shoutouts hbox for leaving the mic after the set was over. too often people would stay at the mic throughout the weekend and itd be awkward to have the post set interviews
This set is #relatable content for the Falco mains. The sickest thing about Mango's bird is just that he intuitively knows how to not get janked tf out lmao
Now days everyone wants to talk. Like they got something to say but nothing comes out. Then they move their lips it's a buncha gibberish. But they forgot about PPMD
@@Ale_LSH I think he means that in melee people are going to be at least a little more familiar with any character in the game since there aren't as many plus the game has been out a lot longer. Where as in ultimate there is a lot more diversity in mains even among top competitors
@@PremixedDoge But there's still way more variety in Melee because of how differently each player plays each character and all the different tech and depth for each character. In Ultimate the gameplay is much more flowcharty, so the concept wouldn't work nearly as well.
Premixed Doge That's a possible misconception. Melee manages to have more game plans and playstyle diversity with less characters due to the flexibility of its mechanics. As another user said -- characters handle almost completely different at tournament level in Melee. (Minus a few optimized approaches.) Ultimate's characters share more static setups(For example, how many characters want to follow up a Throw with an Up-Air?) and by both removing a large portion of techs (both individual and universal) and simplifying most of the characters' neutral game they're imposing massive restrictions on their uniqueness. For the majority of the roster in Ultimate you mainly need to understand the Niche options that some of the opponent's characters possess. Very few characters in Ultimate require more than Intermediate Execution/Basic Technicality. An intermediate+ understanding (or exploitation) of the character is valued more in Ultimate than creativity and technical ability. *Tl;dr There are multiple viable playstyles for each character in Melee that all require near complete mastery and equal levels of insane execution. Where as in Ultimate each character is simplified in comparison and rarely requires more than intermediate execution and good timing.* (The both require intricate understanding of the matchup to succeed over a Top 20 opponent.) Ultimate does have a few radically different characters such as Bayonetta, Cloud, Diddy, Shulk etc, but their mechanics are simplified to the point that most competitors can perform everything that the characters (outside of Shulk apparently) offer within a day of practice.
My favourite thing about Mango is that he doesn't use chaingrabs or anything like that. This is such a good matchup when the fox isn't making FD boring
@@EricGoingCrazy I figured like everything else he said he would never do (shield drops, ledge dashes, etc) that he would eventually start using chain grabs more often. He's done it a couple times but very rarely. If he plans to start using Fox more like he said it's something he really needs to add to his game already.
Well if this was accurately switching mains, mango would be bitching about hungrybox, and leffen would just pretend like he’s better than everyone. Oh wait....
Dude it's kind of sad watching Hbox just leave the mic and watching from the corner after Leffen walks down. Melee has been around for like 5ever, can't we just grow up and get along already? I'm wouldn't call myself an Hbox fan really, but..like just let guy hang man! Shit
@@evanq9743 I mean.. bad example though lol the guy Hbox has beef with isn't any of the Americans there, it's the Swedish guy. Also I'm American and saying everyone should just get along lol
Sometimes whoever sits on that middle chair leaves after the set for the people who just played to talk. Maybe it's cuz of that and there actually isn't any drama?
I love mango, everybody loves mango. But when you watch a set like this it gets so obvious that maybe we should chill just a little bit with the mango love. The way Vish is so focused on his reactions: “mango is laughing after every stock”, the way they talk about his history and have theories about his mindset, the way they all laugh when they heard him say “sick Falco dude”. He is just a man! He might be the sickest player but dang... that level of social worship is a bit blatant.
