i mean, you can either position yourself in a dark corner or wander around. you can not attack, jump or climb until disturbed and when disturbed you can only attack the person who disturbed you. if you do not attack the person that disturbed you in a span of... say 10 seconds, then you will be unable to attack and vulnerable to every survivor. you need to run away to prevent from being killed and after you are out of sight of the survivors then you will go back into the crying state. that's how valve should've made it. it'd be pretty simple. edit: also it would be something like the tank, it'd say: You are becoming the witch.

They would have to either nerf the Witch so where a player-controlled Witch can’t one-shot a Survivor, or heavily-limit a player Witch’s movement. Perhaps have a ‘stamina’ bar for the player Witch’s movement. It drains when the player Witch moves, and standing still refills it, and sitting down refills it slightly faster. Because a Witch that can one-shot, move freely, and be player-controlled is unbalanced.

I agree. It ruins the tactical aspect for the infected to try and get the survivors to frighten her, and it's not fair to the survivors because she can simply walk up to them and nearly guarantee an insta. No fun all around.

i think a better concept is like u play as witch and knock one guy down and u immediately lose controll of the witch

They can prolly also one shot you if they shoot you in the stomach all at once with shotguns

i mean, they couldve just made it so you could only target the specific person who startled you

@@particely Like you said, they could make her work just like the other infected, you get locked onto the first survivor you hit. I think they removed the witch because it wouldnt play out as nicely with a player controlling her. It would be a cheap, surefire way to get a knock, if you were to just play her like the boomer and hide around corners or just drop down from a rooftop, in front of the survivors. Also, a player controlled witch would be able to go for any survivor, after being triggered, and it doesn't make a lot of sense to punish a player that didn't trigger the witch. The way the witch works right now is probably the only way it can play out naturally.

Well, it's not really cool, that's why players don't always control the witch. You just go to the survivors, get angry. You can't control the witch if she's angry or retreating... I'm waiting for DJ_WEST to update it to *fully* control the witch.
