The Internet's Sports News Hub - fourleagues.com The First Take crew agrees that LeBron needs to to win 7 straight titles to be able to challenge Michael Jordan as the best NBA player of all time.
+Alexander Añover yeah but because he retired and that didn't happen you can't use that to help his case, it's like if kobe and shaq never split up they would have 6 straight, didn't happen
7 overall i think...99, if they stayed together, shortened season, they would have won easily. and maybe if he hasnt been playing baseball...8 straight i dont believe...but 7 overall easily!
What people continue to fail to understand, even those who have achieved great success, is that success is not measured by one's individual accomplishments, but by the adversities which they had to overcome to get there.
Correct. And jumping ship to team up with other greats to form a super team is definitely NOT overcoming adversities. Not to mention the fact after he did he STILL LOST. Jordan stayed with the Bulls and brought them 6 titles. LeBron only gave the Cav's 1. He couldn't even 3peat with the Miami Heatles...
Why do you have to look at LeBron from a certain perspective? Look at each of their careers entirely, MJ clearly wins. Never been to a game 7, never lost in the finals. Speaks for itself.
@@012345678925064Playing against the champions or the runner-up. LeBron didn't even make the playoffs his first two seasons. And the only times he made the finals he had either a superteam or a very weak conference.
If MJ hadnt retire...He could have won 8 straight nba championship, finals mvp, maybe two more regular season mvps and also be the nba all time leading scorer...Yikesssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss
shamier smith beat the pistons in '91 when they were still very good. Did you forget Barkley Suns', Drexler's blazers, ewing knicks, shaq magic, miller's pacers, stockton/malone jazz, etc. You clearly don't know nba history
You do realize that the recent eras are way more athletic than the old ones....so no matter what you think about a player his opponents are faster stronger and give you way less time to react than some decades ago so take jordan today and he wouldnt get 6 rings for sure or get lebron with a time machine in that era and he would feel that the players move in slow motion etc etc etc....of course all that are hypothetical and ll never happen but it goes to show that you simply cant compare eras....
The fact that they thought 7 or even 5 straight championships was plausible for lebron is hilarious. Jordan's better in people's eyes because of his legacy, not because of his actual talent. Jordan is better than lebron, but at this point there is no way lebron can surpass Jordan- even if lebron wins six rings-because people act like he is the second coming of Christ.
BigBoy RaShard Stevenson At this point there is no way for him to surpass him. MJ was the greatest based on not only talent, but on killer instinct and willpower.
If Lebron won 13 straight, averaged 47 ppg and 22 rpg, they'd still say MJ is better. You can't give Bron the top because everyone loves MJ too much. Why is it that to beat two three peats, Lebron has to win 7 straight? Oh yeah because they need something impossible so that Bron can't be better than MJ
For the people that say LeBron went to play with Dwyane Wade, and Bosh, and actually blame him for doing that are fools. You make sacrifices for the game to be successful.
thank u. everyone always says that he is a fool and a coward for leaving. i dont blame him!! team was terrible, like u said, u gotta make sacrfices to be good
Kevin Lewis plus lebron didnt win a ring when he didnt have help too. plus by the way. who signed to a different team to win. not mj. not kobe. not magic. not bird. thats why he isnt top 5
Kevin Lewis 6-time NBA champion: 1991-93, 1996-98 5-time NBA Most Valuable Player: 1988, 1991, 1992, 1996, 1998[1][2] 6-time NBA Finals Most Valuable Player: 1991-93, 1996-98[3] 1-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year: 1987-88[4] 10-time scoring champion: 1987-93, 1996-98[5] 3-time steals leader: 1988, 1990, 1993 3-time minutes leader: 1987-89 14-time NBA All-Star: 1985-93, 1996-98, 2002-03[6] 3-time NBA All-Star Game MVP: 1988, 1996, 1998[7] 2-time IBM Award winner: 1985, 1989 11-time All-NBA selection: First Team: 1987-93, 1996-98[8][9] Second Team: 1985[8][9] 9-time All-Defensive selection: First Team: 1988-93, 1996-98[10][11] NBA All-Rookie selection: First Team: 1985[12][13] NBA Rookie of the Year: 1985[14] 2-time NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion: 1987, 1988[15] Runner-up in 1985
Kevin Lewis lebron is no where near career achievements compared to mj. plus the flu game, 69 point game, 4 straight 50 point game, 9 straight 40 point game, 63 points in the playoffs. seriously wat did lebron do that topped mj. plus mj retired when he was in his prime. PRIME. EASILY COULD HAVE GOTTEN 8 RINGS
He can't do it...but no shame in that. MJ is just too good, too strong. 6 Rings from 6 Finals...that's nearly unbeatable...and there may never ever be another... Maybe he could have done it if he stayed at Miami, but that would be tainted as he joined Wade and Bosh in a ready made team.
