Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra talks about the team's matchup vs. the Los Angeles Lakers in what was Dwyane Wade’s final game against friend and former teammate LeBron James. Spoelstra discusses the final minutes of play when LeBron and the Lakers prevailed over Wade and the Heat 108-105. Spoelstra also talks about what it’s like to be coaching this generation of players, expressing his pride on and off the court and jokes that it never looked right to see Dwyane Wade (4:50) in either a Chicago Bulls jersey or a Cleveland Cavaliers jersey. He adds that he’ll let LeBron James in a Cavaliers jersey slide, but says “this doesn’t look right” referencing LeBron in a Lakers jersey.

These are Pat's comments on a convo between him and LeBron: "And I remember LeBron looking at me, and he said, ‘Don’t you ever get the itch?’ I said, ‘The itch for what?’ He said, ‘The itch to coach again?’ I said, ‘No, I don’t have the itch." Spo has always been a class act even when his boss (pat riley) acted up when Bron left. And this speaks to so much of Lebron’s character that he can leave a franchise but still maintain that respect and love from them. He’s always gonna have haters on the court but off he court, there’s absolutely no reason ever to hate on this man.

I am neither a Heat fan or Cavs fan, but no doubt I respect Heat fans WAY more for the way they treated LeBron. I think the way most NBA fans view LeBron's tenure with the Cavs was out of obligation for that shit city and shit franchise. He was forced to put up with their bullshit until he got that championship and had ZERO obligation to be chained down to that ass franchise. Contrast that to his time with the Heat when LeBron actually looked like he enjoyed playing basketball.
