Unfortunately, “Cringe Apocalypse” has a different meaning here in Ohio. Sorry to rain on the parade of this typically wholesome comments section with a rather long ramble, but I need people to know what’s happening before all hell breaks lose. SB 83, a bill that aims to eliminate Diversity Training, revoke the right to strike for university employees, and destroy free speech in Higher ED-along with provisions affecting K-12-(all apart of the battle to fight “wokeness”), was recently placed into the Senate Budget which passed as of yesterday. The Budget also plans to slash funding for social programs and give enormous tax cuts to the wealthy. The House and Senate have until the 30th to pass a final version to the governor, a lot of the measures are speculated to remain in tact if the budget enters committee. This will not only have a MAJOR impact for marginalized communities in Education, but will also make life hell for lower income Ohioans. I wouldn’t be surprised if this would pour gasoline on the flames for passing more Anti-Trans legislation currently on the board. While I’m glad people are protesting SB 83 and orgs are hosting letter writing campaigns, these senators know full well what they are doing and won’t stop until they get their way; they have funding from actual hate groups for this nightmare. The future is looking grim. I have an emergency plan in place as a Last Resort, but I’m working with my friends to do whatever we can with starting up a Mutual Aid group for our city, in the meantime. If anyone cares, I can update y’all with what happens with this onslaught of cringe, I guess.

@@astraeterna my guess is probably because TERFs have managed to recruit way too many lesbians with lies about trans people and the history of the term lesbian (like how it included bisexual women and nonbinary people for DECADES, but now some people are trying to say anyone who calls themselves a bi lesbian are responsible for cishet men try to "cure" lesbians, when they would that anyway and most don't even know bi lesbians exist.) In reality lesbian is a great term and lesbians are generally wonderful! But like cis gay men, cis lesbians are more likely than most queer people to be transphobic, push model minority behavior because they have some rights and are afraid of losing them because of others pushing to also get rights, and say it should be LGB (and you know the B is only conditional to those who want to exclude all the other identities, and will be targeted next after trans/queer people, because a lot of lesbians and gays still think that bi/pan people are either gay or straight and will eventually "pick a side") And obviously it's still a minority of cis gay men and cis lesbians who are like that! And those who are, are mostly people who are privileged in other ways like being white and not growing up in poverty, who are attached to that privileged and so scared that people will take it away from them. That's my best guess, that people have started to reject the label because of a loud minority of lesbians who are harming the rest of the queer community out of fear, misunderstanding, entitlement, and wanting to appeal to their oppressors to avoid being under the boot. Like women who are against reproductive rights because they're trying to avoid looking like a threat to men and have been fed poisonous lies.

Mutal aid related: One thing I love about where I live is the unspoken community rule of if you have stuff you don't want, you just put it on the wall outside your house to signify that anyone can have it. Idk if it's mutal aid but most stuff will be gone in like 2 days and if nobody wants it, it gets put in the bin. It means less stuff gets wasted and dumped in a landfill while giving back to the community, especially those who can't afford new appliances, clothes or toys for their kids. I just got a haul of 3 decorative skulls, a mini cast iron cauldron, 3 spice jars, 4 crystals and an inkpot. There's more stuff for others to take and my goblin brain is very pleased with my scavenged trinkets. There's also an old phone box that's been converted into a communal library/book exchange. I took some books from there a while ago and I just stocked it up with some books that I didn't want anymore to make sure I'm not taking more than I give.

