I bought this locomotive last year in hope to restore it and after the long gruelling challenge myself and my good mate from Norton Works, Adam, we got this project finished and she now runs on the Welsh Highland Heritage Miniature Railway Porthmadog.
She was built in 1984 by the students of Ledbury school and ran on the Ledbury light railway along with 5 other locos until its closure in 1992 when Bob Washington bought her and ran her for a while until she fell into dis-repair and then she was put on static display on Porthmadog Station platform and she sat there for 10 years, most people thought it would stay there until it rotted away, but in May 2015 I purchased her off Bob Washington and took her home where she was kept warm and I started to take her apart and slowly recondition the engine, gearbox and differential, but I ran into some problems and asked around for help, which is where Adam and Aleks from Norton Works stepped in and took on the half finished restoration, they sand blasted the lot and repaired most of the welds on the chassis, also straightening out the body panels, she got closer to completion and with help from Phil Civil of Foxfield railway doing the wiring and Adam doing the plumbing and bodywork, she was completed on the 28th of May 2016 and was transported from Stoke back to her current home, the Porthmadog woodland railway, (or The WHHR miniature railway)

I spent many hours driving triumph. Happy memories. Would love to have another go after all these years.

It looks like a Carriage Chassis with one compartment left and a motor slapped onto it

Why don't You lay a track of at least 12" gauge? Same dimensions, same charges, but much more stability and comfort.

stan why is your engine a lawnmower

That's what we used back in the day. The first engine, Primus, had a lawnmower engine while the second, Electra, used a combine harvester head lift motor (IIRC) and a couple of car batteries. Triumph is after my time.
