Reminder this is a 300 w hub motor with a 48 volt battery. The most you're going to get out of this is 21-23 mph on level ground with no wind in your face and maybe a little at your back. If you want to go faster you're going to have to get a higher voltage battery and over volt the motor. Which involves a new controller and then you're going down the money rabbit hole. And that you'll just make the motor warmer. I'm going to get rid of this bike as soon as possible. And that overpriced pos called the XP lite 2.0, which all the bribed RU-vid celebrities are pimped by out Lectric to push in order to bait all the new naive customers... I'm definitely going to ignore. I could get a real e-bike for that same price. Plus they don't even honor their warranties if something goes wrong too many times halfway through your warranty. If they feel too much is wrong with the bike and it's not cost effective to keep helping you, they will basically tell you to kick rocks. Not the customer's fault. It's their fault but they are trying to cut down on expenses for their own lack of quality control. 😡 Personally I don't think it is worth it to do this unless maybe you want to get that 1-3 extra mph home because it is starting to rain. 😆
this is actually interesting, I had been considering the new xp lite 2, what seems to be the issue you think? I wanted to get the regualr chain version to hopefully someday install a 3 ring or brompton sproket on the rear wheel and a regualr derailler, just saw your chainring 58t upgrade video, does it improve your riding experience in general? what other folding ebike options ahve you found? I tried to find something worthwhile, but seems most bikes dont have proper support networks (at least for 1k)
