one time, louis was killed (or one of the other l4d1 characters idk :/) and then like a minute later, he was in the closet. I even fricken took him to his dead body, of course he did not care
It was literally heartbreaking to find out Bill had died before The Passing.. I literally burst into tears when I saw his body.. But I understood why he died... He saved the lives of Francis, Louis and Zoey, from four tanks about to kill them all... His selfless act won't be forgotten.. Rest in Piece, old man..
Night Hawk107 BILL'S GHOST SMILES AT THE THREE AS THEY SAY THERE GOODBYES AND SAIL TO THE ISLAND(S) IN THE FLORIDA KEYS. BILL SAYS AS HE FOLLOWS THEM BY FLOATING/FLYING. R.I.P BILL TAKE CARE OF YOUR FELLOW SURVIVORS (ESPECIALLY ZOEY WE KNOW HOW SHE WAS A "DAUGHTER" TO YOU.)

A veteran... A soldier... An old man but strong... A proud old man to face those tanks in the last chapter... R.I.P Jim French William 'Bill' Borned: Sept. 4,1820.Died:December 21 2017.Rest In Peace Bill.
In loving memory of one of the greatest (if not THE greatest) zombie killers to ever come out. He went out on his feet, not on his knees, in order to save the ones he cared about the most.
I listen to this song almost every day, so much so that it's become a lot more than just a cover. I know this song as if it were the original, it's that good. Very nice.
This brought a tear to my eyes -sniff- Rest In Peace Bill, you were the most hardcore zombiehunter ever. May you continue to slay zombies in heaven, we miss you.
The only survivor with a real hope of getting to safety and freedom to live out his days is the one who gives it all up for his friends. Peace out Bill, i will miss playing as you with your wise cracks and comebacks to francis, god you did make us laugh
This was beautiful. You took what was originally a basic (though awesome) rock song, and turned it into a heartfelt, dignified tribute to one of the greatest characters to ever feature in a zombie game. Bravo.
I love the melancholy feel to this! It sounds so weird and maybe a little sad, but I genuinely hate the fact that Bill died. I really wish he hadn't! His heart was in the right place. Beautiful cover.
@EducationBrainpop Unfortunately I couldn't get the game until after The Passing came out, but I heard from a lot of friends that Bill was their favorite one to play. I think so far it's him and Zoey for me. This is a gorgeous cover. Very well arranged, Richard. C:
At the end of The Sacrifice, the survivors needed to raise a bridge. To do this, they had to switch on three generators. These, with the bridge, made enough noise to attract pretty much every infected, with four tanks among them. Halfway up, though, one of the generators shut down. Bill jumped off the bridge to simultaneously draw the horde away from the others and restart the generator. He managed to get it going again, but the tanks managed to kill him before he could get back to the others.
@Umbreon0 Yeah, I think so, too. I can't wait to play The Sacrifice and hear some of his new lines. I also heard a story somewhere that he got so much money for doing Left 4 Dead that he decided to "retire" and not come back...but I guess he did come back...for the right price. lol
"I can't see peace back on Earth if I gonna murder every one of these bastards with my God damn bare-hands" Peace might not be back on Earth ever again, but it's with you, Bill, R.I.P. :(
crap... I don't care if the others think I'm crying over a fictional dead character, HE'S AWESOME AND SO IS THIS VIDEO. Those 3 Tanks better wish they never see the 294 of us, and counting!
William "Bill" Overbeck. Vietnam War Vet. Died being the first person baddass enough to kill three tanks and a giant-ass horde while sitting next to a generator and heavily hurt. Shall be remembered as world most badass grandpa.
Bill's death was too epic to be in the game. In his REAL death, there are a mountain of 300 dead tanks, 90 dead witches, 500 dead smokers, 200 dead spitters and boomers, 100 dead jockeys, 400 dead hunters, 250 dead charges, and over 9000 dead common infected, with Bill ontop of them all.
@Umbreon0 Oh, so he must have not come back for Crash Course or The Passing? Because he didn't have any new lines in crash course and they killed him off in The Passing.
@AnglSummer4 No, he's still alive; he's even recording new voice clips for the DLC this time! One of the new clips has already been released- and I quote: Bill: "Shutup, ya Goddamn Birds!"
