I always thought high reps with low weight was better because there are a lot more contractions pumping more blood through the veins against lower blood pressure than heavy weight, dilating the blood vessels over time similar to how cardio promotes more bloodflow. I am more after improving circulation than aesthetics. What kind of reps and weight, or other exercise do you think most increases bloodflow in the forearms?
Threshold intervals seem a good mix alternating 5 minutes above lactate threshold then 5 minutes below in Zone 2, similar to Norwegian 4x4. HIIT is too risky for over-training and injury unless you are already quite fit and strong.
Great Vid! Been in the industry for awhile even worked at one of your Golds gym in SA Tx. Love the tips so true i always used the suntan or sunburn analogy with my clients back when i did train. Of course being in my 50"s still hitting it appreciate you Lee - Long Time Fan
I remember all the VHS tapes I used to have in 1990s with all the bodybuilders from their era, like Mass With Class and I Want To Pump You Up both with Lee...
I use Biomechanics by Doug Brignole I don’t do any press and no bench press My delts and chess are big and never do any press. Safe your self from those exercises
You are 100% Lee, at 53 I recently did blood work and have to cut supplements, protein powder, creating and Test boost. Tests revealed a decline in kidney function compared to last year when l was not using these supplements. Going back for blood test in 3 months to see if my kidney function improves. Nothing dramatic because I am not in the danger zone but concerning enough to pay attention and test it out by doing without supplements. My advice to 50+ bodybuilders is to vett supplements by doing blood tests after taking them and then being off supplements. Health is number one.

Hello lee. What are you think channel john heart M. america heart whith hit trainning for natural lifter.? One set by exercice to failure 3 exercices by bodypart one time by week? Thak you. Bonjour de France.
Sound training advice for sure but I'd like to say that you can avoid injuries by practicing control of lifting and lowering the weights and the use of dumbbells on basic compound exercises. Leave the ego at the door and feel the muscle your trying to work. Mind muscle connection my friends.
Man Sage's parents did a good job raising him to be kind and positive, and its refreshing to hear a famous person, especially a fighter, use clean language and not cuss.
The JM Press is not named after John Meadows. ITS NAMED AFTER JM BLAKELY. Blakely was an elite powerlifter that competed only in bench press and developed this exercise to increase his bench. He trained at Westside Barbell with Dave Tate. John Meadows always great bodybuilder and trainer but I believe he learned the movement from Tate although he may have got it directly from Blakely. If you want tomup your bench Blakely is a guru.
I just wrote the same thing. Meadows trained with those guys but I don't he ever claimed to invent the JM Press. Most likely Labrada just thought JM stood for John Meadows
@@mightyquinn5135 Here is a link to JM Blakely explaining how to perform the "JM Press": ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-mTxOBkKDkzs.html . Now that is not to say that Meadows didn't have his own variation of the movement. Hunter is using more ROM than Blakey uses / describes, but the bar path and exercise otherwise looks the same. Blakey states in his video that by moving the shoulder you are able to get more ROM, but the movement should really stop when the forearm meets the bicep and the tricep is fully stretched or lengthened. I guess one could argue that Hunter is using a different variation than Blakey's original "JM Press," but that really would be splitting hairs.