Lebron can win 10 straight but there will always be that he could only win while surrounded by superstars. It's funny when people say Kobe won his first 3 because of Shaq but nobody mentions the stars around Lebron.
As an actual Heat fan as I might say, it's hard for me to say this but with Wade having his knee problems these past few seasons, Wade is no where near the player that Shaq was when he was playing with Kobe. So really, Kobe has still had quite the advantage. Shaq is the most dominate player that we have had this past decade.
first off... jordan came into the NBA when he was 22 after playing 4 years with North Carolina and Lebron came in the NBa when he was only 18 so he already had 4 more years than jordan to win championships and generate stats. Second jordan retired in 1994-1995 and most likely the bulls would have won 2 more championships if he stayed. Then he came back and two years later he lead them to a 72-10 regular season which is insane. He averaged 30.1 pts per game for his entire career and if he didnt play for the wizards at the age of 41, the average would probably be higher. jordan had players develop around (pippen and kerr) Lebron moved to miami to join with wade and bosh and still lost against dallas in 2011 (failure BTW) If he stayed with cleveland, he would have kryrie irving and dion waiters. then maybe i can compare him to MJ Jordan hasnt even been to a game 7 in the NBA finals... And If people argue that the NBA is more competitive now than in jordan's era then they should look back at all the super stars Stockton, Malone, Hakeem, Magic, Bird, Kareem(for a bit), Isiah thomas and dumars, drex, domique wilkans, charles barley, patrick ewing, timmy duncan, david robinson, little bit of KOBE, Shaq, (man thats a lot of players) Lebron has potential to be great but not yet... WAY into the future
It is never going to be just championships that makes an individual the greatest; it is the charisma, the persona, the human being, and it's for these reasons why Ali and Jordan will always be considered the greatest. People love them, they touch people on an emotional level, they inspire people with their play, their style, and their character. It's not every day that we get athletes at their skill level in the first place let alone with their depth of persona, their narcissism-which we love, and their timing. It's a losing argument for almost anyone.
In that case its unfair to anyone else because of social media. In the world today you say one thing about something you don't like and one million people who you never seen in your life hates you.
Exactly timing has a lot to do with things, but I feel if the right person comes around even social media won't have much a effect. Martin Luther King got 250,000 people to meet in one place before there was social media. If that logic were totally valid the Civil Rights movement shouldn't have happen not enough outlets to get the word out. I believe the right individual can do anything no matter the time and circumstances, but timing does have a significant effect on things.
But it is about rings. Because Lebron is bigger faster stronger a better shooter a better ball handler and a better passer so the only reasons for saying Jordan was better than Lebron would be rings
No it would be about the rings, the man, and the context of history. Jordan is by far a greater competitor and polarizing human being than the Lebron James is.
6 NBA finals appearances, 6 NBA championship rings, and 6 NBA finals mvp awards. no contest... MJ is the greatest player to ever walk on an NBA court. LeBron James shouldn't be in the conversation, but I do say this. in the future, there might be a player that lives up to the hype and may surpass jordan. hopefully we're alive to see it.
The Heat didn't have much of a team that first go-round considering that they spent over half the cap on three players. They also had to develop chemistry and all three of them had extended runs at being the sole star of their team. MJ slowly worked his way up and the Bulls made good trades and draft choices which all came together.
