Kel's First Reaction to Led Zeppelin's song "Thank You" from Led Zeppelin II (Rich's favorite Zep album). Enjoy! Much Love, Kel-n-Rich Song Requests: www.knr.wtf Facebook: Richard Gafter Boca Raton Email: kelnRichG@Gmail.com
This was me and my wifes wedding song she died four years later , she's been gone 12 years come July, on the 10th anniversary of her death I had a memorial bench made for her with a granite etched plate with the first lines from mighty zeps ten years gone. Then as it was and then again it will be, and though the course may change sometimes, rivers always reach the sea, love yea jo, I know I'll see you again xxxx
This is one of Led Zeppelin’s hidden gems. I never listened to this song enough back in the day, but now I have a renewed appreciation of this beautifully simple song. Wonderful.
It raining outside side so of course my allergies kicked up into overdrive for some reason while I watching this amazing song cause the same reaction my wife had the first time I played it for her!
Greatest song of all time. It's been 50 years now. Safe to say there will be no others to compare to Led Zeppelin. Thank you guys so much for this one.
Ya got the best drummer, the best guitarist, one of the best bass guitarist, and of course Plants unique voice. All which makes the best songs in rock history
Hi! So I am 49 and just heard The Rain Song for the first time last week! I scored a ton of old cassette tapes and popped in Led Zep 4 and too my surprise the tape was in the wrong case and was Zep 4 mixed with houses of the holy. I guess I have never heard that whole album. Beautiful! My new favorite song!
one of the greatest rock love song written...a song of endless love...also played at weddings and anytime you want to be alone with that special person Thank You for your reaction Rich & Kel
Rich, you just made my day. It was awesome seeing you wear the shirt I sent you. Glad to see it fits. One of the many discussions I've had in the past about this particular Led Zeppelin image was whether it was Icarus or a fallen angel. I've heard people argue both sides. I just thought it was a cool shirt. Just to let others know, I found it when my family was vacationing in Morro Bay, CA about 20 years ago. I found it in a sales rack of Hawaiian shirts and I had to buy it. It was the shirt that I wore to all the concerts I went to from 2001 to 2010. Because of job and family that was only one or two shows a year. My concert going days are over so I figured I'd send it to someone I know would appreciate it. I also sent it as a thank you for the help Kel gave my daughter. You folks rock.
hey guys there is an old saying ( there's nothing new under the sun) but i guess there is. i am 74 and in all my years i have never heard anyone say they were tired of hearing Led Zeppelin. hey guys its your channel and i believe its in good hands, but hey you can't please everyone.💚
Had 4 older brothers, grew up hearing Zep through their bedroom doors. Like anything that familiar it get's taken for granted, seeing someone react as they hear a Zeppelin song for the first time is always fun.
I was taught to play this song on the guitar 1000 years ago.My sister from Ohio was recently visiting (right here in Boca) for her 60th b-day and I played it for her.....she almost wept as she loves the song and didn't realize I could actually play guitar (I don't advertise it).You are both wonderful to share time with and I "thank you" for what you do!
I remember when this came out in 69. This too was and still is my favorite album. Even my wife of 43 years loves this too. Great music that stands the test of time. 🎸🎸🎸👍🎶🎶🎵
Bless you. I only realised Led Zeppelin really existed last year in terms of the depth and scope and sheer talent - I'm with Kel, and it's fantastic ...
Aw man... Thank You is a song that will always be really close to my heart. It was my mom and dad's song, so I heard it pretty often growing up. We lost him to cancer this time last year and we played it loud at his funeral. Led Zeppelin, and this song in particular will always remind me of him, so thanks for this. I needed it today.
My wife and I were high school sweethearts and this was/is "our" song." The lyrics perfectly expressed our love for one another better than either of us could in words. We've been together 33 yrs now. Raised 2 daughters, enjoying a 2yr old Grandson and have a Granddaughter due in a few weeks."Her hand in mine we've walked the miles" for sure. This song still has the same impact after all these years. Also, play all the Zep you want. How anyone could complain about you whilst you introduce Kel to arguably the worlds greatest Rock band of all time. And when dealing with that caliber an influence you must delve deep into their catalog to fully experience and appreciate the artist. So play on! Love the shirt too BTW!
This song is one of the ones that completely catches you off-guard, because you're so used to the power in Robert's voice, that you don't expect the more tender side...
Dude, the way your wife looks at you during these reactions is golden, like she is falling even deeper in love with you! I'm sure you do but hope you appreciate what a special thing the two of you have. I love watching her being introduced to good music. Keep it up! P.S. If you get a chance, check out Lizz Wright's cover of "Thank You". It's fantastic!
I think Kel made a soulful connection with this song. The way she looked at Rich, her face said a lot. I think she willalways want to sing this song to you, Rich, from her heart!!
A song I heard often enough because my late husband would turn it up when it came on the radio. One of the best love songs ever! Especially in the rock genre
Anyone that gets tired of Zeppelin is not a Rocker I was 15 when Zep 2 came out I was into the Beatles,Hendrix, CCR but the came Zeppelin whit them I fell in love with The Blue's,Rock and all forms of music God bless them.Rock and Roll FOREVER!!!!!
