High heeled boots were a fashion trend in the 1970s and even many men wore them. Of course Robert Plant wears them better than most of us guys.

Jetted from venue to venue across the United States by a converted Boeing 747 (nicknamed 'The Starship'), the Zeppelin were already on the way to becoming the biggest act of any kind on the planet. This number traditionally opened their shows (until its replacement by the longer and more anthemic 'The Song Remains the Same' - which gave it's name to this concert film) and captures them in full flow.

Electric like a hair dryer in a hot tub! Baddest man on planet! Passed Mr Hendrix in 73 and only Prince had a chance of equaling. Saw in 75 and 77. Best 2 shows I ever saw!

you need to look into fashions from the 70s. Men and women wore platform shoes. Real big back then. The souls and heels were at least 2 or more inches high. Bell bottoms were huge back then. By 1975 the bell bottoms got really big on the bottom. In the early to 76/77 men wore smaller cut open shirts. Young men and such. Designs and colors were pretty loud if you were not wearing straight up jeans and it was for both men and women. So, no none of them were wearing women's clothes. They would die first. This was just the fashion of the day for men.

Did you notice the white objects being thrown from the crowd up onto the stage? That was the ladies throwing their panties on stage. LOL They said after that concert they could have started a well stocked lingerie store.