Isaac Lim ...IT all matters when you claim to want to be the best. You have to play the best to be the best, and play at a high level which means on your way to proving you are the best , you are accomplishing scoring titles, steal titles, and other records. Your pierce, fans, media, and people past and present agreed you are the greatest to ever play the game.
you are absolutely right!!! to break jordans greatness is to win seven straight championship and seven straight finals mvp. that's the only way to beat Jordan's legacy.
Geeezzzuz!!!! NOBODY BLAMES LEBRON FOR THE CAVS LOSING TO THE SPURS! WHAT WE DO BLAME LEBRON FOR WAS HIS HORRIFIC PERFOMANCES IN THAT SERIES! 2006-2007 Spurs vs Cavs 4 gm sweep - LBJ AVGS - 22 PPG, 6.75 APG, 7 RPG, .350% FG, .150% 3 Pnt, 7.25 FTA, .711% FT, 1 SPG, 0.5 BPG, 5.75 TOV, 23 TOV's in 6 gms, 2 PF, 42.47 MPG THAT IS HORRID!!!!!!!!!!!!
***** R u serious?? LeBron was supposed to at least do his part! LeBron was HORRID in the 07 finals along with the 2010 finals despite having his personally hand picked Super Team!
Hownya Ur an idiot, do u know that?? No LeBron did not get double teamed on every play! Besides, the Cavs still had weapons! They had All-Star Big Z, energizer bunny Anderson Varejao, knock down shooter Damon Jones, knock down shooter Daniel 'Booby' Gibson, Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Eric Snow, etc, etc! Also, do u believe LeBron is the only player to ever get double teamed?? SMFH! Like I said, ur an idiot!! LeBron stunk up the building with his horrific performance!! Plain & simple! WHAT'S LEBRON'S EXCUSE FOR BEING EVEN WORSE IN THE 2011 FINALS WITH HIS PATHETIC 17 PPG ON 42% SHOOTING & 27 TURNOVERS IN 6 GAMES, SHRINKING LIKE THE WORLD HAS NEVER SEEN, GETTING PUNKED BY A LOUD MOUTH 6TH MAN, DESPITE HAVING HIS PERSONALLY HAND PICKED SUPER-TEAM TO WHERE HE WAS SINGLE COVERED THE WHOLE FINALS????????? Again....ur an idiot!! Get LeBrons balls out yah mouth!!!!!
That cavs roster is fucking awful. some of Those people are only all stars because the east sucks dick. The spurs were 100 times better than the cavs and if you take lebron out of that team they wouldnt make the playoffs. and yeah lebron did shitty in the 2011 finals but a lot of superstars have done shitty in important games
Hownya Hey moron, nobody blames LeBron for the Cavs losing to the Spurs! What we do blame LeBron for is his personal horrific performance! LeBron was PUTRID & idiot's like u come up with ridiculous excuses for his horrific performances! U clamimed LeBron was double teamed as if he's the only superstar to ever get double teamed! The Cavs had players all around that could make shots if LeBron was constantly double teamed! All the players I mentioned had very good numbers all season! Jones & Gibson were deadly sharp shooters, Varejao was a very good rebounder & defender, Big Z was a great shooter that could make shots anywhere on the court & Larry Hughes was a decent player as well! Stop making excuses! U sound pathetic! Jordan won the 1st 3peat with only 1 all star on the Bulls roster! SMFH...
MJ had Pippen and Rodman and lebron had Allen bosh and wade, but the thing is lebron CHOSE to go with wade and bosh while pippen and rodman were just pushed into MJ's team, so sorry lebron but if you stayed in Cleveland I and many other people would acknowledge you more
It does not matter who he CHOSE because it matters what transpired, and that is that he CARRIED this team when those two were ghosts during the playoffs. I don't care if he went to a team with prime shaq, kobe, durant, and rondo, if they don't perform and he performs the way he did, Lebron deserves this nod.
Lebron is already a top 10 player in my mind. I mean who else has a better resume...besides Jordan,Bill,Kareem,Magic,Bird,Duncan,Kobe,Wilt? But to top Jordan that is near impossible...Lebron already is 2-3 in the Finals...and has been owned by the Spurs...Jordan once he won his first title owned everyone with a 6-0 Finals Record and 6 Finals MVP's
A lot of players have a resume that is just as good as lebrons, players like rick Barry jerry west, Elgin Baylor, the big o, pistol pete and even guys like hondo Havlicek, they just don't get the spotlight because they played a while ago and were well known for there fundamentals maybe with the exception of pistol pete. And I would also take Barkley or hakeem or many other 80's or 90's over lebron even tho there resumes are not as good because they were not the best of there era
liam crawford Yeah, out of those players tell me who has 4 MVP's, 2 FMVP's, a scoring title, runner up DPOY let alone having far better stats than 99% of the players.