Omggg i literally only use two main spoons lmao one is a small really rounded circle spoon normally for most things other than soup (caldo). And for the soup (caldo) or other bigger bowl soup-like meals (not cereal tho I use the small spoon for that) I use this thin soup spoon since all the other soup spoons are WAY TO THICK LIKE DAYUM (lmfao) and for forks I only used this rounded ish fork that’s pretty nice lol. I used to have more favored silverware and other cups/mugs/bowls/plates but they’ve been going missing or have been broken over the years (probably due to my clumsiness and accidentally throwing out silverware instead of the actual trash😅😅) My god kitchen ware is so much fun, especially picking out the fun stuff, also omg so sorry for this huge ass comment lol I just never talk about the breathtakingly astonishing satisfaction I have with finding the right sized perfect spoon XDD
I always draw my self-insert with those because he’s a dragon disguised as a human and I think it’s neat. rambling to fight the, feel free to ramble in the replies :) I'm making a Pokemon au with some online friends, and we're making an au of the au where everyone is a baby (like 10-13 yeah old), so here's some facts about my baby trainersona :) - they're a feral child who runs through the woods and collects Pokemon bones and other dead things - they're relatively tall for an 10 year old, but end up being relatively short as a teen/young adult - they get small nose bleeds super frequently, so their nose is almost always clogged • some people think that's why they can't smell, but no, they have genetic anosmia - they are so stinky, and most of their Pokemon team also stinks, but they don't care bc they can't smell it - their parents are ok with their collection, on the condition that they keep a spritzee around to cover the smell of any skeletons in the process of being cleaned - they have a snorunt on their team, they found it hanging out with some traffic cones, bc it was very confused and thought they might be other snorunts - they don't get the hype about a lot of foods, bc not being able to smell makes everything taste suuuper boring - they try to reassemble any complete/partially complete skeletons they find, but they don't always remember what goes where, so they often end up wonky

I thought today was my last day of classes, and I have a pile of projects I need to turn in to make sure I pass, and I just found out the last day was yesterday. All my hours of hard work, blood, sweat, and literal tears might have been for nothing. I have emailed my professor, but I have no idea if I’m gonna pass this year and need to re-do everything. Y’all can’t imagine the stress we are under. I’ve been bawling for the last half an hour. The reason we put everything to the last second is a mix of surgeries, doctor appointments, sickness, and switching hosts. I’m so fucking ashamed. I hope the rest of y’all have been doing well. These videos help us stay grounded and I just hope y’all are doing better then us.
Idk where you live, but here if you are out for medical reasons, especially surgeries and sickness you usually can redo stuff, as long as you were excused from classes and stuff, though I know it works for high school or below, I'm not sure about college since I'm just now going into high school😭😭. 1:52 THISS I talk about this all the time, I live in a big city and you have to take public transport or cars everywhere because everything is so spread out, but when I visited Edinburgh, Scotland to check out the University, you could walk EVERYWHERE, it was amazing. there where streets that cars we not allowed on to preserve the historical aspects of it and the public transport had a discount for Uni students, almost every store had discounts for Uni students. I bought a tote bag of The University of Edinburgh (Its my dream school) and a book shop owner thought I was a student so he gave me a discount. So we're being evicted and i may have to move in with my nan because mum can't afford a place big enough for both of us on her sallary (most places won't take you unless you make 3x your rent). (I do give her some money to go towards rent but I'm never on the rental agreement because the plan is for me to move out on my own asap.) Still I'll be starting work at a nursery soon (though it's only a bank position meaning ill cover for things like maternity and holiday leave). Hopefully it will lead to me being able to do an apprenticeship and then I can do SEN training.

