Thanks for the video, Glenn! What type of bulb does the microwave use in the actual food cooking area? BTW, if your camera was set to auto exposure, the camera sensor adjusts to compensate for the brightness (or dimness) of the light source. Thus, the "eye test" using your video isn't a true gauge of brightness. A photographer's hand-held light meter would give an unbiased measure of light output - kind of like your meter for measuring the number of amps used at the various brightness settings.
I have the same microwave. You didn’t mention what the modification was that you had to do in order to get the larger LED bulbs to fit? And do you know the wattage of the original incandescent bulb that came with the unit? You had 25w and 40w, but which one came installed in the microwave?
I got the extended warranty on this unit. I have not used it yet. So far it has been good. But if you have seen my other videos I am the farthest person from professional cooking. The LED does weird light show on the medium setting to let you know boss.
