This country will never have racial harmony because the political, social, economical, cultural, and religious foundations this country was built upon never intended on it! ....Whats really sad is we ultimately still operate as a country under these auspices fully aware of its calamities!
Sublime Existence : Human prejudices are changed only in one-on-one interpersonal relationships! This active engagement is stronger than all those things you mentioned, in it's ability to effect change! This is where we learn to respect each other as equals! Government cannot do it for us! 😊
i guess we should all be celebrating our high levels of unemployment, or the ridiculous rates of incarceration, or low life expectancies of our urban male youth? It isnt enough that white folks have stopped lynching and shouting slurs; real equality will have arrived when there are no fundamental differences between the material and social experiences of the people that occupy this land. You would find being a black male difficult, unless you were native american, that is.
