I hear ya! Nothing, I say, Nothing is ever working for me the first time. I always have some extra step that is needed. Directions never cover the alternative fix. Frustrating! I don’t feel like getting another socket another trip will have to wait. Thanks for insight !

Do you think these would work with a 12v circuit in our camper?

Not off of 12v but they should work when the camper is plugged in or running off a generator as long as it’s 120v.

On the new outlet, you put the neutral and hot wires to the top screws of each side. Does that matter?

No, I just like to put them in the same slots to keep it uniform looking. Don’t want someone to take it apart later and think it was some hack that did it the last time 😂

Top & bottom screws are bridged together with those clips anyway.
