Ya know what’s sad? The Ambulanceroid/rescueroid loop doesn’t even work anymore. Konami ruled that Ambulanceroid’s effect can’t be activated during the damage phase. This pitiful deck had a shitty loop that was next to impossible to pull off and Konami couldn’t even let them have that.
@@CErra310 What do you mean, "screwing with a tournament"? It's not good at all, there are plenty of other way easier to do way more reliable instant win loops than that; it fucking requires your opponent to have a monster that can attack all of your opponent's monsters, which makes it absurdly inconsistent because the only consistent way for that to happen is for you to give them one. Even if it was good, all that would do is result in lots of people using it and it subsequently getting a card or two put on the forbidden/limited lists.
GoodGuy Guan The worst part about that how many loops or insanely long combos are currently in Yugioh. But Konami’s gotta axe the one from the terrible 20 year old deck
Nah, Syrus was a little bitch in that show. I couldn't stand his voice, and he always lived in the shadow of Zane. I had little reason to care about him.
You would consider summoning it normally? Nobody does that. Slap of on top of your nova instead. Also that requires 2 uforoid on field which will never happen.
***** I disagree. The effect was so stupidly modern and PSCTed that it sounded stupidly out of place in the GX era. That, and I didn't remember it even having an effect.
+Chaos Shooting Odd-Eyes Ultimate Beyond the Pendulum Quasar Synchro Dragon Victory basically what this guy said. it was way too modern, if you know anything about GX cards or roids then it was pretty obvious. I was laughing when he even showed a picture with an effect 😂
i have a pure vechicroid deck sitting on my shelf, next to my cyber dark and GX cyber dragon deck. i like to have themes decks at the ready for goofing around duels.
Pair Cycroid is a hilarious card. You can make it by fusion 2: - Cyber End Dragon - Malific Cyber End Dragon - Cyber Dragon Nova - Cyber Dragon Infinity -ABC Dragon Buster - XYZ Dragon Cannon - AtoZ - Ancient Gear Chaos Giant - Railcannon - Gustaf - Towers - Jinzo
@@citrusjuicebox It reminds me of Edison in the Blackwing Mirror. Sirocco you can make even Vayu (A weak garnet used to summon beaters from grave and an ocasional level 5 synchro) an OTK Winged Beast because it uses your blackwing's attack against you.
The biggest insult in my book is that stealth union' design was inspired by gaogaigar- one of the most epic super robots in the genre's history..........
throw 3 chain material with 3 vehicroid connection zone with stealth union and some other random stuff like supercharger. anyways vehicroid connection pretty much stops all the negative effects that come from chain material and makes stealth union a monster that is hard to take down and if yours cant beat it you can equip it the next turn
@Uni BlackSister Why would you feel sorry for Syrus? He got an episode that basically just un-did all the turmoil between him and his brother and made him a good duelist. Zane definitely got the short end of the stick though.
Just be thankful that barbaroid didn’t have its manga summoning condition, requiring a fusion of einroid, zwiroid, driroid, feirroid, and funfroid, the German numbers 1 through 5 or also known as the roid equivalent of those cyber dragon “retrains” that barely anyone remembers
It's like parasite paracide, except you shuffle it into the opponent's anus instead. Someone did that to me once, and I lose more than just a duel once every day.
I can't believe you actually managed to get me with the Steam Gyroid bit. I knew it was vanilla but somehow I was still convinced that "maybe I'm just remembering it wrong". Kudos. It needs to be remade like that though.
Oh, and no protection so easily negated, and burns you of 1600 LP if you summon the thing and don’t kill. Oh yeah, it also goes the extra mile in nuking your board of all Machines, so have fun on turn 3 when your opponent slams 5400 damage into your poor Truck-loving face.
İsmail Kerem Kabil first gather all vehicleroid cards place in small pile. Second pour chosen type of fuel on cards. Third light cards on fire. Four profit?
+Shibo He i built a roid deck using chain material, fuse with their spell, then get proteced by vehicroid fusion during the end phase. imagine equiping monster your opponent controls and your oponent cant solemn strike the effect because of the vehicroid fusion card.
i find it funny that submarineroid was one of my favorite cards as a kid cause it could do direct attack chip damage and switch itself into defense after but i didnt even know there was a whole archtype and that they are all shit
I blame the Vehicroids having no real cohesion or strategy on the fact that Syrus used a different strategy damn near every time he dueled somebody in GX.
You could basically say that about every single anime character pre-5DS, and even that's generous. Archetypes were mostly for flavor back then and lacked cohesion, most characters who used a specific archetype had such wide card pools you could rarely predict how they would duel.
Imagine if one day they make a Gate Guardian archtype. Like rework Gate Guardian and his pieces, make a second boss guardian with new pieces, it'd be the funniest thing to imagine.
gate guardian is searchable with arsenal summoner. uforoid is searchable with shining angel. used to ran those for some fun otks given gate guardian is a warrior type
I made a shitty video about something like that. at first it was pretty consistent options to get out Gate Guardian by giving it effects to retrains of Paradox Brothers monsters with a bunch of flavor.
