What’s even more mind blowing, is how incredible their debut album is, with only being together about 2 months. Tomorrow August 19,1968 was Led Zeppelin’s first rehearsal together, Plants birthday is on the 20th, Plant turned 20 on that birthday. The greatest band ever came together, & Rocked the lives of the whole world forever. Thank you once again for your reaction.
Jimmy used a Cello bow to make those "cool" sounds with his guitar. He also used it on "Dazed and Confused" from this album. Watch "Dazed and Confused, Madison Square Gardens 1973”. He does an incredible bow jam! 🤙😎
Led Zeppelin has an abundance of hits, and I’ve heard people say, ‘My favorite Led song is whichever one I’m listening to’. Gotta agree with that statement, I mean would you choose just one Led Zeppelin favorite 😍
This is Zep's greatest song, IMHO. 50 years listening to this and goosebumps every time. Put this on repeat in my brain for life and I am happy. It's my ONE desert island song. Every single member is at their absolute creative peak. You can listen to the song differently every single time, just by focusing one of the four. Each time you do, you hear something new, and what you hear is just the pinnacle. A superbly crafted and executed piece of music.
Ace every song from Led Zeppelin is epic to me. I've been listening to them since the late 70's. I still get chills when I hear them. Brings me back to the days of playing the latest album I got and playing it over and over. Because I couldn't get enough of them. The 1973 concert at Madison Square Garden is the ultimate and the movie of that is killer stuff, The Song Remains The Same. Have a good one and enjoy more ear candy and skull blowing masters at there best.
Swagger. Aurora borealis shimmer. And an unmatched shuffle beat at its peak. There are clips on RU-vid of Led Zeppelin performing this on Danish TV around the time they released the album. The footage is in black and white. Jimmy Page gets those sounds with a violin bow and some pedals. Bonham's kit barely holds together. Jones holds down the groove. Robert Plant is barely 21 years old. He's going to enjoy another birthday in a couple of days. Happy Birthday Robert Plant!
With Dazed And Confused a "real musical journey" and longtime a live standard, some with medleys and long versions, see the official 20:16 video from the Royal Albert Hall 1970. If you are interested in what LZ got out of a studio song live through improvisation, then a suggestion would be to hear one or two songs like Dazed live first. The two albums LZ II + IV, which are versatile for every mood, “don’t run away from you”. Keep having fun discovering 👍✌.
It probably will be blocked, being a bootleg, but if you want to hear the most insane Robert Plant screams ("air raid siren" type), try this song ("How Many More Times") live, Spokane '68 (at Gonzaga University). Their first recorded concert.
