Thank you for this video! I am a 70 year old woman with arthritis in my hands and wrist. My husband helped me change out my handlebars and grips, he just cut off the old grips with a utility knife and doubled checked my tightening of the screws, otherwise, I could do this with your video showing me how and the links to what to buy. It took about 45 minutes to an hour to get it done. Can’t wait to give it a try, I think it will make all the difference for comfort. I took a photo of the handlebars before I took it apart, that was insurance in case I forgot where things went. Thank you again for your time and effort, I wouldn’t have tried it without your video 🙏🏻🚴♀️
Thanks. I did purchase the Handlebar and waiting for my Hand grips to arrive. Can’t wait to see how comfortable these new bars will be. I also installed a thumb throttle to eliminate my wrist pain. I love that and wish Lectric would offer an upgrade.
Just got my Lectric bike, love the bike but handle bars not good for me. Plus hand goes numb. I’m going to try this. I see your video is one year old but would love to message you if I need help. I’m 66 yr old female but I’m pretty handy! Hope I can do this! Ordering parts today!
I've run into similar problem with my Rad mini 4 and have tendonitis of both hands - looking to make this modification to my bike. This handlebar was recommended by the community and the local bike shop recommended the grips
Looks Awesome, Chris. Been on the lookout to swap and your video came at a great time. Thanks very much for all the links to parts. Great Job on the mod. Makes it easy to do oneself
@@ChrisCrossed thanks! FYI: I just rotated the original handlebars back and tried it once and seems to help. Probably switch out the handlebars next spring and see how this feels for the rest of this season.
One thing I hate about my lectric 3.0 are the original handlebars. They are directly over the front tire, I am used to at least a little rake on the front tire. This looks like a good solution.
With the XP Trike and the XPedition out what do you think Lectric could do next before possibly the 4.0? Upgrade the Lite to 2.0 or maybe make a XP Mini?
you advertise the amazon link for the handlebars and they are the wrong size mount diameter, your link was 31 not the 24 so I got the wrong handlebars. not what do I do thanks
We are in the process of putting a cruiser old-school handlebar on my new 3.0 but the wires are pretty tight. And who knew that the middle of the handlebar is the thicker type and the rest of the handlebar is thinner? So I’m getting an adapter for my cruiser handlebars so they fit in the holder because the holder is too big. And I have to get extensions for a couple of the wires because they are pulling too much. It’s a big headache, and when will Lectric realize half the people who get these bikes change the handlebars, so maybe they should just give a couple options.
I noticed on your electric E bike do you have mileage and battery life around your display is it a sticker and where may I get one it looks like it would be helpful thank you
@@ChrisCrossed I was thinking about going with David Brand New BMX Bundle but it's 170 dollars when I could just do this for 28 dollars. What do you think?
@@ChrisCrossed thank you I finally found that after calling lectric. I just couldn't find it behind the break handle. Thank for making this video. I'm loving this upgrade. Much more comfortable ride.
