Qestion. Say your Nano Ledger is linked to a yoroi wallet. If you lose the ledger. You would have to buy a new one. Restore it with the 24 word seed phrase. Will the Yoroi private key be on there to restore your Yoroi wallet ???
If I have an existing Yoroi wallet, can I just connect my Ledger Nano X to the existing wallet? Or would I have to create a brand new Yoroi wallet to integrate the Ledger Nano X?
They know people have been asking this question for long time, but they won't answer... been trying myself but no luck... I suppose one has to unstake ADA, make a new BRAVE or Chrome profile and intall a new Yoroi wallet there. Then, connect this new wallet to Ledger and send ADA from old Yoroi to the new one. But, would have been much simpler if one could just integrate the existing Yotoi to legder.
My Yoroi Wallet stopped connecting to my ledger wallet and I have no idea why. I can't find help anywhere online and Im worried my ADA is lost. Please help.
@@chadcervantes6066 I fixed it by first updating my Nano firmware and my ledger live app. I then migrated the coins to Goguen. I forget exactly how but there was a you tube video. It was actually easy.
for anyone having problems with the ledger not receiving any commands when trying to send ada out or when trying to stake just turn the Bluetooth off in the ledger Nano x, that worked for me and I couldn't find anything else anywhere online so I hope this helps somebody.
Thanks for the info, you're Awesome!!! I had the same problem and couldn't find troubleshooting information anywhere. I'm going to repost this info. I never would've figured this out on my own.
@EMURGO - When I confirm "export public key," nothing happens and when I go to the original Yoroi tab, there's just a perpetual spinning wheel on the "connect to ledger hardware wallet" popop
Hello I can't send anything from my wallet. Today I sent money back from binance to Yoroi and there was no problem with it. The problem arises when I try to send them back to Binance. It only shows me information "Something unexpected happened Please retry. It lokes like does not connect to the wallet the ledger is waiting for orders. Please help me
Hi there! I access my ADA at Adalite wallet through Nano ledger S hardware device option. Now let's say, my electronic device (Mac book) I use and Ledger Nano S are both stolen. How do I regain access to my ADA at Adalite wallet? I do have 24 word recovery back up sheet for my Ledger Nano S.
Hi, so sad no one answered and I hope someone will fix me if I'm wrong but as far as I know if you lose your device you should be using the 24-word seed phrase of yoroi wallet to access your yoroi wallet and the other ledger 24 words to access to ledger wallet since they are different addresses on the blockchain they have separate seed phrases. You should be able to access them without needing one and another if needed.
after I verify i presume theres no confirmation pop up etc? Because it just takes me back to the verify address page and I wasnt sure if i had done it right so I repeated the process
@@chubbyrain74 yeah, I had to download the desktop version for ledger live. Then update the firmware. Pro-tip: press and hold both buttons while looking at the spinning wheel. It will kick you back to the control panel so you can get back to the main menu. Once I updated my firmware everything works. No ADA was lost.
what if I have a yoroi wallet already, and I just want to add the Nano x? do I need to start a new profile and redownload yoroi wallet? or can i just simply add my Nano x to an existing wallet?
@@davidjackowski4336 okay so if i have my ada on yoroi already do i just make a new chrome user, install yoroi, chose ledger when i set it up.. then transfer over my ada?
@@mattyviper9570 I always send it to my mobile yoroi wallet, reinstall delete and reinstall yoroi on PC, set it up with ledger and once I've got it running, I send the ada to the hardware wallet (yoroi). I'm not familiar with multiple chrome users.
Flaky as fuck. Made at least 6 attempts to connect to Ledger Nano X. Downloaded latest extension, navigated to Ada app etc. Every time get "something went wrong." Zero confidence. No ADA for me.
I see that there is only once you need to confirm public key export in your video. I’ve just set up my ledger nano x with Yoroi and it asked me to confirm public key export twice before completing the procedure. The firmware of ledger nano x I’m using is the latest 1.3.0. I skipped the URL payment section when setting up and chose Shelley era as we should. Is it normal to confirm public key export twice?
