You know, for a minute, I’d forgotten how easily this parallels with God, Our Father, but I really like thinking about it that way better - there are too many sad songs that remind me of my parental figures already. It’s a nice song, though. And as always, beautiful harmonies!

After coming home from the hospital after being born everyone that loved me hurt me. My daddy has been Home with the Lord for one year. He used to call me every morning at 10:00. There were times that I couldn't answer, and I, too, got a message just checking in. I cried when I heard this song. A healing cry. Thank you!

WOW! We really like for King + Country. First time I heard this song. Really good. My dad has been gone since 1990. My father-in-law died on my birthday 5 years ago. Both men left us a legacy. Our son, who will be 50 this week, calls us everyday to check up on us. He lives in Missouri, we live in Ohio. What a blessing. God is good.

Oh what a great song, I just lost my dad 2 weeks ago. I called my dad every day on my way home from work, and I found myself calling him this past week like I did before! I love this song to! Just listened to it because I am wide awake thimking about my loveds ones I lost recently. So many times I want to call to tell them something and realize I can't. So I just tell God please give them this msg. I am so happy I saved over 20 msgs my mom left on my cell phone. I listen to them every week, I laugh I cry just to hear her voice, her laughter, and her saying she loves me. She is gone 3 years now but feels like yesterday. I had a birthday msg my dad left me but accidentally erased it. Would give anything to have it back. He passed 8 mos after my mom. And just recently in May my youngest sister passed, I have the sweetest msg from her I replay all the time. And lastly my niece passed away a couple weeks later, only 19. I have a butterfly video she sent me with her sweet voice. Those are my comfort go to's. I hope you can do the same. Until we see them again some glad morning. God bless you one and all.

Sitting here with tears rolling down…my husband went to be with Jesus almost 13 years ago. Songs like this remind me of how much I miss him and so do our children and grandchildren. He was a wonderful godly man and most definitely an “unsung hero “.

I love it! I lost my dad in 2021 and the last time I hugged his neck was September 16 at my mom’s funeral. A week later he was in the hospital and when we were able to see him again there was plenty of equipment in the way of a good hug your neck hug. So to see the date of the hug in the video really did feel like a special hug from above. Praising God for using your amazing talent to comfort a daughter missing her dad today. ❤️✝️

Wow!! I lost my mom 6 yrs ago this month and 6 yrs for my dad. This song hit hard but also a good reminder not to take for granted that they will be there, that anyone will be there. We never know when someone's time is up. Answer the call, say I Love You, you won't regret it. I would live to be able to call either of my parents....just to hear their voice again. Beautiful song. I am now 64 years old, I spent my 36 birthday saying goodbye to my father, this video really hit home! I gave me chills. You are all amazing ❤❤❤ my son is almost 37. His son is 12. I lost my daddy April 2nd, 2013.... and I miss him so much.... I'd love to be able to hear his voice again, to feel his hugs again.... 😢😢 this song made me miss him...3 years after he died the phone that had my last message on it from my daddy got stolen and they could have kept everything else and I wouldn't have cared as much as I did that phone.... people life is way to short and one day you're going to regret you let the small things get in the way an miss being able to say goodbye to your love one....

My dad has been gone for more than 10 years. He wasn't around much when I was growing up (workaholic), but when I was in my 20s he changed and started to check in regularly. It drove me nuts. I was so broken by his lack of presence that him wanting to regularly be in my life... I didn't handle it well. There was so much between us. After he passed, I wished I had done more. Has tried harder to have the hard conversations with him. And that regret is hard to live with. As I listened to this, the Holy Spirit prompted me to forgive myself and move on. Forgiving myself is often harder than forgiving others,lol. Thanks for this song. It reminded me of the good things about my relationship with my dad. He did try.... and that matters.❤

Wow, what an amazing song. Beautiful, great job. My dad has been gone for over 20 years and i still miss him so, but throughout the song i was thinking about my sons and wishing that they had a better relationship with their dad. Wow. This is an amazing song. Hit me in the feels. Kinda crazy I sure wish I could check in with my family. Dad 17yrs ago, Mum 2yrs ago and sister 1yr ago all to cancer. I truly thank God that each day not only can I call him father but I can check in everyday. He is my Saving Grace.

I happen to be blessed with 2 Father's. My Dad and I may fight and won't tell him I love him back but I always have. Hearing this song after ignoring it, I broke down in tears knowing I love him so much. Heard this yesterday on an all night radio program. Special guest was one half of God and Country. He told the story of how he discovered this gem and that Lee had it on hold and so on...Anyhow I listened and I had to pull over cause tears were flowing. I lost my Dad seven years ago. For the first 4yrs, I had a voice-mail from him that I cherished. When I changed carriers, I lost it. But no one will convince that me catching that song yesterday was not him telling me that he's still checking in. I love you and miss you Dad😢❤

After hearing Luke and Joel's backstory at their Little Drummer Boy concert, I saw how their family's Unwavering Faith got them through those first few years here in the US. This song's made me cry so many times. Lately I've been really missing my grandfather who died before I was born. I wish so much that I could have known him, wish he could see me, my sisters, my little nephew now. I wish I could call and talk to him. I wish I could've see he and Grammy together. I don't know how you can miss someone you've never even met so much. But it's also reminded me not to take advantage of the family I do have. So I try to make sure to call Grammy and my sister more often "just checkin' in." And try to spend more time with my sisters and parents while they're all right here.

My dad graduated to heaven in 2019. We used to call each other all the time like this. It hurts so much not to hear him anymore. There's so much I want to tell him face to face about how far I've come since then. I know one day I'll get to see him again but until then I'll just keep checking in. Thank y'all for your music.
