just unfortunate he left the Cavs like he did. its partly the cavs fault cuz they couldn't put a team around him still wish he stayed his whole career.
The crazy thing about LeBron is that he was double teamed, in his prime, just as much if not more than Shaq was and currently has a higher career scoring average than him. That's no disrespect to Superman who put up GREAT scoring numbers throughout his career, just a great compliment to the King.
This Cavs team's run to the Finals kind of reminded me of OKC in 2012 when they lost to Miami in the Finals. Reason being is that both this team and the 2012 Thunder were down 2-0 to a veteran team (2007 Pistons, 2012 Spurs) and found a way to win 4 straight to bounce them. Also, the reason both the Cavs and Thunder lost in the Finals is because, in my opinion at least, LeBron and Durant were both not ready to take that next step and beat a much better team. However, LeBron's supporting cast here was FAAAAR worse than Durant had in 2012.
That Cavs team wasn't anywhere near as good as the Thunder in 2012. The only reason the Cavs got to the Finals that year was because the East sucked, the Pistons were the only team in the conference that provided any sort of challenge. And this is coming from a Cavs fan.
@@gamerzleague7658 lol. Jordan, Kareem, Magic, Duncan, Kobe, Russell, Wilt… ya mans is top 10 but nowhere near 2 and damn sure not better than Jordan .
Um no bruh man. Okc wasn't down 2-0 it was actually 1-1 heading back to Miami. Lebron was the only one on his team carrying everything on his shoulders, whereas there was a KD Russell westbrook and a James harden. I see no comparison here. Try next time bruh
@@HF11230 yeah we know but can't compare a young lebron james to a young kd James Russell to carrying the load. Why did he mention that comment about western conference because he was trying to compare which u cant
This Cavs team would not even sniff a playoffs appearance without LeBron. LeBron carried this team until he got sick of it because he had no solid, consistent teammates to back him up.
MJ had to struggle for multiple years to finally beat the Pistons eventually at the age of 28. Lebron said that he ain’t gonna do that so he stomped the Pistons in his first year against them 😂.
Yeah because a Pistons team without Ben Wallace replaced by no knees Chris Webber is definitely as great as the OG Bad Boys Pistons led by prime Isiah Thomas, Joe Dumars, Dennis Rodman and Bill Laimbeer. 😂🤣
First year against them? The Cavs lost to the Pistons in 2006. This 2007 Pistons was a depleted version of the 06 team and that 06 team was nowhere close to the 2004 and 2005 Pistons teams. Jordan went up against a Pistons team that is easily in the top10 all time list. He was the best player in all those series, but with a bad supporting cast that isn't much a player can do by himself against an all time great team,I think Lebron proved that when he played against the 2017 and 2018 Warriors.
I'm in my mid teens so I never experienced it, but wow, the energy in this era of basketball was so electric. In hindsight, the celebration at the end is a bittersweet moment because moments like it will probably never happen again.
I constantly tell people in 07 Lebron was a man alone in those finals, he didn’t have the supporting cast the spurs had 💯, the fact they he got them their tells you a lot
Bro Daniel Gibson ourscored lebron in this game bro😂😂😂😂. Daniel had like 31 pts this game. Lebrons bench carried him all the way to the finals. There was one game where donyell Marshall had 6 fucking threes made.
@@adidas71409 but melo can play in his 2nd season and help 2005 playoffs/finals run. Detroit was in the east conference finals from 2006 to 2008 melo could help bring Detroit to finals and win a chip
Give credit to Daniel Gibson for this game for scoring 31 points on .778% FG while LeBron scored 20 points on .273% FG...People love to use the narrative that he carried this team to the Finals but forget his team were the 2nd seed in the East with top 4 defense as a team in the league. The Cavs were favored to go to the Eastern Conference Finals in 2007 and then the Pistons choked in the ECF and Daniel Gibson was able to help close the series in 6 with his 31 points on great efficiency.
@Cull Obsidian Stop lol. Give credit where it's due. That's all I'm saying. Everybody on the Cavs had terrible efficiency in Game 6 except Gibson and Ilgauskas. Had Gibson not played well, this Game 6 would've looked a whole lot different... 👀
@@fusionn4316 If Gibson wasn't hitting his shots, lebron would have just been more aggressive then. That's what he did the whole series. Props to Gibson though
@Cull Obsidian they weren`t bums lol,. good decent role players and the cavs had the best defense in the nba that season so stop overrating that run and considering the fact how bad the east was back then. they weren`t bad as fans claim
LeBron's real game this series was game 5 on the road. This game LeBron had 20 points, but only 3 field goals. The other 14 points where free throws. They guarded him pretty well and the Cavs won mostly because of Daniel Gibson.
Even tho this was very impressive I kinda wish the cavs would’ve lost this series, it made Lebron believe that the cavs front office would figure it out to put the right team around him, he then wasted another three years hoping for it to happen and nothing coming from it
@@ianwilson4483 You hating bro. Lebron is a selfless player, averaging many assists per night. He asks his mates where they want the ball, at what speed and what is comfortable for them. He starts game by distributing the ball. If Lebron is like Jordan or Kobe, who shoot first, he will be averaging 40 every night. If you don't know basketball, just keep your opinion to yourself
@@jamanwashington6426It’s not hate. You’re saying he was by himself and he wasn’t. Stop being disrespectful to LeBron’s teammates. Basketball is a team sport.
@@ianwilson4483 we know it's a team sport but there is also the driving forces on teams on how they got there. You are hating because you one of them by discrediting lebron james so u ain't fooling me. Check the stats the number don't lie. Also if you seen this game "during that time, " they literally double and triple team lebeon james and took a chance on whoever shoot. U want to talk about disrespect, detriot disrespect the whole cavilers roster accept lebron 😆 🤣
For me, it was 2018. Although they got swept by Warriors but the Cavs 2018 playoff run is unbelievable and that was LeBron's unstoppable beast year and only that year. The birth of LeBronto and that Cavs vs. Celtics ECF series, that's freaking insane. I think they had a chance to win it all if Hill didn't missed that free throw, JR smith knew the time, or if Ty-Lue called timeout. But hey, atleast we've seen his highest point of his career even tho he had many loss in Finals but his dominance throughout this past decade is insane for me as an NBA fan.
That's kinda expected, against the experienced team like Spurs will literally can ease through this Cavs team but at least it didn't stopped LeBron and he keeps moving and moving.
This is where all the haters right now is once a fan boy until he left and join heat then the haters came up and the rest is history. newbie haters doesnt know where the origin of haters come from
Yeah he played the game of his life for sure...but that is only because pistons were playing 5 on Bron...off every ball screen 3 pistons are there to bulid a wall They won off Lebrons iq
Why was the Cavs' run improbable? They had the best player on the planet. Is it because it wasn't the Cavs' turn yet in this farce of a league that is clearly fixed?
@@ianwilson4483😂😂 tell em again they make it seem like lebron carried bums the whole year while having a top 4 defense in the league make it make sense