Charlie Bju you ever looked at there stats? baylor averaged 20/20 some years, barry had lebron type numbers for most of his seasons in the nba and aba, surely you know what oscar did in terms of stats, Pistol was also putting up lebron type numbers before his body went to shit, jerry west needs no explanation, and hondo's stats dont count as he played with 5 other HoFs so they don't tell the whole story. Accolades are a hard thing to compare over eras as the game changed so much and the competition, for example alot of the great players from the 60's didnt win any title because the celtics won so many and then you had people like wilt and bill getting ten mvps between them not leaving many others for the other greats. And none of those guys could have won DPOY
liam crawford At a far great pace when you look at the per 100 numbers Lebron blows them out of the water. Fact is he has the accolades, he has/had the dominance over the league and has the godly numbers. Anyone who doesn't have him in their top 15 now at least has a serious agenda.
My thing is this. People harp on James playing "small" in 4 4th qts in the finals but those same folks will ignore that Jordan played "small" in a game vs the Jazz in the finals. Shooting like 6 for 20 or something and the bench brought them out a 20 point hole. The knife has to cut both ways if you not bias
i didnt know NBA until i was 9-10 yrs old. Michael Jordan did it for me. We had those Air Jordan shoes syndrome, those Gatorade ads and simply drink it just before/after doing sports on my school gym. I even starting to collect those Upper Deck trading cards, and it's hard to find. And there was Space Jam. I literally had to fake being sick just to watch Chicago Bulls NBA Finals. It was 8-9am here when it's live on TV. I was still in Elementary and Junior High at that time, and i'm from Indonesia. Can you see the impact Jordan did? he was bigger than basketball. :)
On a more technical level, Lebron has way less moves than MJ. Also Lebron's movement without the ball is almost null. He usually gets the ball and goes 1 vs 1 or 1 vs 3 using his body... I mean the way he plays is *very* single-sided, while MJ (and Kobe) move way better and are way more 'complex' players. Does anyone else noticed this? I might be wrong, don't know.
Losing in the finals does not make you less of a player. It seems like it's better for you to not even make the playoffs than it is to bring your team to the finals and lose.
I will say this as great as Jordan was Lebron does not need to win seven straight to top MJ all Lebron needs to do is dominate the same way Jordan did and do it for as long as he did. Jordan had 10 scoring titles, 3 steal titles, 9 all defensive teams and a defensive player of the year award. Now I am not saying he needs 10 scoring titles he just needs to dominate offensively and defensively for about 10 years.
Pacers vs. Thunder 2014 finals callin it right now, both of them are angry, both of them can play big, and the pacers ultimately win because of Danny Granger coming back and Roy Hibbert getting better every game also Lance Stephenson is very good and very deadly off the bench. The heat are getting very cocky and full of themselves, they think they are invincible when in reality without Lebron James they are just an average team they would go close to .500 every year without Lebron.
IN RESPONSE ON WHO IS THE GREATEST NBA PLAYER OF ALL TIME. MY TAKE IS YOU HAVE L E B RON , YOU GOT MAGIC YOU GOT BIRD. YOU GOT DR J AND COLBY AS WELL AS THE OTHER STARS. BUT WHAT MAKES JORDAN # 1. IS WAS HIS WILL TO WIN AT ALL COSTS ON THE COURT AS WELL AS OFF THE COURT. HIS SKILLS WILL TO WIN WILL ALWAYS LEAP OVER IN SPORTS STAR . HE IS ELVIS IN SPORTS. SO ONE ONE ONE WINNER TAKE ALL M J IS AN ALWAYS BE # 1 . HE WAS 6-o and CAN OWN WORK OUT WITH HIS PLAYERS AS WELL AS BE THE MARKET FOR THE NBA. I THINK HIS LOGO SHOULD BE REPLACED FROM JERRY WEST. HE WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST. AT 20 ,30,40 50 60 70 80 HE CAN DOMINATE COBY LEBRON AND ANY OTHER PLAYER!