I came here to watch a Led Zeppelin reaction video only to find myself watching two people who share one of the strongest bonds of love I've ever seen.
Thank god I was in school when Zeppelin was in their prime. Nothing beat them for nights at the beach, parties at the lake, hanging with my friends in our cars and all those young loves. God I miss the 70's. Thanks for the reaction from both of you, you're beautiful people!
I can appreciate you wanting to share your love of the Zeppelin catalog with your love! Love this song man, loved her reaction-Good for you man, RockOn🤘😎
I played this song for my wife at our wedding. She had never known the lyrics. Chris Cornell plays/sings this song beautifully in many live recordings. I highly recommend finding and listening.
To Kel and all the other first-timers; We have sometimes silently patiently proudly but certainty held on to what we have known to be treasure. Watching all of you take pause to listen and enjoy brings profound peace that you now have some understanding of the truth of our soul. These artists have wholly born their souls to us and we have been waiting for anyone to give enough of their attention that these pearls would not be trodden under foot. They are yours now, it has been our privilege to keep them these 40 odd years. Thank you
the four Zep debut albums were from another galaxy ... no band or no singer can do that ! if you say Zep were the best band ever ❤ is just no enough for the genuis of these incredible and legendary four fantastic british musicians ... R.l.P Bonzo
Zep never grows old or tired. Still brilliant as the day I 1st heard it back in the 70's. The Song Remains the Same / The the Rain song 1973 MSG always gets me
The end of the song was lost The ending moment of this song when the music slowly starts to fade, and when you think the song is over, it slowly reappears for the big climax, it's a symbolic representation of eternal love and mountaiins crumbling to the sea to re-emerge in the end despite adversity.
My husband chose this song as our first dance at our wedding, I'd never heard it before and he made me feel so special, so so loved, thank you for playing this
Thank you for playing a song that i havn't heard in awhile...After hearing it, sitting here and actually taking time to feel the song in a different way, it brought goose bumps almost the whole way through the song..Sure i have heard it many many times but never took time like you did here playing this for Kel and feeling the song...I am with her and her saying how can anyone ever says anything bad about Zepplin...
I remember proudly putting Led Zep II on the turntable back in 1969 and played Whole Lotta love for my late Aunt Ruth. I anxiously waited for her reaction. She said “ oh that’s nice” . She was trying so hard not to hurt my feelings ....
The Zep is my most favorite band ever !! OMG !! I remember as a kid those comments about that kind of music. Hilarious !! My dad was a hippie and now that I'm turning 60 and ever since he has passed, I have listened over and over. I grew up on it but was never into it like I am now. There's more to my story but all I have to say to you 2 folks...Thanks for what you do ! I just love you guys.
Love you guys. I’ve listened and watched to most of your led Zeppelin stuff. I like seeing happy couples. Rich you’re a great bloke (Aussie saying)Kel your a top sort (Aussie saying) Much love you two
When I was dating my wife I told her that the women I marry will go hand in hand. I’ve dedicated this song to her & going on 23yrs I hear this song and I still think of her 💕
Thank you, thank you, thank you for playing this ! I have been requesting it for a while on other sites reacting to Led Zeppelin. I cried the first time I heard this beautifully composed song back in 1969. I cry every time I do hear it including just now.
We have been married for 45yrs. We meet in January of 1970 and started dating since April of 1970 as sophomore in high school at 15years of age. This has been our SONG since then. We will both be 66 this year. We started listening to albums, then 8tracks, then cassette, then cd' and finally streaming and You TUBE. We had the previlge of going to see and hear on 3 separate occasions. Led Zeppelin is the greatest band ever. E&J Rivera. Love what Kelly is experiencing. We got to go to so many concerts from Black Sabbath to Frank Zappa and everything in between. ✌🏻🤘🏻👍🏻🙏🏻Thank you and GOD BLESS YOU BOTH
I've been watching you two for quite a while now and I've just figured out what keeps bringing me back. I watch the two of you fall in love with each other over and over again. Not on every song, but it happens often enough that I really enjoy bearing witness. Love you guys.
Thank You was my wedding song in 1998, divorced in 2010. Still LOVE this most romantic song. Rich, you're a great tour guide and a mensch. Kel, enjoy the journey! I'm enjoying watching along!
Rich, how does it feel to have such a lovely lady to play this beautiful song to?! I, like you, have long loved thing song, and my girlfriend (now wife) didn't know this tune prior. It was something I could introduce her to. It was something I could sing to her. It was something we could both feel! The words rang true (and still do - 24 years later with that awesome woman!) Since then, there's been so much awesome music I've been able to introduce her to (and she's done some for me too) - it's a wonderful journey. Thank You!
Love you guys. Bringing back memories of an uncomplicated childhood, listening on a gramaphone to my favs “Led Zeppelin”, which records I still have after half a century. Please educate the youth with more of these like “Yes”, “Camel”, “Pink Floyd”, “Lynyrd Skynyrd”, “C.S.N. & Young” and so on and so on. I can only say: “Those were THE BEST days (aka years)!”. Both of you …….. keep up the good work. Love from the Netherlands. Ehhhhhhhh I almost forgot "Jethro Tull", "Styx", "Uriah Heep", ""E.L.O. (feelin' ashamed 😉), and many many more!
