I love this tutorial. What a great system. Although I prefer the picture in between, with the soft grad and without the little stopper. I feel a two min exposure gives the foliage too much time to blur when wind is present. Still very informative!

Steve your B&W photos have so much emotion, you're a soul photographer...One tip I have for any neophyte B&W photogs is to shoot raw+jpg and in camera B&W mode. You capture a (colour) raw plus can see in the EVF, screen and in-camera jpg what the B&W photo/conversion will roughly look like...

Hello sir! I really enjoyed your video. I was just wondering if Lee Seven5 would just fine without any vignetting or whatnot on Sony Vario-Tessar T* FE 16-35mm F/4 lens? I learned from your website that this filter system would work with mirroless lens with up to 72 mm filter thread. But would it cause any problem in this wide angle case? Thanks.

Really interesting video from Steve. I want the 25mm lens so it was interesting that he is using it later on. Is he using a 45mm for the waterfall? Wow, the little stopper is about 6 stops and the big stopper is a 10 stop ND filter? I like the 0.6 gradual ND filter because you can't tell it has been used except that the picture is just right.

Does the seven5 micro ring work with the seven5 adaptor , sorry if that sounds confusing but I'm looking for a 67mm ring to use with my seven5 filters but can only see a micro 67mm ring

I am concidering ordering a Lee Seven5 Filer set for my Nikon D3200 and Nikon 12-24mm will the filter set fit? And allso will those guides on Big stopper and and little stopper follow if I order them as well? Thank you for great guide!

I liked your video, I watched some filter videos today but not one of it had a list of the filters names or links in the description. That would be really helpful since there are so many companies and such selling the same things. I don't know, just an idea.

Greetings from Australia. Enjoyed very much your previous video regarding “personal interpretation as opposed to recording” as well as this Lee7 vid. I worked professionally from the early 70’s onwards and during that time shot 35mm and 120mm chrome so would use polarises and graduation filters on a regular basis. But since digital technology and in particular Photoshop I don’t find any need to use filters anymore, especially graduated filters which I often use to darken down a sky to taste. I also find ‘dehaze’ very helpful. My question, do you have a reason or philosophy as to why you still use, basically an analogue system, in a digital world? Best wishes and keep up the good work and thoughtful and empathetic commentary.

i notice he's shooting at f16.. I'm sort of new to M4/3 but isn't that supposed to be a bit to small of aperture, which would cause diffraction in the photographs? i mean, please correct me if I'm wrong.. it was just something i heard.

Hi Steve, I wanted to ask you a question regarding my E-M5 MKII & Lee 100mm system. I shoot with the 12-40mm f/2.8 but I already own the 100mm system for my D750, I use soft grads and the big or little stopper. What I wanted to ask is if I use my soft grads on my 12-40mm lens will the transition be to wide and would I have to use hard grads to get the same effect as a soft on my d750? As I already own the 100mm system I really want to utilise that with my Olympus system and not have to purchase the 75mm system Thanks, Billy

question: why does he use a filter to recover all those colors, only to loose it all again in the black and white conversion???- not quite the best advertising for the 7/5 system!!

I don't mind paying out for photography gear, but the price for tis 'little' system is a rip off !!

God damn! Explain him how to use Photoshop, such a stupid waste of time combining all these crap together lol :(
