Nothing better than seeing someone who never heard "Dazed and Confused" completely have their mind blown after hearing it for the first time. Next to the Beatles, Led Zeppelin have the most amazing body of work.
I can't agree more. I love the Beatles, I love Purple, AC/DC...but for musicianship, songs and delivery and power...POWER....I just think Zeppelin beat them all
I’ve been enjoying your reactions to Led Zeppelin, and I agree- Robert Plant and Jimi were both the definition of cool. The thing that separates them from others isn’t only their incomparable talent- they didn’t just sing or “perform“ their music, they are like a vehicle which allows their music to go “through” them.
@@abracadabra3033 yes. They had it. They were so on top of their game for a decade+, and certainly were a huge step above the rest. In a different stratosphere, to say the least. I love your reactions.. you really enjoy the music. So cool...TRUST ME... GO DOWN THIS RABBIT HOLE...ITS DEEP AND HAS MANY, MANY TUNNELS. THERE IS SO,SO MUCH WAITING FIR YOU. is there a chance that you could provide me a direct email or something? I want to be a guide and send you some MUST SEE links. There is so much live stuff that you need to review and react to. I'm so excited for you, man. Bless you dude.... ☮️
There is an interview in 1970 with Robert Plant and Jimmy Page being asked about the death of Jimi Hendrix which had accrued that day. Both Page and Plant were big fans of Jimi Hendrix. Still widely regarded as the best guitarist ever. Side note. Back when they were still kids the members of Zeppelin were deeply influenced by all the great blues players here in America. To me Zeppelin were the blues on steroids. There has not been a single band that has come close to them as far as influence goes they are the real deal
Led Zeppelin is the definition of cool. Welcome to the club. Keep listening to them. They probably have 50 or more songs that you could react to. Hell, every song by them is worth a reaction in my book.
There is a live version of this that is THIRTY yes 30 minutes long lmao. ( 3 hour concert for 1 band btw ) They basically start this song, and lose themselves into a jam... And after 30 mins are like.. Okay... Lets do the next song. Its... mind blowing. True artists. I AM SO GLAD YOUR IN THIS RABBIT HOLE with the rest of us ":D
@@porflepopnecker4376 the sweetness of all their live performances is in the improve and medley. You really see how insanely creative they were. The depth of sound, the rythem section ... The solos... It's just a whole different beast. But yes, for sharpness and studio Sound, sure your statement isn't wrong by any means.
Nice reaction there my friend,I appreciate you going back in time to appreciate their greatness. Definitely the best band ever. You should check out In My Time Of Dying by Led Zeppelin. Stay safe out there my G, you've earned yourself a new subscriber! ;)
It's 2020, but better late than never. First listened in '69, age 14. It may be the greatest Zeppelin song. Page's solo is devastating. ETA: such a pleasure seeing you enjoy this so much. Agreed: Jimi and Jimmy!!
From Led Zeppelins first album. I remember buying it when it came out.. l was a 12 year old kid. Blew my mind the first time l heard it! Robert Plants voice! Jimmy Pages phenomenal guitar! John Paul Jones killer bass! John Bonhams Stunning drumming! AMAZING! I grew up with Led Zeppelin. Zeppelin and RUSH two of major joys musically throughout my life. ♥️♥️🇨🇦🎼🎶🎵
Great reaction. You nailed it when you said that you would’ve loved to see Jimi Hendrix and Jimmy Page play together, because they’re generally considered to be the two greatest guitarists in history of rock. Both of them took the guitar to about as far as it could go as musical instrument. But Led Zeppelin wasn’t just Jimmy Page. All the members of the band were in the top 3 in their position in rock history. John Bonham is generally considered the best drummer in rock history, John Paul Jones is considered one of the top 2 or 3 bassists in history and Robert Plant one of the top vocalists in rock history. Basically an all star team of rock stars. For me, they’re the greatest rock band ever, and there will never be another band like them, ever.
You won me over Ab. I subscribed to you. It’s nice to see someone actually listen to this music and respect it for what it really was. Creative, innovative, talent driven sonic sound that is truly music to the ears. Some of us that grew up on this stuff and took it for granted that there was so much of it around but it’s good to see that it wasn’t just noise and it’s people like you that reinforces what we always knew. Keep it up bruh.
