Crazy how in a big man era, the Dynasty Bulls never really had a dominant big man (Luke Lonely probably the best known, but he was hardly comparable to all the truly dominant big men in that era). Kinda makes it even more amazing that the Dynasty era Bulls won as much as they did without ever having a top tier big man.

Lmao the teams from the 90s would man handle any modern team , LeBron never been guarded man on man for the whole game . Easy to score when you only face zone

Did yall see that (if im not mistaken) the 2010 Xmas game when Kobe Guarded Bron it was 1v1 and Kobe won that battle easily… When Bron (in the 4th Quarter only) tried to guard Kobe it was Double teams …. Much Respect to Dwade tho, he was playing savage D 1v1 vs Mamba

So I guess Lebron was the weak competition for the spurs and golden state and the mavericks. If every player Jordan beat was weak that means the losers of finals are weak and Lebron's lost 6. Soo pretty weak lebum

The 98 Jazz was a great team... they swept the Lakers 4-0 who had 4 allstars on their squad. Kobe, Shaq, Nick Van Exel, and Eddie Jones.

This needs to be repeated, the jazz were a great team constantly facing tough comp in the playoffs year and year out

@thehumannugakareemsupreme9484 slower pace back in the late 90s to early 2000s. Game was more about defense and half set offense.

97/98 Jazz is considered the greatest team to never win a championship. And the Bulls were the underdogs and were not expected to win.

@@thehumannugakareemsupreme9484Did you actually watch that particular game? Do you know exactly why they only scored that much? It was not _at all_ because Utah wasn’t a talented basketball team.

Buck Williams was a beast believe it or not. I watched him play at Maryland and then in the NBA mainly because he was from my home town. Rocky Mount NC.

The players back then were not as athetic as they are today. That is true, but teams in the 90's would beat teams from today because they know fundamentals. Remind me what medal Team USA got in the last FIBA games again?

During that season, he voiced dissatisfaction with his contract and displayed a lack of urgency to return. Throughout the NBA Finals, he posted scoring tallies of 10 points in one game, 6 points in another, and in Game 6, he managed only 8 points while logging just 25 minutes due to back issues.
@Nysdaddy
@Nysdaddy 6 месяцев назад
@the… He had 6 pts in game 5, that all gave him a 15 ppg average for the series on 41% shooting. That’s the type of stuff nobody ever acknowledges when they try to prop up Scottie to dog Mike. Those two single digit performances gave Scottie 34 total such performances in his career playing along side Mike in the playoffs/Chicago. A single digit performance in a big game is a Scottie Pippen classic as he bookended his Chicago playoff career with one.

Bulls win ---->They didnt have Kareem If Bulls had win while Lakers were with Kareem --->Kareem was old. People have to realize that Kareem was already old when Jordan entered the league.He was 37. Divac was a lot better option than Kareem at that point.
@justamessenger4577
@justamessenger4577 6 месяцев назад
Yea I don’t know why people bring up the lakers not having Kareem. He retired after the 1988-89 season, TWO YEARS before the lakers played the bulls in the finals. In those two seasons, the lakers went 63-19 and 58-24. So why does Kareem not being on the lakers matter to anyone? Makes no sense to me. 😂

Kobe took advantage of the leagues new defensive rules against the raptors when he scored 81 . Talking about you can’t touch no one anymore . That their tells you everything . Kobe played n the 90s early 00s and 2010s

If Michael came into the league today, he never would have bulked up. He never would have created a dominant post game. He would be prime Russell Westbrook with a superhero cape on. Put great shooters around him and he's averaging 30 a game on just dunks

yeah, we'll hit the like and subscribe if we think you are worthy of it.... go on.... that 96 Rockets team wasn't a super team, all three were in their mid 30's. All 3 retired around 2000. So the super team narrative with them is bogus. The Jazz team was great not just cause of STockton, Malone and Hornacek; they had Antoine Carr, Ostertag, Howard Isley, Adam O'Keefe and each of them knew their role on the team and there were no egos. That 93 Suns team was incredible, power, agility, speed, Majerle was a dunking beast as well as a great 3 point shooter, Tom Chambers is one of two player in league history with over 20,000 points not to make the hall of fame. Keven Johnston was very intelligent, fast, could dunk, great passer and decent defender Blazers; apart from the obvious, like Drexler, Terry Porter was a very intelligent player, good shooter, passer, he just knew how to play the right way and could read situations very well, Duckwoth was a quieter versioni of the modern...who am I kidding, he was just a giant, quiet, unassuming but very strong, Buck Williams; Arnett described him to a tee, quiet but ferocious on the boards especially. All those teams were truly, truly great, I watched them on live tv, the chemistry, the skill level, intelligence, they weren't superteams, they had tops 2 all stars and the 2 to three players who were coachable and could adjust to a system and role players who knew what they had to do to help the team. pippen, grant and longley should be on their hands and knees thanking MJ for what he did for them as players, if it wasn't for MJ Pippen would be just an average player with flashes of good defense. This is Old F*ck, signing off. Good job kid, keep it up and I will surely subscribe

Weak era where hand checks were a thing you would be pulled up for travel some of the best players to ever play come out of that era ya talking about a man who just hated losing and worked harder then anyone to win all defensive player and top point scorer in the same yr shows how hard he worked every game and only had pips in the first 3 took the bulls from nowhere to glory with a ok team then come back had Rodman and pips and did it again

Against the Suns , all star point guard Kevin Johnson went off the first game. Next game Mike took him out of the game. 0 points. He was so shook they bench him the next game. People don't remember how good the league was then because Mike kept a bunch of Hall of Famers from winning a ring. For 8 years only 2 chances to win a ring.

All I know is that the '96 Sonics wouldn't have lost vs '11 Mavs like "king James" epically choking or perhaps the '14 Spurs.

I've watched tons of them. They were more physical. The hand checking was there and there was no 3 second violation in the paint. As good as Jordan was, I actually liked Drexler. Athletically, he rivaled Jordan; from my own observance. Hakeem was badass. I can see why you say its ass. You're used to the 3pt fast paced game they have today. Back then it was slower and more fundamental.