First of all LeBron went to the heat to be on Dwayne wades team it's nothing compared to Jordan he made his own team Scottie pippen and Dennis Rodman went to the bulls to be on Jordan's team not like LeBron and Chris Bosch went to the heat to be on Dwayne wades team
Let's be fair, when MJ went play baseball, the Bulls were #2 seed and one game away from beating the Knicks and ultimately go on to the Finals. And when Lebron James left Cleveland?? We all know what happened... from #1 seed to dead last.
Lebron is larry bird with insane athleticism...how he contributes is how larry would if you gave him MJ's athletic ability..That's what everyone said, if Bird was a superior athlete he would have been the unquestioned greatest, b/c his skill had to be a cut above everyone else just to hang with the gazelles. MJ was not as complete as Magic,Bird, and Lebron...his defense is the only thing that kept him in the ''complete'' basketball player discussion. -Are the 90's bulls winning in 1980's? 2 rings AT BEST! -MJ didn't rebound, or pass like Magic,Larry, and Lebron. -Magic NEVER developed the jumpshot of MJ,Larry, or Lebron but his ability as a floor general made up for that.
Attention everyone!!! Jordan didn't win 6 in a row. When he came back, he lost to the Orlando Magic. Who's fault is it that he came back in it at the end? Nobody but his so don't try to use that as an excuse. Jordan only won 3 in a row, two times. Lebron went to the finals 4 times in a row, despite winning only twice.
Man are you serious, it's not even close and fair to compare those two, lebron himself knows that he ain't on this level and probably never will how u gonna run in MIA to get rings and then go back to the krib in a heart beat sayin that if you would've won with the HEAT, you would've stayed..gtf out of here...Lebron is a great one no doubt about it, but he definitely showed the real heads that knows the game that he is not a G.O.A.T candidate
Its kind of pathetic how Stephen A. Smith always uses the same excuse the "6 for 6" and the "6 finals MVPs". Its not even a good argument to claim why he's the greatest.
Basketball is a team sport, you can't win a championship on your own, look at where the Bulls went when Jordan left they still made it to the eastern conference finals, look at where the cavs when went Lebron left they went from having the best record in the leauge to the worst, you can't judge if a players better then another player because they have rings it just doesn't make any sense at all that's like saying Luke Walton is better then Lebron because he's got more rings..... People are dumb as hell
Exactly! It's not like MJ went 1v5! He tried to carry a half decent team to the playoffs and failed miserably. He's never been out of the first round without Pippen.
,meh Lebron is the greatest ever, can carry a total scrub team to greatness. Jordan was the better scorer that's about it overall Lebron is no.1 though.
+Josh Dugan it doesn't mean a thing if you don't win. LeBron at least since going to Miami has had alot handed to him in the form of playing with 2 super stars twice. Alot of people say how good the Bulls team was which is true but how much better was the team with Michael there. Credentials don't lie and LeBron resume at this point and time isn't in the same league as MJ
SILK334 Meh those Bulls team were great even without Jordan, they proved that they pushed Knicks to a game 7 and were 1 game from Conference finals....without Lebron Miami don't even make the playoffs last year so don't act like Wade/Bosh can do shit without Lebron .Don't even get me started on those Cleveland teams when Lebron left... they had close to worse record in league if not the worse every year.
He's talking about championships idiot. It's funny how you all forgot Lebron didn't even make the playoffs his first two years in the NBA. Jordan took a hapless team to the playoffs as a Rookie. He's the GOAT because he was bigger than basketball. Plain and simple.
Indiana is gonna beat them in the eastern conference finals. So he will not 3 peat. He is the biggest fan of himself, and some would say that that is all that matters at the end of the day. Personally i feel that anyone that claims they are the greatest, and they aren't Ali, i become suspicious of bullshit.
About which part? I mean it is all subjective, so my opinion is no more right or wrong than your own regarding this video. But just in terms of the eastern conference finals, I am confident in my pick.