I finally got a friend that's not ignorant and conservative thinking. Their non-binary and very sweet and nice, but the girls at my school don't seem to like them. I don't like those girls tho since they gossip negatively about people and are basically annoying tbh. My friend doesn't go to my school anymore tho, but it's fine since they left when I only started at this school. It felt nice asking them about their preferred pronouns because when I asked them they seemed SO happy and that made me happy too^^ They then asked me about my pronouns and I just said that I use any pronouns besides he/him. Hey, comrades! I'm a little late to the comments today 😅. I've been hanging out with my best friend a lot recently. Today, we talked a bit about our genders and sexualities. I'm aroace and non-binary and have known that for a while. My best friend has started questioning their gender and sexuality again. Up until now, they've identified as a cis-gendered, pansexual woman. Now they are wondering if maybe they are also aroace and non-binary. (So I'm gonna use they/them for them in this comment as we're both unsure what pronouns to use.) They started questioning this as they realised they didn't care all that much when their gf broke up with them. And I think I've made them question their gender because of how I view mine. We also talked a bit about the fact that I really don't like my deadname and how happy I get when I see people use my name, Malachite. Seeing how happy I was when I was making a necklace with my chosen name on it really validated my non-binary identity. And I told them this and they asked if they should use that name for me! I was so happy when they asked! We were also talking about what we should do together over the summer. We want to make sure we fill up the summer with fun activities instead of doing nothing all summer. Their mom said she'd be very happy to take us out for the day, anytime. We decided we'd go to a zip line park one day, might go camping together sometime and we might go bowling. We also said we'd go to Dublin and look at all the comic shops for manga. Do any of you guys have any other ideas for what we could do over the summer? (we're both autistic, like art, manga, and anime. We both dislike loud noises and big crowds. They also don't like bugs.) It was really hard for me to bring it up, because the first time I brought up being trans/non-binary my best friend and another friend of ours were both a little transphobic and didn't understand what I was telling them. Thankfully, it wasn't coming from a place of malice, but from being misinformed and uneducated about trans people and their experiences. I tried to explain gender dysphoria (wasn't the best explanation as I don't think I have gender dysphoria) to my other friend, and he claimed that being trans was a mental illness because of it. I was pretty upset and had no idea what to say. Anyway, that could be a fun day out. Thanks for your suggestion. We'd probably have to go look online for any art museums/exhibitions or just any kind of art event happening around us. Thanks for your suggestion! ❤️

remember that drinking lots of water as we‘re moving into the summer is very important. especially if you, like me, live in a climate that has seasons and makes you be less used to heat. if you’re, like me, super fucking white and will look like a cartoon lobster if you accidentally stay in the sunlight for more than 2 consecutive minutes, this is your reminder to put on sunscreen and a hat when going outside. if you have any life hacks on how to not misplace your sunglasses every time you enter or leave the house they would be greatly appreciated. anyway, i got a job interview invitation today! it’s not for my dream job but getting this job would mean getting out of my current job, which isn’t bad but it’s working in my parent’s business and i can only work in my parent‘s business for so long without having to check myself into a mental hospital. i feel pretty confident about it dispite my last couple of job interviews (which were a while back) weren’t that great but my mental health has been improving since i‘ve been making an effort to apply to new jobs, which is something i really struggled with. on a completely unrelated note, i just recently returned to this community, i was gone for a while because i couldn’t handle politics on top of my other anxiety stuff but i‘m back now, maybe not as much as i used to be but back nonetheless and while i was gone someone recognized me in not one but two unrelated swiftie comment sections and i thought that was really funny.

Also for the sunglasses, I just keep mine (along with my inhaler, EpiPen, sound cancelling earbuds for sensory overload, gum, a snack, my wallet, a small thing of sunscreen, and other important things) in a small bag that I make sure to keep with me. I used to use a fanny pack but now I use a sling bag that my partner's dad gave me for xmas which has the flag of the Phillipines on it (their parents are from there, though they were born and raised in the USA, but they're still Filipine obv, just PhilAm) so I can show my pride for them ❤ I also keep a small notebook, container with various meds (electrolyte tablets, antihistamines, pain meds, nausea meds, etc), small fidget toys, a flashlight, pocket knife, lighter (I don't smoke, but it's useful), tissues, baby wipes (water wipes are super safe for sensitive skin and are compostable, though come in plastic packaging), eye drops, and other things I might need! It has helped so much with my forgetfulness and my ocd/anxiety/trauma based need to always be prepared for anything. If I need to carry more stuff than will fit, I can just put that bag inside of a bigger backpack!

My wife was born def in her right ear, or it happened when she was young. But she has never acted like a spoiled child like that girl in the video. Ive know my wife now for 20 years and she’s always just reminded me or others that she cant hear them on that side. Also, makes during covid were really bad for her. She reads lips

DO NEUROTYPICAL PEOPLE NOT HAVE ASSIGNED CUTLERY/DISHES FOR SPECIFIC FOODS?!?! WHO WOULD LIVE IN SUCH CHAOS??? There's a spoon for cereal and a spoon for soup and a spoon for tea and they're all different. Like for example I cant drink coffee out of any mug thats not the pastel ceramic from ikea which is normal but metal spoons make a bad noise when I stir my coffee with it so when I make coffee I need to use a plastic spoon or else my breakfast is ruined
