Great reaction quez, if you wanna react to more jordan, can you watch his best defensive block highlights or his ability to play through contact highlights. Both are pretty great. MJ was probably the most talented athlete in human history. If he never focused on Basketball and focused on Golf, Football, Baseball, Track and Field anything he would have been the best at any of these without question. Could you guys imagine MJ in the long jump or a QB hell or even a wide receiver!

Alex English was one of the most prolific scorers of the 80s. A reporter once asked him who was a better defender between Pippen and Jordan. Alex told reporter that when they played Chicago he torched Pip for 20+ points in first half and that he heard MJ was livid at Scottie for allowing Alex to get hot. MJ told Pip he'd check Alex in second half - a half in which English only scored four points. This video showed two of Jordan's blocks on Alex in fourth quarter. Like I've said many times - MJ's mental was maniacal. He played with so much tenacity. And you don't see that in today's players. But what I have always been in awe of is his stamina. To golf, drink alcohol, smoke cigars then go out and play feverishly at both ends and still have the energy to take over in crunch-time is purely insane. Black Jesus in 80s and 90s is where amazing happened!

Nice comment. That said... that nickname you dropped at the end. It's corny. Reggie Miller likes to tell stories... you can tell when he's telling fibs. I don't believe MJ called himself that.

@bonecold4387 Gary was great but I still give it to jordan, he ties Gary for most first defensive team selections and they both won a DPOY award, but jordan also was in the top 5 for DPOY voting for 7 different seasons. And he has 2 more steal titles and he averaged more blocks and steals for his career. Jordan was the better defender.

@@MicroWave233 Like GOAT debate, it's not even close. MJ was more tenacious and had superior reflexes and athleticism. Jordan was Ronnie Lott on defense while Payton was Troy Polamalu.

@microwave813 love your homework. I agree Jordan was the better all around defender especially with his size and athleticism just wanted to make the debate. Both guys were absolute dogs on the defensive end. Payton was undersized for a lot of his matchups even had some great matchups against Jordan so got to give the glove his credit there.

Quez be honest a one handed "push off" in that era cmon young blood you've watched his highlights he didn't play the way they played he didn't need to He didn't go around fouling those better than him like everyone else was doing to him He played the game man Put up numbers that James can only dream of at a time where defense was physical af 10 times scoring champion speaks of pure dominance he didn't need low blows to win games he took that shit spectacularly everytime he had the chance

I’m about Michael’s age and coached younth basketball for years. One thing that I always taught that you see MJ doing in this video is when you block, if at all possible, keep the ball in play. If you block it out of bounds, you stop the play but the opponent has a 100% of maintaining possession. If the block is kept in play, you have at least a 50% chance of creating a possession change and getting easy points in transition. These basic fundamentals of team play are almost unheard of today, even in the NBA. It’s really sad. Great video and reaction 👍

Depending on how his body was positioned when jumping he knew which hand to block shots with to prevent a foul being called that's where Kobe got that blocking with his off hand from.

I find these videos remind me of my childhood but at the same time i feel conflicted because i used to HATE Michael Jordan. Im a die hard home team fan(Suns) i root for the home team no matter what no matter how bad they are but every year he would crush my team over and over. I hated when people would jump on the MJ bandwagon. I only started to appreciate MJ because of the way basketball is now days it lost a lot of the fight in its defenders it used to showed how much players wanted to win. People say Lebron is the greatest and im telling you hes not. Personally i think Kobe was the best but thats just me. i was not always a Jordan fan but if you only ever seen Lebron play i can forgive them for not knowing any better but theirs no video or highlight reel that can explain how good MJ was. When your the best their are 3 types of people who watch basketball die hards, bandwagon fans, and haters.. and im telling you Jordan wouldnt just beat your team he would embarrass the sh** out of teams. Lol I remember people were upset when Jordan retired i was like finally he coulda did it sooner. Now i just miss the level of competition people would bring. Players used to have to earn their pay so everyone was giving it their all of they knew they wouldnt make anything otherwise. Now days their paid before they even step on the court. You can take the dog out the fight but you cant take the fight out the dog.

Larry Bird is the GOAT. Not MJ. And the following is true about Larry Bird. Larry birds timeframe played 13 seasons in the NBA and what is impressive Larry missed nearly an entire season for bone spurs in his heels and played just 105 games in his last two campaigns due to his bad back. Those last two NBA seasons, 1990-91 and 91-92, were painful to watch, as Bird had to lie on the floor at times to ease the tension on his aching back. Years later, doctors explained the lengths they had to go to just to get Larry Legend on the court, and after hearing that, you won’t believe just how painful the whole situation was for him. Larry Bird infamously hurt his back doing something perfectly on-brand for the humble Celtics superstar, building a driveway for his mother by himself in 1985. And while the back injury affected him for the last seven seasons of his career, it truly became a problem starting in 1988. By the 1990s, Bird “had lost the structural stability of his spine,” according to his orthopedic therapist, Dan Dyrek. “It would slip into abnormal positions to try and lock itself to get an artificial stability.” The pain for the Celtics star was intense. Dyrek compares his spinal issues to “getting your finger stuck in a door, and somebody’s still pushing on the door.” Despite the pain, Bird did whatever he could to play, even while wondering whether he was doing long-term damage that would affect his quality of life in retirement. But he did it because, as he learned from his father years before, “If you get paid to go to work, you gotta go to work.” So, during the last two years of Bird’s career, Dyrek and his counterparts would go to extreme measures to get Bird on the court. “What we had to do was unlock his spine, realign it, [and] do techniques that would hold that for four hours, six hours, that type of thing, and then he’d go play basketball,” Dyrek explained. And while Larry Bird now admits he “probably should have retired in ’88, ’89,” he says the competition and hopes of one more NBA Finals showdown with Magic Johnson kept him going. www.sportscasting.com/larry-bird-doctors-unlock-spine-before-games-end-career/ and Larry Bird injured his shooting hand in a bar fight during the 1985 Eastern Conference Finals www.sportscasting.com/larry-bird-involvement-bar-fight-cost-celtics-1985-nba-finals/ which shows how much heart, love and dedication Larry had for the game. And There will never ever be a player like Larry Bird again. What an insult to Larry bird, His legacy, His accomplishments and the pain he endured and still did all that he did. How a person handles Adversity and other intangibles are part of what makes greatness. And watch these two video's ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NegTAHIWF70.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-kXNLtXUTRYY.html

Then there will be no doubt who to go to this because you would have just saw every game right there. But I keep telling people man there will not be another player like Michael Jordan out of all the people that came through the NBA that they kept saying he going to be the next Michael Jordan he going to be the next Michael Jordan. Oh no! He's going to be the next Michael Jordan. The only two people that ever could be the next Michael Jordan was Kobe Bryant and Vince Carter hands down them. Two people them the only two

I sorry my brother I love you show but I'm going to correct you accordingly to NBA rules and regulations a push off is with both arms fully extended and with both hands on the opposing player inserting physical contact or force look it up yourself but when you said is Michael Jordan's greatest steal which lead to his last push off ever it sets off alarm bells of a hater because you don't want people to perceive and look at you in that manner because that is beneath you and your way better than that 👍😇😁"know thy self"
