When I was kid - I'm 58 - I LOVED the 6 Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. Good to know that Lee is still kicking. Another great job, Mr. Skinner.
@@JerrySkinner1943 Jerry , Burl Ives . Western cowboy actor, singer and Folk singer..and a wonderful Grandpa in "Heidi" ..he was a very talented man.😉 .(.hint hint)
Thanks for the video. I knew Lee from a call when I was an EMT just prior to Fire and Paramedic training in the Los Angeles area. You get a call on Thanksgiving Day to respond to a fire in a beautiful subdivision. You are greeted by Lee at the front door who escorts you to the kitchen where Farrah has a turkey in the oven that caught on fire. What a smile she had. This was around 1980. My sister was always confused with looking like his wife. Southern California was a beautiful place to live back then. I got my degree in prelaw in 1980 and became an EMT as I enrolled into Law School.
Thanks for sharing such a cute story. I'm sure she was laughing about it. Must've been so interesting to see how they lived. They were such a great looking couple.
My old boss graduated high school with Lee. They were good friends. Lee likes his women young for sure. Well done Jerry, you have a future in this RU-vid video thing!
Lee Majors just got better as a person and better looking every single year! Your research and photos, along with your narration are superb!! Thank you Jerry!!
I was not aware of Lee Majors early life years . Despite all he went through , Lee became a great man . I remember my mother watch The Big Valley on TV back in the 60's and Lee as a young actor. But but as a kid, my memories of Lee Majors are from The Six Million Dollar Man TV program every Friday nights on ABC . Then in the 80's The Fall Guy .
Thank you Jerry for the documentary on the great Lee majors. One of my favorite actor. I loved Everything Lee majors played. The fall guy six million dollar man. A great actor 👍
You knew his was destined to be a great star during the Big Valley. He had the least experience, yet he seemed to outshine the other seasoned actors, imo. He was able to reveal an internal complexity in a subdued manner, which gave him a quiet intensity. His rare scenes when he explodes in anger are at once powerful and riveting. I really only watch the episodes that focus on him.
What a sad start to his life but at least he was adopted by his dads brother who took good care of him, and he did not disappoint them I loved him in six million dollar man and The big valley . Thanks Jerry ❤️❤️ from U.K.
I had no idea of his hardships in life. I still watch the Big Valley. Matter if fact the show featuring him as a Barkley was just on last week. I watched all his shows He's a great actor. Again Jerry a great documentary. Thank you for all the time you put in to bring these to life for us
Another Masterpiece Jerry thank you. I remember growing up as a young child in the sixties watching The Big Valley it was Lee Majors who always stood out to me. There was something about him that I felt was special. Having a tough childhood and finally finding out that he lost both parents I believe in my opinion, helped shape what kind of person he was. I remember seeing him in the ballad of Andy Crocker which I enjoyed. Still a fan.
Excellent presentation, Jerry! The Big Valley is such a wonderful series but not very many stars have survived to this point. I'm glad that Lee is finally happy!
Mona, i always enjoy seeing a message from you. Every time i see your dad's movies, i thank of you and know he would be so proud of you sweet heart. Jerry
I Wish more than anything in this world that Every Body in the United States would sit down with their Family members and watch the BEST MOVIE IN THE WORLD.."Stars In My Crown." This country WOULD be a different country, the very next day!..
Jerry Skinner in my humble opinion you have the perfect voice and cadence for these videos. Your research and storytelling abilities make very entertaining documentaries and you seem to pick just the right stars from yester-year to talk about. Lee Majors was probably my first television hero in "The Six Million Dollar Man." , when I was very young. I hope you continue to make these very entertaining videos. God bless and God Speed.
Mr. Jerry your work is just unbelievable. I enjoyed this so much, for Lee Majors was always one of my very faves. Another 5 stars for you Mr. Jerry. I treasure all your documentaries. Thank you so much. Sending blessings your way from Massachusetts. xoxo
That was interesting and informative. Lee Majors was on so many hit TV shows. I have thought for years it would be neat to met him and just listen to all the stories he could tell about the different shows.