Charles Taylor I never heard him say he was. Not to LeBrons degree. He may have said he was the best of his era, but MJ would not disrespect the greats that came before him by saying he was the best to ever play.
i agree with most of the stuff skip and stephen said in this video apart from skip said that michael is the best sportsman in Sports history as whole, not just basketball. I just think that is unfair on Muhammad Ali.
MJ would win MVP every year if he played in this era. D rose did it without a championship so rule out MVP awards... Lebron does need 7 championships but also needs to top MJs scoring record IMO
Nah everbody else stayed home & won titles Jordan, Majic, Kobe ,Duncan. Lebron strayed away & bounced around then came back home so how could Lebron even be in that conversation. He's a great player but he would have to win at least 5 titles in at least 7 finals appearances with the same team in Cleveland to be in the conversation. His championships count but he didn't win them all with the same franchise.
There's no way that Bron Bron is gonna go to New York. He just doesn't fit in with the offense. Their offense is 3's, 3's , 3's. That isn't LeBron, he's a teammate, not an isolation guy. Now with the lakers, When Kobe retires after his new contract, he will definitely make the Lakers a contender. He will attract more agents to come to LA, I just don't trust The Owners of LA. Now Cleveland is a different story. I give it a 24% chance he leaves Miami, and a 89.9% chance he goes back i Cleveland if he leaves Miami.
LeBron scores more efficiently, is a better rebounder, a better passer, he's right there with him defensively, and a better athlete. Where's the debate lol
+James Marsden How does Lebron score more efficiently when his career field goal percentage is lower ._. Jordan is a SHOOTING guard, so his job is to SHOOT and SCORE. His concerns are not rebounding and running the offense, like a point forward. They are pretty much on par with each other in terms of athleticism.
Isn't it lower by like .04 % ? Lmao, I guess you really got me there. LeBron had 2 straight seasons where he shot 56 % from the field. That's ridiculous. LeBron is a better 3 Point shooter. LeBron is a mile ahead of MJ in athleticism. He is taller, bigger, stronger, and faster. MJ does jump about 4 inches higher lol.
James Marsden Hmm... 1. Shooting 56% from the field for two seasons is great. But it also means that if his career percentage is 49%, it means he is inconsistent. Not too mention he takes most of his shots close to the rim. In the 90s the game was much more based on mid range jumpers. Yet MJ could still shoot over 50%. 2. Lebron James is a better three point shooter in an era where the long ball is practiced reverently. In the 90s it wasn't as popular. MJ probably still wouldn't be above average even with today's training though... 3. Being taller and bigger doesn't mean you are more athletic... not sure where you got that from. Yes Lebron may be stronger, but MJ is quicker and has better body control. As for a full court sprint, it's tough to say as Lebron is two inches taller which would kind of make it harder for him.
Jordan was a TERRIBLE 3 point shooter. In the early years of his career he didn't even shoot the deep ball better than 17 %. With that being said, since he couldn't shoot, the NBA moved the line 2 feet closer, just for Princess Jordan. His numbers sky rocketed from 3. Being taller means LeBron is closer to the rim. Can defend bigger players. Being bigger means they can't back him down in the post easily. Can back others down easily. LeBron has point guard speed at 6 Foot 8 250. LeBron without a doubt has a higher top speed than MJ. Jordan jumps a few inches higher, and it's possible he is quicker and more elusive. That's it.
James Marsden I realize Jordan was a bad three shooter. But the three ball wasn't practiced as much as today. I'm sure Jordan could improve at least a little if he received today's training and conditioning. As for being bigger and taller, you can't choose what height you want to be. Lebron just happened to be 2 inches taller. And Jordan with hypotonia still had a great basketball body, at 6'6" and 215 is enough for him to be quick and still take a beating. Ok, so Lebron is better in a straight sprint. I guess he is better on fastbreaks then? But basketball is not football. What really matters in basketball is body control. If you watch both Jordan and Lebron in motion, you can see Jordan is more fluid and smooth. This is extremely important in basketball as it means a player is more deadly when attacking the basket. Not to mention his ability to change direction and handle the ball much better than Lebron. Also contributes to his defensive ability. People tend to overrate Lebron's athleticism because they see speed and strength and think it is incredible for his size. But they always ignore the other aspects of athleticism. Look at Russell Westbrook and Dwyane Wade. They have no consistent jumpshot, but still manage to dominate THIS league in their primes using their explosiveness and skills. Jordan could be like them except with an excellent jumpshot. Scary.
