Without the pioneering vision and leadership of Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the foundation upon which the People’s Action Party (PAP) was built might never have been established. His indomitable spirit and unwavering dedication were pivotal in shaping not only the party but also the very essence of Singapore as a nation. Under Mr. Lee Kuan Yew’s guidance, the PAP evolved into a force that was deeply attuned to the needs and aspirations of the Singaporean people. His commitment to social justice, economic progress, and national unity provided the PAP with a clear purpose and direction. Through his transformative policies, he managed to weave a sense of identity and shared purpose among the diverse population of Singapore. It’s undeniable that without the PAP’s continuous presence and leadership, Singapore’s remarkable growth story might never have unfolded. The party’s ability to adapt to changing circumstances, implement forward-thinking policies, and maintain stability has been essential in propelling Singapore onto the global stage. You guys Singaporean are so lucky to have leader like him I'm Indonesian and i'm really disgusted with weakass Democrazy that makes politicians misuse their position in my country I would say when one society lack of order and corrupted one , its unwise to be given a democrazy When i facing two choice about which a leader that i want , a leader that rules with iron fist but shows tough love because he deeply cares and the leader is clean , uncorrupt , strict , smart and visionary or the second type , the leader that doesn't way too strict , smart or visionary but corrupt and giving a guarantee of wide democrazy And i choose the leader with a tough love with qualitative dictatorship over the mediocre but the weak ass democrazy

This amazing man had the ability to understand his constituents..national and international.. Peace encourages commerce which often increases diplomacy.. and they work the other way too..😂😊😊 Plain spoken and practical idealism with healthy conservative caution. R.I.P.

a benevolent dictator, at least to most singaporeans. he might have been tough (too tough at times) but you couldn't doubt this man's sincerity and heart to uplift even the lowest levels of society.

Lky was a leader of an island nation at its infancy & created an economically successful nation with basically, an iron hand policy & silencing many of his political opponents & critics of his day. He was the product of the colonial system and groomed with a hawkish stance against the communist ideology which threatened his administration of a young nation where he wanted to establish the island under a democratic system, even though less liberal as some in the west. Singapore today, is thriving well but living in a very different geopolitical world where it needs to walk a fine line between competing nations in the region. Hopefully, it’s foreign policy & wisdom, would leave this island nation unscathed in the years ahead.!

Am surprised he didn't get a standing ovation....he was Singapores jewel!

His speeches at least teach us something about history. Nowadays I feel the national day rallies are all about giving citizens benefits only.

We were lucky he was a multi-intellect leader. He not only had an academic intellect, he also had a street-smart mentality and this allowed him to lead and deal with all situations.

现在的PAP跟以往的PAP完全不一样了,以前为国为民的精神没了,现在是为公司为老板,因他们都不是自愿有心想为国为民,参政就像打一份高薪的工作,像公司老板請他们喝茶,然后选高智商向钱看的Yes men,Yes Lady给他们一份高薪水的工作,只是想为自己可以赚很多的钱等等,只为自己着想，很多政策都没想到人民的生活,国家很多都要争第一,但一般的老百姓的生活幸福开心都没成正比开心幸福,反而很压力,变成怕输,怕死自私没人情味...以前我们一般老百姓成年了,只要找一份工作一个人工作就可以買屋子养一家人,老婆不用工作也ok可以在家看孩子,又可以有能力供养长辈,孝敬他们,让他们晚年可以过着快乐無忧無虑的生活,可以做有意义的事,如义工,真正对他们好开心对的事等等...如健身陪孫子玩...现在新加坡的生活开销也变成世界数一数二的国家,连大部份外国人来新加坡工作的都明白,新加坡只是他们过来赚钱的地方,赚够钱老了回去他们自己的国家,老了不用工作可以过着真正快乐的生活...他们都觉得一般新加坡百姓都很可憐,年轻努力的工作,老了更辛苦,有的可以成为公民他们都不要,只要永久居民就好了。新加坡老人的生活他们看在眼里也打个问号,新加坡老人的生活跟他们国家老人的生活完全不一样,年轻拼命努力长时间工作赚钱,老了还是要辛苦工作,没时间选要自己想过的生活,活着没有尊严遇到孩子没给没能力供养还要靠政府去控告孩子要扶养费。那一家人大大小小生活会有快乐吗？外劳在新加坡打工赚钱可以有能力给他们国内的家人钱,过好生活,因他们国内生活开销很底,可以让他们家人生活改变比较好,他们工作辛苦也快乐,老了回家又的还可以改变他们的命运变成有钱人。新加坡现在一般的年轻人都很压力,不像我们年轻的时候要改变命运还有可能,努力有对的方向和机会,是可以改变生活,赚多一点钱的机会比较多,可以有多点钱投资或買多几间屋子提升自己,现在一般的年轻百姓要改变很难了,只是家里有钱的人更有机会赠加财富...有钱人跟没钱人的距离也越来越大了...大家要深思,不要给眼前一点小甜头就觉得很好,要为我的下一代着想...🤝🙏🙏