I am glad you enjoyed this song. Best rock band of all time!! Love watching your reaction to Led Zeppelin. The British Blues! Enjoy the rabbit hole! Peace!!🙏
I admit it. I couldn't stop smiling during this whole reaction. 😆 And every time you grabbed the armrests I kept thinking you were on a rollercoaster 👍
Since u are digging this tune so hard I gotta share this with you: Back in 94 I was 14 years old and sat down one day to watch Mtv and they had a "Led Zeppelin weekend". Up until that point I had only listened to pop music and never heard Led Zep. A live video to Dazed and confused came on and a beast was awoken in my soul! The power of it hit me on a whole new level and sent me into this new musical universe. In 95 Page and Plant went on a reunion tour and came to my city Stockholm. Of course I was the most fanatical fan of all, securing a spot foremost to the stage, literally having them right in front of me. And it all started with this song. Loved your reaction video!
It’s so awesome watching people’s reactions to music that was around when i was 16, i was blessed to see Led Zeppelin in concert in Vancouver ( 1975 ) and about a month later i saw Pink Floyd, of course all the best songs were never played on the radio because they were to long, FM radio did play the longer songs..so again i am loving people’s reactions, especially Pink Floyd
I enjoy your reactions. I’m in my seventies, living at the foot of Africa, and enjoy seeing young people enjoying the music I grew up with. There are so many suggestions I’d like to make, but what I would really like to see is your reaction to a hot band playing before what must be the greatest rock audience in the world, the audience in La Plata stadium in Argentina. Watch AC/DC do Thunderstruck at La Plata. Your reaction would really interest me. Thank you for your videos.
Something crazy happened when poor British boys growing up in the fifties heard American rock and roll. They basically exploded creatively in the sixties. The peak probably came with Led Zeppelin.
It's so much fun seeing younger music lovers like your self enjoy the music of the past I was very lucky to have good music to listen to and even better for cruising around with your hot rod car and your best girl going from town to town on a Saturday night hanging out with you bud checking out each other's cars just listening to great great music enjoy😎👍🏼🙏🏻🇺🇸
Thats what i truly love about the artform of music , its like no matter how long ago , its like finding buried treasure , and take you back and put you in a time period , and thank you
Led will always be on another planet! Love to see other cultures experience what we grew up with not knowing it existed...its like them discovering an ancient book hidden in the back of a library 🔥🕉️👁️🕉️🔥
One of the great things I learned from Led Zeppelin as a young kid, that I noticed and appreciated from the great rock bands and all really great music really, pick your genre, is that the really good and great ones feed and play off of each other. Like jazz. Everyone reacts off of each other to create great musical art. Zep, for me showed me that. It's what made them so great and helped me learn what great music was as a kid. Like you said "musician magicians"
Their is a reason they were referred to as The Hammer of the Gods! Try Black Dog, Heart Breaker, The Lemon Song, Rock and Roll. It never ends with THE greatest band ever..
No auto tune man. That is just raw talent. Like The Beatles there chemistry was Devine. The 60's and the 1970's was magical for rock music. You have barely touched the tip of the ice burg with Led Zepplin and classic rock. This old hippie saw Led Zepplin when I was 16 in 1970. There were amazing and yes being female Lord have Mercy I could not take my eyes off Robert Plant! LOL ✌🌻
The singer and drummer were 20 years old when they did this! Also that wierd sound in the middle is Jimmy playing electric guitar using a cello bow haha. His live bow solos are the stuff of legend
Their secret was that they took the essential elements of blues and added there own brilliant musicianship. The fact is that they studied the early Afro-American blues style, itself an unselfconscious emotional appeal to one's empathy for the human condition - oppression. They always showed respect for the blues roots by never churning out blues songs as easily as they could have (like Status Quo themselves legendary ) Rather, their change ups elevated the genre without losing or hiding the original musical inspiration.
Yo, you must check out the song, " Since I've been loving you" , by Led Zeppelin, Live at Madison Square Garden, 1973. It's a performance for the ages ! 😎
Yes! Very impressive. I'm lucky I got to be there as all their albums were released. Never knew what was coming. You would be blown away if you started with their first album and listened to all the songs and all the records in order!
I'm 67 yo white guy who grew up in L.A. and listened to this when it was new. Saw them twice. The fact that a 40ish black guy can now appreciate that music is nothing short of beautiful.
Knew you'd like this one! Great reaction. If you want your mind blown by another great guitarist, listen to (and watch) Stevie Ray Vaughan. He covers Little Wing and Voodoo Child Slight Return by Hendrix among other songs.
If you can not react to the live version please tell me you watched it just for yourself. the entire live show is here on youtube broken down by each song. One of the greatest concerts of all time
I suspect your watching the 1969 live version as the studio plays? Not a bad version. If you watch the 1973 version from Madison Square Garden that is 28 minutes long and that one is epic. Sadly, Jimmy Hendrix died just as Zeppelin was starting to take off. Hendrix most likely had heard of Jimmy Page from him being a studio virtuoso but Page I don't think had the fame yet for Hendrix to want to play with him..