he just needs to win 4 in a row... and he is in that conversation a little more so than kobe (i am a kobe fan btw go mamba) if he wins 4 in a row and 2 more he's there ... if he wins 4 in a row and 1 more he is close and far ahead of kobe
Skip know Jordan lost them the series to the Magic in 95 , and Jordan played terrible in the 96 finals was terrible vs Seattle go check the stats , he lost 3 straight first round series , and he played terrible in the game after the 63 points , he played terrible at home the next game had 19points and 8turnovers , I'm sorry but Jordan wasn't perfect people only judge him on his championships not his whole career
Dru Chatman He average 30.7PPG in the 96 playoffs and averaged 27.3ppg 5apg 4rpg....He came back from retirement and was out of shaped against the Magic in 95 but still averaged 31ppg in those playoffs.....and when he was playing Boston in his early years when he lost I bet you cnt name one creditable player on that roster and that Boston team might go down as the greatest team in the modern era with 4 hall of famers...so stop with the hate
no matter what u guys say, i think lebron will be the GOAT. Right now, i think he is top 5, even if he wins just 3 rings and just does what he does like he always does on the court, in my mind he will be the best, better then micheal jordan.
even if he win 7 straight,he won top mj..just by the fact he took an easy way to win a rings, teaming up with fellow all star and 2 of the top 5 in '03 draft class..just by the the word "CHOSE".lbj chose to be with 2 all stars in their prime..you cant say that about, magic, larry,mj,kobe or even durant..those guys have pride to beat fellow all star and not to team up with them..
Why is it that somebody gotta win 7 rings to be the greatest win MJ only had to win 6 to be considered that and its numerous players with more than 6 and for those who discredit Bill Russell 11 rings take this into consideration, Russell only played 13seasons he played in 12 NBA finals , he won 5NBA MVP awards , the finals MVP is named after him and he managed to run off 8straight titles while Wilt Chamberlain was in the league ,now all be it Russell had better teammates but he also beat the Lakers that has Wilt Chamberlain, jerry west , Elgin Baylor and I'm forgetting one guy who was lethal scorer. So if Jordan didn't have to win 11 or 12rings to be the greatest then lebron doesn't have to win 7
Busting Too just ignore them , those who just go off faulty media perception and biased media made thinking are irrelevant people only say Jordan the best cause what the media tells them none of them seen him play or people before him its just a story passed down thru media and people of that era alike
Kangsta CoasT its about the heart you bring in the game the challenges you face not mostly about stats jordan is better because he never ran away from a challenge he faced them lebron ran away the second time and back to cleavland bc he knew they were going to trade wiggins for love and lebron is just a atletic freak but he has no real skil he always uses his strength and handchecking is actually defense and even when dumar wasnt handchecking he played good fucking defense ball handling stayed the same its just more flashier and besides jordan actually went 30/8/8 in a season when they put him at pg bc of a injured player
Kangsta CoasT they were amazing shooters jerry west reggie ray ray dennis scott nick anderson and jordan was a good ball handler he just didnt do nothing like a crossover he didnt need to
rings dont matter for like saying someone is the greatest rings are a team thing you need a great above average team for a championship a ring is a team achievement no personal who high you rank on the assists and scoring rebounds steals blocks efficiency all that determines if the person is the greatest
Agreed.. I think they underestimating how difficult it is to keep winning year after year against the best players in the world.. 7 in a row?? GTFO.. I'll be shocked if they win again this year.. That will be 4 straight trips to the finals in a row.. That has to wear everyone out on that team.. teams win some games by a hair.. No Ray Allen shot? no title number 2.. people think things will go your way that many yrs in a row? Lebron is a beast, but I dont see him reaching 7 in row
Glad to have Lebron back where he belongs Akron/Cleveland and rapping Grandpa M has a video Hey Lebron that encouraged him to return and it worked. Go Cavs
