So gratefull I could enjoy and celebrate grandmaster "scratch" his 80th birthday at Roma Antwerp Belgium.. One to be never forgotten . Rip my dub hero!😪
Sacred Lee Scratch Perry always on the front page! It seems that I was in that concert today! It was fabulous stage with men 🚹 and women 🚺 musicians with good vibration 📳 📳 🔉 📳 📢 🎵 🔊 🎧 🎤 🎼 📣 ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ From Jamaica 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 🇯🇲 Land of good vibes 📳 💜 ❤️ ✌️ 💕 💚 🇯🇲 🇯🇲
The undisputed King of Reggae Dub had a massive influence on me as a young man. Yes, it was late at night in the late 70's and I had been smokin' some very potent green. Sydney radio station JJ 1540 AM were well known for playing experimental and avant garde music. That's where I first heard Lee ' Scratch ' Perry. In June 1980, JJ became JJJ 105.7 FM and the music sounded even better. Superlatives cannot describe or do justice to the man and his contribution to music, art and culture. RIP mate
So happy that he ventured into gaming and performed amazingly on GTAV, without doubt the best music in the game. Brought the sounds of my youth to another generation hell bent on destroying everything we’ve come from and the unity we have built for decades!
Been saving 'Scratch' for the dark days - seems they've landed. So much potential fuel in every song - turned tables also make for good firewood. COVID stare-it-in-the-eyes-comfort found here
I love the blonde horn player and the back up singer in the black dress, she is solid. 2:44 "sobbbbbbby Doooooooby do be" haha Love ya Scartach. I hope/wonder how many there knew actually what they were witnessing. Awesome post.
