"Linda is still a human. All of us are the same." YES!!! She's still a human but why do people act like she did something horrible. First of all there was no lockdown, they wore a mask. Idk why everyone is making it a big deal, they apologized isn't that enough? But when other idols do the same thing y'all be defending them??? Woww. Hyori doesn't usually cry on shows she has shown a very strong image for the past years and you know when it's too much if she cries about it. It's really affecting her. Stop hating on her.

I think with coming back to the entertainment industry lee hyori experienced a sudden culture shock from the knetz because the 2nd gen knetz before isn't too harsh and is actually chill and laid back which is why back in the day the celebs are more free spirited unlike today where everyone is too petty and insensitive.

Except there wasn’t a mistake because karaokes were open in korea and it is not in a lockdown. They were wearing masks and proper health protocols were done by the establishments. Dramas and music shows are ongoing where there are lots of people that cannot possibly social distance. I have seen korean vlogs where there are alot of people in cafes so recreation is back to normal for them there. And in this “incident” they were just 4 people in the private room. Where is the mistake in that? Knetz and reporters just blew it out if proportion.

To a non-korean, living in a country also heavily affected by the pandemic, I think the criticism towards them is a bit ridiculous. Does it really have to go to the extent one has to leave a show or has to cry like that? How do you sing without taking your mask off? There are already a lot of hate on the internet, and people know how it affects their mental health so why do people gotta keep doing it?

Wait what? You can easily sing while wearing a mask... The whole point of wearing a mask is to limit respiratory droplet spread, so it defeats the purpose if people take off the mask while singing/talking. Idk the rules of the karaoke place they went to, but if masks were required while inside, they should've been wearing them the entire time, not just when they walked in. But they apologized and have learned so that should be the end of it

@Dee Tuitata she and yoona went to a karaoke in the midst a pandemic. Hyori noona streamed it for about 2 minutes before shutting it down. I think she was just giddy and happy because she get to be with Yoona, and made a mistake. She felt really awful about it, like we just saw in this video, since we know, she doesn't cry easily, and hate showing weakness.

Except that it wasn’t a mistake. Karaoke rooms are allowed to be opened with the SOP in place. Public can go to these places whilst adhering to the guidelines. They complied, so what exactly is the mistake?

@@lpy7555 I don't think it was ever about Hyori noona breaking the law or not. It was about her breaking their trust. Hyori noona was one of the biggest supporter of social distancing, and been telling her fans to try to stay at home and not to take necessary risk. It was never an argument if she made a mistake or not. She know she did, and she apologized while feeling awful about it. We know it was a sincere apology, because she's that kind of person. Which make me like her more because the ability to admit own mistake is one of the highest virtue.

John Avernia Precisely the point. She didn’t break the regulation hence strictly speaking, she didn’t have to apologise. Just because the public are the absolute idiots here, she had to apologise for a non-existent mistake. When there were cases where celebrities enjoyed preferential treatment such as certain idols gained entry into universities despite not fitting the requirement, the public was outraged and demanded they (celebrities) should not be treated differently from the rest. So why is it not the same here? Why must she be subjected to criticism when the rest are allowed to go? The blatant hypocrisy of these keyboard warriors.

@@lpy7555 in the U.S, the covid19 cases are rising. It'd be just like if a celeb in the U.S went out and live streamed a video out with their friends, when doctor keep advising social distancing. I love Hyori but things like this don't look good especially if they're telling others to social distance. I don't live in Korea but other celebs have gotten criticized for the same thing for example the itaewon club issue. She made a mistake but apologized and I think she feel truly bad about it.

I mean I kinda get both sides. Here in California, the cases were low so places started reopening and people were going out, 99% with face masks, but the cases are growing again and it’s getting worse so everything has to be closed again. But, I mean people were going out so you would have to blame everyone single person that went out during that 2-4ish week period. I don’t know much about what’s happening in Korea, but it seems to be better than what’s happening here since many shows are filming like this one. I see why some are hating, but more people are hating which was really weird to me. They seemed to be wearing masks, just not while singing, just like in these shows they aren’t wearing masks when they are filming the main cast. And I see with other shows they take as much precaution as they can with hand sanitizers and the crew with masks, etc. Sorry this is super long but I just have a lot to say. :P

What are you saying? Everyone including celebrities should do their part to flatten the curve and stay home. It's just that celebrities have a large platform and should set an example. People look at is as a hypocritical thing to do. Thus the huge backlash. Not to mention there's a concern of a second wave of Covid-19 in Korea. Its quite well known how K-Netz LOVEE to cancel off these Idols/Entertainer or whatever you wanna call it the moment they made a mistake. Its horrendous to see. In this case, Hyori took a big blow. Also, she's someone that is very close to Yoo Jaesuk (very well known for his good deeds and characters. The flawless National MC). So the expectation is rather high for people who's close to him to be perfect too. Its just sad to see K-Netz thinking that they have the power to punish them.

hyori is strong women, i never saw this kind of side of her before, i'm so sad that she receive a lot of hate she doesn't deserve, we all can see how stressfulllll she is from her face especially her eyes.. hope she'll be alright

This is what everyshow and and every cast should do whenever there's a "problem". Not just kick and cut their part and act like nothing happened. Every member of variety show is human, they have life, they make mistakes, as long as they know that is a mistake and sincerely apologize, they should continue doing the show.

I just watch this episode and i curious why she crying..and read comment now i know why, STAY STRONG EONNI, actually is not really her fault, many actor still filming and also not wearing mask, but they not complain about that and korea also not doin lockdown,so its ok..be strong..💕

Not just in Korea but other celebs in different places are being put down lately for minor actions. Like sheesh calm down judgemental people, the artists are human too. Hope Hyori regains her confidence and true self back!! 💕

I feel really bad for her and Yoona, because probably they got lots of hate from her face you can tell that she’s been crying even before the shoot. Honestly people should keep the same energy with the hate to that karaoke owners. If people can’t go to karaoke and bars and clubs why are they letting those places open ? Also they had dinner together so how can they wear mask while eating ? I saw the live where they where in karaoke and they both had masks, but didn’t wear it inside because it was a room only for themselves, i don’t see why they have to make a big deal out of it. I understand wearing masks is important and people should wear it, but if they are the only ones in the room it’s okay to take it off.

This is exactly why being called "Queen" or "King" or "Nation's Fairy/Hero" is pretty meaningless in South Korea. One minor unintentional mistake which does no practical/direct harms to others and even senior celebrities become the target of hate and harassment. Fans' love is just impulsive and fleeting. No one besides your family/loved ones is truly reliable in this world, sadly. Your teammates and Sang Soon got your back, Hyori-noona. Fighting!

I am sure someone will fill in the specifics, I am going off of memory as I read the article super quickly. It seemed so silly that it was even a thing...but she went out to karaoke with someone(s)...I think they weren't wearing mask. they were judged harshly for being out during this covid-19 time & being w/o mask...I can't recall how many people were or were not there...people were saying she should be fired or quit the show...which is dumb because who is going to fill in at this point. They would have to cancel or restart the whole show.
