 when it started, and 14 when she married Tyrion halfway through the 3rd season. In season 4 LF mentioned that it 20 years since the rebellion, and it was 17 years at the beginning, so about 3 years, or so, have passed since the 1st episode.

Can't help but admire the haunting visual beauty of the wedding scene with those little lights flickering on the snow. It's mesmerizing in its eerie silence. Winterfell with its desolate castle feels like a dystopian fairytale inverted on its head right now. I'm a sucker for ambiences and in a different situation the surroundings would almost come off like a heavenly, blissful winter wonderland. But here it's a reminder of the gloom and despair. These disquieting visual sets always get me.

Hahaha I definitely don’t agree that it’s full on misogyny that you don’t like Margaery. But I don’t think you guys are understanding her situation fully and I do think it has to do with her being a woman. When it comes to the female characters in this show, you have to think about the rules & expectations of high born women, but also about their personalities. For me, it was easy to separate the high born women into groups: You’ve got those like Arya & Brienne, who are high born, but do not follow the usual rules of ladies. These characters have more masculine traits. Arya, as a second born daughter and one of the youngest of a noble house, didn’t have many expectations placed on her. She still was expected to marry a lord, but since a young age she has rejected this. Brienne, an only child/eldest daughter, was expected to marry a lord, but because of her build/looks/more masculine personality, rejects this. Then you have those like Cersei, Sansa, Margaery, Dany (Dany can almost be in her own category.) But we’ve seen from the beginning that as the eldest/only daughters of a noble family, they are the property of the fathers/head of the family. They are told what to do, who to marry, when to marry, etc. They don’t REALLY have a choice, especially as more feminine characters who aren’t going to use their own physical force to advance themselves. Instead, especially Cersei, Sansa, and Margaery, they have to learn to play the game-like littlefinger & Varys, but without the security of being a man. Just like cersei was sold to Robert & then Loras Tyrell, Sansa was sold to Joffrey, Tyrion, and now Ramsey, Margaery was also sold to Joffrey and Tommen to advance their house. You heard Cersei when Tywin told her she had to marry Loras, “please don’t make me do it again.” This is Cersei Lannister, and was still powerless in terms of marriage while her father was alive & running their house. Yes, Margaery wants to be queen, but you rather her not want to be queen? Be sold AND miserable? She is simply doing what she can in her position to better herself & her family. Yes, it’s gross that Tommen & Joffrey are children, and yes, she is manipulating them. But would you rather her ACTUALLY love them? Think of her reasons for doing this, and keep in mind, these marriages were arranged for her: - She found out Joffrey was a monster, and so she manipulated him so that she didn’t have to suffer as his wife. - She knows Tommen is a sweet child who is being manipulated by his mother, so she tries manipulating him to get Cersei away- this is a SMART and GOOD move for her and EVERYONE. Like you said in this reaction, Tommen has no real power because Cersei is still running things. All Margaery was trying to do was stop that. To do that, she had to get closer to Tommen than Cersei is, and she used her strengths to do that. Can you honestly say the people wouldn’t be better under the Tyrells than the Lannisters? Yes, to us, it’s gross and weird that she’s marrying Tommen. We’re not supposed to be comfortable with it, and even Margaery was not comfortable with it, but she did what she had to do as a only daughter of a noble house being sold into a marriage. Also keep in mind that age gaps like this (15 & 20) are normal for them. Dany (16) & Drogo (30). Jon Arryn (43) & Lysa Tully (14). Loras (18) & Cersei (37). Sansa (13) & Tyrion (32). The difference in those situations (minus Cersei & Loras) is that the men typically held the power. With Cersei & Loras, as queen & as the more dominant personality, Cersei holds the power, whereas in Margaery’s situation, as the woman ANDA lesser rank, she has to TAKE the power. She is well aware that Tommen is young & easy to manipulate, but at least she’s not being cruel about it. I think people would understand the hate more if it were ANYONE else. The reason it’s so confusing to us is that Margaery isn’t doing anything to be cruel, mean, etc. She is genuinely a good person who is just trying to better her situation. She’s not doing things for money, and she doesn’t want power to be cruel or controlling like Cersei. She wants to be queen because, like Cersei and like Sansa, she’s been told since she was a child that she should want that, AND she understands that it’s the best position she could be in. That’s why people are confused about the hate. Yes- she is manipulative, cunning, & ambitious like Cersei. But she is not cruel, and she is doing it for the right reasons. Much like we’ve seen Sansa start to do, and we know Cersei does, she uses her gifts to advance in the game. For her, it’s her intelligence and especially her sexuality. She married Renly, a friend, to advance her position. She knew he was gay, but she NEEDED his child to secure her position. Same with Joffrey and Tommen. It’s confusing that you can say Cersei is one of your favorite characters when she has the same personality type as Margaery, but is genuinely cruel and only cares about herself, has done actually terrible things, and is actually hated by the people. But then turn around and HATE Margaery…for what exactly? Being cunning? Maybe I just don’t remember, but genuinely, what has she done that’s been BAD? The misogyny in this show usually comes from people liking Arya & Brienne, but not Sansa because she’s “weak” simply for her more feminine traits. Just like the Sansa hate, it’s not that people don’t like her, it’s WHY. So you guys aren’t falling into that kind of misogyny because you understand that women like Sansa, Dany, Cersei, Cat, etc are just as strong of characters even though it’s not a physical thing like it is for Brienne & Arya, more masculine traits. BUT, you are hating on Margaery for using her sexuality- something that as an attractive & desirable woman, she has been reduced to by the men in power-to her advantage. How can you blame her and hate her for this? She is making the best of her situation, the same way Cersei, Sansa, Arya, and all of the women in this series have had to do with the strengths they have. Like someone else said below, it’s not that you don’t like Margaery, it’s WHY. Think about the reasons you don’t like her, then compare that to other characters you do like. For example, Tywin, a smart, cunning man, is praised for being intelligent and using his strengths to advance his house in cruel, violent ways. Tyrion is the same way, just not with violence. Littlefinger, Varys, etc…all play the game and are praised for their cunning & ambition. AND they have the security of being men. The Tyrell’s ambition is judged more harshly because in their family, the women have the stronger personalities (Olenna & Margaery vs Loras and Mace). I mean, to call her a skank for marrying again? As if all the women haven’t been sold into multiple marriages….and for marrying brothers? Catelyn Tully was engaged to Neds brother & when he died, was given to Ned. Is she a skank too? Been waiting for this since a certain Bust! OST Single released. This episode really devastated me the first time I saw it... and every time afterwards. But, Alfie who plays Theon/Reek acted the hell out of that final scene.