I’m definitely going to check it , I’m still blown away , and thank you for suggesting it , because I’m on a quest for the greatest of artist and Their best performances , even so Him and Jimi would have been dynamic
Jimmy Page says he once met Hendrix at a club in England but Hendrix was out of it and was not in a good way. By the time Hendrix died in September 1970, Zeppelin was the biggest band in the world, he surely knew about them and Jimmy Page. His thoughts on them were never recorded from a reliable source.
Thanks for the reaction. At the time this was filmed, they were all in their early to mid 20's. Guitarist Jimmy Page was given the idea for using a bow by talking with a violinist from the London Philharmonic Orchestra during the time he spent as a session musician. They played a variety of styles such as folk, acoustic, a bit of funk, rock, ethereal, ballads, and if course blues. Every song is dynamic and will take you on a trip.
You just started down the rabbit hole of Led Zeppelin, it’s a long hole and an awesome one, enjoy the ride you’ve only just begun, you haven’t seen nothing yet
Well, you’ve opened a door to a great band. One of the best of the late 60’s /70’s. Black Sabbath another giant of rock would be another band to check out. They were from the same general area of the UK and there was a legendary jam session of members of both bands that is circulating: Keep it up.
You should check out, "Since I've Been Loving You" live at Madison Square Garden in 1973. One of the greatest live performances of all-time! Link below. I think you'll love it! :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_ZiN_NqT-Us.html
Great reaction.. enjoying the ride.. try The Lemon Song... You're going to love it.. and make sure you put on your seatbelt for Achilles Last Stand.. enjoy the ride...
You act just like I did when I first heard their music. And this was like 50 years ago. I'm a viejito (old man) now, 63 in June but I still like listening to rock and roll, R & B, Funk, Blues, Cumbias & Ranchero Mariachis Etc. My favorite part of this song is "soul of a woman was created below". I could think of a few women whose Soul was created below.!
It's such a pleasure to see you discover and truly appreciate Led Zeppelin. Whenever you get ready to see and hear what the drummer John Bonham brings to the table, I suggest "Moby Dick" Live at Royal Albert Hall ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-r9-42mu1D9Y.html Fifteen minutes of Bonzo showing why he was the G.O.A.T.
Blows your mind? I saw them at the Atlanta Pop Festival 1969 and Jimmy Page was using the violin bow on his guitar and making all that insane guitar noise. Try that on 300 mics of acid. Quite an experience, And yeah, he and Jimi were THE MEN
I've been through your list of videos and I don't think you've done the late great Stevie Ray Vaughan. You love Hendrix, so watch SRV cover Voodoo Chile (Live in Texas) or Texas Flood (Live in El Macambo)
Abra, if your in the 303, the first concert Zep ever played in the U.S, in Denver 69. Uriah Heep try to talk Barry Fey into letting them go on, Fey wouldn't budge. Uriah Heep finally said, okay then take it out of our end. Zep played, the greatness started. Sure you figured it, they knocked everyone out, including Fey. Late 60's were crazy!
Great reaction brother and iam glad you are getting into the rabbit hole of the mighty Led Zeppelin! I got to see them in 1973 in MSG and was lucky enough to hang out with Jimmy Page the guitarist a few times because iam friends with his girlfriend...greatest band ever! Do Since I've Been Loving You brother
your reaction to Stairway To Heaven was great. You know about the Kennedy Center Honors that had Heart playing it with full orchestra and choir to honor Led Zep. You've probably discovered it by now but if not, you GOTTA!
Lol on the contract with satan. I’ve always said no mere mortals could have created the song Kashmir. Not to take credit away from the guys, but that song was channelled from some otherworldly place. “With no provision but an open face” love the lyrics. It’s so fun to see another new fan so totally appreciate my fave band. I got to see them on their last US tour.. I wrecked my mother’s car on the way to the venue, still went, called her from inside and told her I’d see her after the show. Thanks for bringing them back to peoples’ consciousness. BTW, Robert has a podcast called Digging deep with Robert Plant, if you’re interested. He hasn’t posted anything since December, but it’s fun to hear him discuss his and LZ’s music.
If you want to hear the craziest version of this song react to the 07 remastered Dazed and confused from the song remains the song movie. Yes they msde thier own movie. It'll just blow your mind. Its not the same, believe me. Please, you will see
