I could look at you posing for hours, you have a beautiful physique just like Arnold and Bob Paris and Tony Pearson and Gaspari.Thank you for what you do you are guy that really really loves bodybuilding and helping others and i think that is really good. You have kept your physique from your pro days when others have withered away.I got hold of an old magazine with you talking in it saying that one day your pro body will wither away but it hasn't happened yet.
Thanks Lee for the feed back. I'll go with the 12-15 set range for a month and see how it feels. I've cut way back on my time between sets and working to get a deep stretch.
Lee, it appears that your adding more and more volume over time to your recommended routines. What happened to the HIT style training using 6-8 sets per bodypart that built your own body back in your competitive days?
Hey Lou, thanks for the question, and being such a loyal fan. I had used many different training techniques over the years, depending on the goal and the time of year. HIIT is a great form of training that should always be a part of well rounded routine. What we know today, is that a well rounded workout plan incorporates many forms of training. Thanks for the question, and wish you all the best Lou.
great leg routine Lee would you split this into two workouts one for quad , then one for ham and calves as pretty high volume and leg training takes it out of you - currently I do 8 sets squats 8 sets leg press then calves and ham another day
Hey Simon, great question. Splitting up the leg workout is a great idea if you are able to get into the gym 4-5 days a week. However if you are only able to lift 3 days a week completing both quad and hamstring dominate exercises at the same time would work also. Calves can be thrown in on both days if you feel the need as long as you split up your leg days with another body part in-between. Wishing you all the best Simon!
Thank you Lee! i have a couple of doubts that i need your help on ,, 1) my coach asks me to go down completely while doing squats, is this the right way ? 2) Does doing heavy squats affect the knee in any way in the long run? I am 27 years , weigh 81 Kilos & can squat upto a 110 Kilos for 4 Reps. Please advice .. Thanks!
***** Thanks Lee! It would be of great help me out with a couple of other questions: 1) Even though i can manage to lift around 240 Pounds for Squats , I have a very weak upper body comparatively, i cannot manage to do a single pull up nor a push up ! 2) Could you please help me out with increasing my upper body strength . 3) I am currently supplementing Muscle Mass gainer from Labrada Nutrition and it has helped me gain 6 pounds in 4 weeks and i love the product, however , this has made it even the more difficult to do a pull up as im gaining weight ! . 4) Can i keep taking the Mass gainers and Lean Body throughout the year or do i need to cycle them . Your Response to these questions would be of immense help , Thanks Lee!

Hey lee how you doing!!...im a big fan of your's...im from dubai and i wish one day i can meet you ...to me you're like a legend, really......i have only two questions...what's the meaning of ''if you still can walk after a real leg workout that mean you did nothing''.....and also '' if you still look cute after you finish your workout?? Then you've wasted your time in the gym.... Memo Thanks.
Hey Memo, thank you for being a part of our RU-vid channel. The phrases you mentioned here are simply funny sayings that hold no real meaning. Both phrases reference the amount of effort we place in the gym. If you leave every gym sessions knowing you tried your best, that's all you can ever ask for. Thanks for the questions, and hope to meet you one day as well Mohamed. All the best.
Lee, thanks for all the great info. I recently turned 51, should I alter the work outs shown? A trainer at my gym says that sue to my age I need to lift 75-80% of my one rep max for 20 sets per bodypart. What is your take?
Hey Eric, thank you for the question. The best answer we can give is..... Do what you feel comfortable with. Sounds like the easy way out but it's the truth. Time under tension is something I preach to Hunter all the time. Success in the gym rarely has much to do with the weight but the manner it which we lift it. The tempo we use, along with the range of motion. 20 sets per muscle group is a great goal. The best recommendation I can give, lift until you feel the pump (ideally at least 8+ reps), control the weight and aim for perfect form each and every rep. While aiming to stay within a 5 rep range of your target goal. Hope this helps answer your question. All the best!
Thanks for the video Lee, My question is I started lifting heavier and got all the facts I needed like sleeping more eating better ect..and it worked I got stronger in all the lifts but at this point I stopped gaining strength is like I am almost getting weaker I doing that new program called power bodybuilding and do light cardio 3 times a week not more than 10 min bec if I do ill loose too much weight.
Thanks for writing in Angel, by the sounds of things, you just have to stick with the program you have. It takes years to build strength and size. Also make sure to be changing your workouts every 4-6 weeks as well as increasing the weight you are lifting. Good form and continued effort in the gym, with proper nutritional habits and sleep, and you will reach your goals, simply a matter of time. All the best Angel.
You can check out Lee's own training and nutrition guide by downloading the free App "Lean Body" to your smart phone. There you will find an entire body workout.
+Peter Scott This is a question better suited for a trainer or doctor who can ask you questions while performing various exercises. It is not as easy as a one fits all approach unfortunately. Hiring someone with a minimum of 5-10 years experience is always recommended when trying to create well rounded workout program for those who have pain through certain range of motions. Sorry we couldn't of been more help, but a local professional is by far the best route to go, all the best with your fitness goals.
Hey Herman, if a Leg Press machine is not available you could add a few more sets to the other leg exercises, such as squats or leg extensions so you are still reaching the desired total number of sets completed in one workout. Hope this helps answer your question. Thanks for dropping by the Labrada RU-vid channel.
