LEGACIES | SEASON ONE RECAP 

Thank you! I was about to start season 2 when it occurred to me that I couldn’t remember what the hell happened in season 1. 😂

Great recap, season 2 came out on Netflix today.

I haven't seen this show completely but I've felt like this show strays too far from TVD and TO. In TVD and TO , they only have vampires, werewolves, doppelgangers, witches, hybrids, sirens and hunters. The vampires and the immortals (like Silas), who have lived for centuries, never mentioned anything about magical/fantasy creatures (from Legacies). Because of that, I never thought that there would be fairies, genies, unicorns, etc. in the TVD universe. I'm a guy and I personally love fairies and magical beings. I like Wade's character. BUT, I feel cheated with Legacies. If Julie Plec wanted to feature magical beings, they could've created another show in the fantasy genre, instead of putting them in the same universe as TVD and TO.

Legacies is like an extension of vampire diaries 👌 It must not be cool watching this or "the originals" and then discover vampire diaries!

I wish you made longer and shorter versions of a recap. I would love a 20 minute long recap and then this one as a short one. I really wanted some fine details to be included but obviously making the recap short cuts them out.

As with MOST spin-off shows, Legacies is no different in its attempt to tie up loose ends from its predecessors. In just the first season, we see what's going on in the lives of Matt Donovan, Jeremy Gilbert, and, (although we don't see her), Caroline Forbes. The loose ends of "Bio-Mom", (Lizzy's word, not mine), Josette "Almost" Saltzman, and the fact the girls finally DID meet their real mother. Also, Dorian still being around after his appearance in TVD shows the characters staying power. In the end, target audiences is where you get what you get with these shows The Originals, with it's mostly adult themed and violence, was made for a more mature audience, where as TVD and Legacies were geared for a younger audience. So, unless you're a moody, teen-age fantasy genre lover, you probably aren't gonna get it. As for the review, not bad. A bit basic, but not bad.

I can’t watch the show because I live in Australia and we don’t have it on Netflix so I had to watch this :(
