I'm officially on your fan list Julie!! You don't fail to comment on any LZ react!! I would say I'm in love, but obviously, just an adoration that we have the same thoughts of LZ!! Blessings
I saw Zep live 2 years later in 1975, Long Beach Arena, California. Tickets were $10.50 and they played for 3 1/2 hours straight. The crowd was respectful and we all took in the amazing scene. Joints were passed around in our mellow crowd. I have seen many concerts and this one was always Number 1. There will never be another rock/blues band like them again. Rest In Peace , John Bonham. Peace & Love. Indiana waving. ( PS.. Hey Sister, don't bogart that pipe, heh, pass it around. )
Zeppelin are something else, building the foundations laid by Cream, Hendrix and the Yardbirds. Love the evolution and you are right they are 4 musicians on top of their game
Great choice Sky, you just can't go wrong with Led Zeppelin! Another great show for them is Royal Albert Hall in 1970, they play after the Brown Bomber, Led Zeppelin 2 came out and are in their early powerful best. Try What Is and What Should Never Be there, that entire concert is fire, they look ready to conquer the musical world. Looking great and pleasant as always, Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶
This is actually the song that awakened my inner metalhead, listening to my dad's records when I was 10ish - it's the first track on Led Zeppelin IV, and I was hooked and needed heavier and heavier music from then on, never looking back. It's not that Zeppelin is particularly heavy, even relative some of their contemporaries like Sabbath, but it was the first time I ever heard anything like that. Soon I was trying to stay up to watch Headbanger's Ball on MTV, anytime mom and dad weren't home lol 🤘
This show was a few days after the Nassau coliseum show in New York that I was lucky enough to attended , my brother and I got tickets walking in the in the parking to the front doors . great seats $7:50 each. lol different times..
As an ancient who still has all his vinyl collection from the 70s I agree entirely with your comments about that extra raw sound they produce. I have all the early Led Zep albums 1 to 1V and saw them several times back in the day. Awesome band. Keep going with your great reactions.
Hi .. I was at that concert way back in 1973 sitting in the 9th row orchestra at MSG WHEN I was 16 years old. I'm 66 now Led Zeppelin played close to hrs that nite. Just keep enjoying your Led Zed journey ,I'm still enjoying mine. Mike
I was there for the Saturday night show. A fellow Marine that had served in the same platoon together got 4 tickets. He called me up in Dallas and I was on my way. Took a cab to Brooklyn and met him, his, girl friend, and her cousin. Was there a week. The show was out of sight and so was Salome, her cousin. We have been married for 49 years.
Greatest rock and roll band ever!!!!! Period!!!! My favorite for sure….. Do more Zeppelin please!!!!! I’m rocking out 🎸 there with you Sky!!!!!!! Hope you’re doing well and keep kicking ass!!!!!!
The Song Remains the Same is my favorite album of all time. Give a listen to No Quarter and smoke a little more of that. I saw them in 77 when I was 15. Best group ever!
The more you remove the humanity from music the less soul it has. That’s why Zeppelin had lots of soul. Four virtuosos at the top of their game. And collectively… talk about synergy. Check out Since I’ve Been Loving You from this same concert… or anything really.
Jimmy Page was probably the most charismatic rock guitarist ever. The guy just oozed swagger and confidence. Chicks love that, which is why every dude like me who grew up listening to Zeppelin idolized Jimmy Page.
Sky!! As always another amazing review! I believe that Led Zeppelin is THE GREATEST BAND of all time! I couldn't wait to watch your review!! LOVE YOU SKY!!!❤❤
Part of Jimmy’s iconic style is the position of his guitar… he slings that Les Paul down to his knees. It’s iconic now, because of Jimmy page… look at Slash for example, a vintage sunburst Les Paul, slung down as low as possible… just like Jimmy. A classical guitar teacher would tell you it’s bad, but Jimmy knew it looked cooler, and way more sexual!
Hi Sky! Love your reaction videos! I’m the guy that told you to check out Passive by APC 😊. Led Zeppelin is my favorite band of all time! I was 13 when I first heard this song. It was my introduction to hard rock! With that killer guitar riff! John Paul Jones wrote that legendary riff! I was too young to go see Led Zeppelin in 1973. I mean I would enjoyed it but no way my parents would let me go at 12 😅. Love you Sky! Keep on posting!
Whatever you’re smoking, pass it over here babe! I saw Zep live in 1971 and it remains the single loudest thing I have heard in my 68 years alive. GOATS. When I finish building my time travel machine, I’ll take you back there. No charge ( or strings)!
See this is the only reason why I want a time machine! To experience all the bands I love and to see them live in there prime!!!!! And to explore the world and just how different ppl were 🤘🎸🔥🥰
As a zeppelin fan you'd live "Heart tribute to zeppelin, stairway to heaven. They play it in front of John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Robert plant. Plant has years in his eyes. They do an amazing job the of it, and the Obama's are there. Well worth you checking out. ✌️♥️🇬🇧

Some trivia Sky. JPJ is using a pick on this song probably why you can hear it cut through the mix. He used a pick on some other songs also. This performance was from MSG in 1973. Also used in the movie The Song Remains the Same. Footage from the movie was lost and some songs the band had to play again on a soundstage with no audience. MSG performance was over 3 days. Jimmy Page took what he felt was the best bits from the 3 days. There are bootleg recording on RU-vid from this concert. It sounds so raw and full of energy!
Always a good day when you put out a new video. I’m not the biggest Zeppelin fan but I can’t deny their skill. Thank you Sky 🤘P.S. Are you still learning your guitar?
Good point on old vinyl. New vinyls, recorded using digital studios sound like bad cds. It's disappointing when you drop the stylus and think, is that it?
