Keep putting them in this very high pedestal, I beg you. “They’re the Lakers.” They’re supposed to win it every single year. But seriously, they look sharp. JJ Redick is going to win COY. He looks the type to do it. The Lakers are still beatable. Their bench is weaker than the Celtics. AD hates playing center but he has no choice because Jaxson Hayes is another DeAndre Jordan and Christian Wood is scrawny and plays small. AD playing C will wear him out. But where you can really expose the Lakers are their unathletic wings in DLo and Reaves. Gabe and Knecht aren’t much athletes. You can smoke their backcourt. It’s like clockwork when DLo disappears in the playoffs. Lakers did just give up 127 pts to the Kings. The Lakers are very beatable. But they look good so far and JJ is making them well prepared. If the Lakers beat the Celtics in June, the Celtics will still win more championships in the future. They have the longer runway to win more regardless if they don’t repeat. Tatum is still only 26. Brown is 28. And Pritchard and Hauser are a lot more developed than someone like Knecht. Their only old guy is really Horford. Jrue is 34 and still got a few more years. Derrick is 30 and is definitely an upgrade over Marcus Smart since he doesn’t play dumb and can catch fire from deep that Smart wasn’t always consistent at. Celtics are like 9-man deep of good players and they still won a chip without Porzingis in a lot of it. And AD is shorter than Porzingis. He can’t stop his threes. Denver is looking worse and worse every year. It’s like they can’t afford to keep their championship core. For 23-24, they lose Bruce Brown and Jeff Green. Christian Braun is not as good as Bruce Brown. He makes stupid plays and he gets cold from deep. Then for 24-25, they lose KCP. They look like the 2021 Bucks. They seem one and done. I can’t believe my Clippers beat them at their house. Year after year since winning their chip, they get worse. Salary cap is preventing them from keeping the core that won it in 2023. I still watch the Jamal Murray game winners against the Lakers on loop because I love watching the Lakers look so disappointed… 😂 Game 2 is my fav over Game 5. The team that intrigues me are the Warriors. I know they beat a couple of tanking teams in Portland and Utah. But that 12-man rotation might be something revolutionary by Kerr. Why not play your entire active roster? Lessen the load on Steph and Draymond. Gives time to players they’re still trying to develop. While Redick will play an 7-8 man rotation by the playoffs, Kerr can conserve his stars if he deploys it in the playoffs. You want Steph fresh for the playoffs. You want LeBron and AD completely worn out if you enjoy watching the FakeShow lose.
honestly never been a lebron fan, neither the way he plays or this public pwrsona. but ive been very much enjoying the smooth, in control, versatile playstyle he has been showing. It is peak Basketball, no doubt about it. He may be the most versatile player in the league, maybe all time, and it might not be close. He looks great.
Public persona? A family man, never got in trouble, self made billionaire, put his best friends in position to make millions in their own…. Sounds pretty solid to me. Who cares about political stances. I hang out with people I disagree with everyday.
@@Disneymagic24 because he hasnt always played this way. he may have had these same tools for a while, but right now he is using them all and always looking good doing so. the team is firing on all cylinders and it is allowing the full spectrum of his abilities to really shine. he isnt forced into doing one thing, he can read and react, he can have legitimate options to play with, with or without the ball in his hand. he isnt as predictable, there is a lot of life in his gamw lets say. a lot of spontaneous decision making that looks more fresh and more multi faceted than before.
40yo season. The move for Bronny is and always has been more about LBJ than Bronny. I see no problem with him taking up a roster spot. Any real father knows this: you never want to look weak in front of your kids especially your boys. LBJ needs as much reason to engage and remain motivated as possible and seeing his son on his journey is the BEST way to guarantee this. Now, Bronny has the potential to be a decent role player so he’ll need minutes and that’s where the conundrum starts imo. He’s not going to get minutes unless it’s a blowout at the NBA. So that’s where time in the G-league helps his personal development. But the real time experience of traveling on the NBA can and is valuable. I think the correct move is to split his time between both.
if lebron had been a primary scorer instead of being more multifaceted we may have seen a drop off. But the addition of a solid 3 pt shot and his ability to put up 20 plus points a night can be deceiving. He is diminished, he has just made fantastic adjustments and used his intelligence to maximize what he has left. Don't get me wrong, he has a lot left, he just started with more than anyone else.