I lived for the show, and had the doll, i still recall the engine block and bionic eye, and the skin on the forearm, great days great days thanks to my mother who made sure all four kids had a great Christmas 🤶
Thank you, Mr. Skinner... this was so sad and touched me deeply, it seems like no one is ever satisfied with their life after they become famous... thank you for putting so much into details, researching the background of your choice of subjects...
Another winning presentation, Jerry! It's always a great day when your name pops up in my YT notices! Amazing info on Major's life, and he's still going strong. He'll be 83 y/o next April, still married (happily, I assume), and he still looks great!
Wow.. Mr. Jerry. That was better than any book or PBS Special. You are just amazing putting these together and opening the "Skinner Curtain", for all of us to watch, listen, and hear the best few minutes, that touch each and everyone who lends an ear. Thank you Sir! I wish you and your Family a very Happy Thanksgiving Sir. Your Friend C. Lambert
Very enjoyable my friend, it was a pleasant surprise seeing you upload this Lee Major's piece! I've been a big fan of Lee's work since watching "The Big Valley" with my grandfather as a kid.
As a pubescent girl,I was sooo in love with Lee Majors. Hot hot hot, he was. I was happy that he married Farrah Faucet. She was equal in beauty to Lee. Kind of a rough early life. Maybe that gave him his depth and sweetness.
Thanks for the Video! I enjoy your commentary. Much of which is sorrowfully Sad! It is part of our World today! I am looking forward to the New World that is coming with peace and not disaster! Ron USA
Loved Lee Major he is a great actor loved everything he played in. Really love ❤️ him in six million dollar man ,and son of Barbara in Big Valley. They all worked great together. Hope he’s doing well. AMEN 🙏🙌💯
✨ This may sound insane, but, I play some of these on a loop in the background. While I'm busy with other things. Kinda of like I do with old Bob Ross painting shows. It can calm you, and educate you at the same time.✨
My father in law met Lee Majors in a bar once, and offered to buy him a drink. Talked a while and felt he might be wearing out his welcome to a nice guy, so said he should go. Lee said wait you bought me a drink so let me buy you one. My FIL was a top notch mans man and very likable and witty. Not surprised they liked each others company having a couple of drinks. Jerry Skinner is the best!
I had a bit of panic when I saw this video posted. I thought 'did Lee Majors die?'...thankfully not, just every other doc has usually been on a deceased person.
HEY my friend, How are you doing? :) We're holding down the fort here in El Paso TX. still. :) Say? Did you ever notice how much Lee Majors favored Elvis Presley when he was young. Their faces are very similar I think. :) OK Another great job Jerry. Take care, Herb :)
Happy Birthday to my birthday buddy Lee Majors. Lee, I hope you had a wonderful, beautiful day today. Still love watching you in the many, many roles you have portrayed. Of Course my favorites are Heath Barkley and Steve Austin. Keep Well, Stay Safe, and Love You Always! God Bless You Lee.
My late stepfather's cousin was Kathy Robinson, Lee Majors' first wife. I have never met Mr. Majors, but my stepfather used to tell me about going to parties at his house when he was married to his cousin. Great documentary!
I believe it was actually Kate Jackson who was initially the higher paid actress and cast as the lead in Charlie's Angels, for she had completed another Aaron Spelling series, The Rookies, and assisted Spelling in creating the show.
There is a NY Times piece "From BTS to Squid Game" about how South Korea became a huge force in media. It said the creators of South Korean TV shows grew up watching "Six Million Dollar Man" and "Miami Vice" and other hit shows and learned how a TV show is put together.
The 6 million dollar man⭐️ 1976 I was 13 and what a magical world it was!Lee pulled some fine looking ladies too👀Karen Velez was superfine like Farrah , Playmate🌟👀 I have all those classic mid 80’s PLAYBOY magazines ✊🦋 and “ Faith Cross” classic name too, what a STUD at 63 and she was 28❤️
Jerry sir, you have taken it to another level! I like the presentation, well done. And as always your narration is the crowning jewel. Keep'em comin Jerry!