I'm sooooooo happy to see Queen Cersei Lannister in your top 3 characters and Sansa. You have two of top 6. #1 without a doubt my favorite character in this series and the most misunderstood is Queen Cersei Lannister. #2 Sansa Stark, #3 Olenna Tyrell, #4 Melisandre also super misunderstood, #4 Margaery Tyrell, and #6 Gilly. Even though the Tyrells made my top favorites I'm glad you see them for what they really are. "Ambitious social climbers" just as Queen Cersei said to Margaery with the "you ever call me sister again ill have you strangled in your sleep" speech.

In the books, all of the Stark kids (Jon included) have some sort of warg capacity. The exception is Sansa, because Lady died so quickly. (However, there is a scene in the later books that hints she may be able to warg birds. It’s never confirmed though.) Also; people come to the House of b&w for release from pain. So the Faceless Men put them out of their misery so they can die in peace. It’s a mercy.

Literally almost all the children characters in the show are like many years older than you make them out to be and this happens many times throughout these reactions. I would redirect you to the wiki, but to avoid spoilers for the main characters here I will not. They even purposefully used older actors (by 2 years or more in many cases) because they did want older characters in the story, than those in the books and it does make sense in many cases, because of the changes that were done to the story in the show like with Tommen for example. The result however is this. Let's just say that many of the youngest characters start at age 11-12+ or so at S01, and grow by 1 year per season more or less. So yeah they are much older than you think in S05. To give you some perspective, Obara Sand actress, the eldest daughter, is 25 years old irl when she was cast for the show. Not a teenager by a long mile. Its funny when people call them teenagers. This is from the wiki: "If you are unaware, the Sand Snakes (wiki article) are the bastard daughters of Oberyn Martell: Obara (28) daughter of an Oldtown whore. Nymeria (25) daughter of a Volantene noblewoman. Tyene (23) daughter of a septa."