Why am I get the following message when trying to send ADA or trying to stake ADA? "Error received from server while sending transaction" After searching this error message on Google, I discovered that many others are having the same problems using hardware wallets with Yoroi on Chrome. What is the fix to these problems?
When creating a wallet plugging my Ledger Nano X, i never got a seed phrase, how can I get my seed phrase? What if my laptop and ledger get stolen? Could i just get another Ledger, use my original recovery phrase (not yoroi's), and get back all my ADAs?
ADA is not supported by Ledger Live. I guess it used to be, but this video is not obsolete. Must use Yoroi and then link Yoroi with Ledger Live. I think this is the case. That's the way it looks to me.
im still trying to figure out the benefit of connecting them vs just having a yoroi by itself. is it more secure to have the ledger because the keys arent on the internet?
Hello. I have installed the latest version of Yoroi. Tries to connect Ledger but has no option. Only Trezor hardware wallet can be selected. I checked Yoroi in Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Always the same situation
Hy! I need help. Nano is ok, ada on, then try to connect and write:i have to be in somekind of security usb port? Or go to emurgo.io . What made i wrong?
Please Help...I use Brave browser and tried sending crypto out of Yoroi wallet, but I get a blocked message from Emurgo saying I need to install a chip to identify myself? How do i get around this? Thanks
Once you set up the wallet with the ledger, the ledger acts as the yoroi wallet seed. In other words you no longer have the 15 or 24 word seed for yoroi.
Bro you're just connecting your ledger wallet to the Yoroi UI. You're funds are protected with the seed phrase that was generated in your ledger device when you first set it up. You NEVER input your ledger seed phrase to any website asking for it, that's a scam to take all your funds. Thats the whole point of a ledger, you are NEVER supposed to input it anywhere to "load up" your wallet. Jesus you noobs are so dumb sometimes. No wonder you guys lose all your money.
What if I lose or break my laptop how can I access yoroi wallet from another computer? Is it linked with the yoroi extension on specific laptop Or do I just need my ledger in order to access my wallet from another computer?
you'll need your ledger to access your wallet on another computer. remember the part where you confirm exporting the public key from your ledger when setting up yoroi? that's how yoroi running on the new computer will know.
Hi there! I can't send ADA to Ledger live because I can't manage to find the accounts of ADA. is it possible Ledger live doesn't support ADA? Do you know if they will include it soon? Thank you!
It indeed seems like Ledger Live doesn't support ADA accounts, so you gotta use Yoroi or other lite wallet for that, using the Ledger Hardware Wallet only to keep your private key.
@@adanenrique2852 I am having the same problem, what did you do to fix it? Edit: Fixed the problem. If anyone is having the same issue, try updating the drivers on your pc.
I had the same problem. Tried multiple times on Firefox browser then tried on Chrome browser a few times. I gave up after a few attempts then another go on Chrome and for whatever reason I got the command prompt on my Ledger device. I don't know what changed because I did everything the same in all attempts. Maybe just keep giving it a go or restart your computer?
That means even though my private keys are on the Ledger I can participate in the incentivized testnet by using Yoroi Chrome extension? If true it would contradict what is written here: ucarecdn.com/ecad0dd5-3e8c-4828-ab4c-63ae7c46014e/snapshotblog3.jpg
Think I can answer my own question now: Since one just uses the Yoroi interface to access the hardware wallets ADA account it is not enough for the incentivized testnet. People actually have to transfert their funds to a wallet created with Yoroi or Daedalus. At least for the time of the snapshot. Please correct me if I'm wrong. (emurgo.io/en/blog/emurgo-yoroi-wallet-support-cardano-incentivized-testnet-balance-check)
I'm going through all the steps, however when I open my Cardano App on my Nano X it says "Waiting for Commands" and then it closes. I have not been able to connect my ledger. Any idea why this is happening?