I mean, they should do this though. Gate Guardian was said to rival _Exodia_ according to Yugi in the anime, so the lore is already there. The Paradox brothers were fan favorites, and they even brought them back in GX to tag duel Jaden and Syrus. They deserve some modern retrains, because it’s sad how pitiful they were, even back then.
the year is 2022. master duel has nearly every card in the game, including dozens of japan exclusive vanilla monsters from 1999 are available to use. shuttleroid is not in the game
UFOroid is a part of the longest crash train I know of (and possibly the longest ever) It goes: Nova Summoner(LIGHT Fairy)(Summons LIGHT Fairy)(x3)-->Shining Angel(LIGHT Fairy)(Summons LIGHT)(x3)-->UFOroid(LIGHT Machine)(Summons Machine)(x3)-->UFO Turtle(FIRE Machine)(Summons Fire)(x3)-->Masked Dragon(FIRE Dragon)(Summons Dragon)(x3)-->Troop Dragon(Dragon)(Summons Itself)(x3) It's Easily interrupted, prone to drawing the wrong cards,Does almost nothing except thin the deck, and is inconsistent as all hell but at least it's hilarious
16:50 And, oh sh*t! I just realized that Stealth Union is GaoGaiGar, King of Braves... But... if they were making him like that, jesus, such potential, such waste...
With the exception of TruckRoid (which could've been a reference to the six Ryu Braves) it even has the same vehicles StealthGao = Stealthroid LinerGao = Expressroid DrillGao = Drillroid
Can someone explain again why it's a trap though? Cause why would you want draw power during you're opponent's turn? During the battlephase on top of that!
I love it when people think you can still play fun and casual decks on locals. Most of the decks played at my local shop are worth more than I earn per month for a 40 hour week
feelsbadman This is why I stopped playing physical cards and went to simulators. Tho I stopped playing alltogether since it's too hard to get into the game after taking long breaks.
Stealth Union, like most of the things on this list, was actually REALLY good for a few years after in more casual games, mainly because of Vehicroid Connection Zone + Chain Material, letting you summon a virtually indestructible by battle monster that can't be hit by mirror force or etc. and sucks up what it can't kill. Compulse was pretty much the only reasonable answer at the time.
the sad thing is, the ambulanceroid and expressroid can be be good in certain builds that spam them (mostly synchro builds), but even then, that's the only way to abuse the, outside of their own archetype.
I think it's obvious, but we LOVE this. And for me there is a very obvious way to improve this videos, focus more time on "how to fix it". Really the comcept and theme for this archtypes are there, and now we know how to make...say...a fusion archtype work, so why not right?
The part with Dark Jeroid really puts into perspectove how the new cards from GX anime were miles worse than the random monsters Yugi and co. used to play years before.
Ok, but hear me out on this... As a primarily aggro “vomit my hand of the field and turn dudes sideways” type duelist, Gyroid PISSED ME OFF back when I was a kid playing the DS Games
You know, I didn't remember having such a bad time when I was playing around with roids, but then i remembered Future Fusion wasn't banned at that point meaning no dump 5 roids, summon express from the grave with machine support. It wasn't the worst thing, but future fusion definitely was a huge boon to this deck.
Heh, i played Streamriod in a Pure (heresy) Train deck during Zoo Format as another target for Switchyard i also ended up only losing to a zoo deck at the locals
@@smithsteve5629 actually, it uses the fire element roids and the water element roids plus the field spell to turbo, and earth element roids from time to time
My brother used Truckroid pretty effectively. His modus operandi was summoning it when I had a 3000 Atk monster, use Micro Ray to reduce it to 0, and attack it with him. At the end of the turn, the atk of my monster (now equipped to him) goes back to the normal and now he has a 4000 Atk monster to beat me to death with.
13:10 The 10000 IQ players Know the value of Cycroid. Because you can play it in monarchs. No. Really. I am not kidding. Edea summons a monster with exactly 800 ATK and 1000 DEF. Cycroid is a viable fodder for additional Edea. Not to mention the bonus mental damage you inflict upon your opponent by using it. Not to mention the bonus damage you inflict by having the sentence "Cycroid is a garnet in monarchs" be accurate.
6:19 Ghostricks my dude. Use your effects to flip everything into face down defence and use ghostrick museum to direct attack while flipping back down where shit like ghostrick scare and go around can shut down anything your opponent throws at you, all the while slowly stacking angel of mischief to an instant win if you don’t just beat them to death.
Drillroid was actually a pretty good card tbh. Since because it destroyed monsters by effect and not battle Drillroid could destroy any defense position card even cards that can't normally be destroyed by battle. Including Marshmallon.
I wonder. Is it possibly to fuse (for example) Dark Jeroid with 4 "roid" monsters to summon Barbaroid if you also have DNA Surgery active and changed all monster types on the field to Machine?
It is, but that is sadly a bit much to ask from this archetype. You basically need 7 cards, most of them not searchable in any way, with one of them needing a turn on the field to be useful to you, and that would leave it open for you opponent to just wipe it out before you could even use it. Honestly, it is much easier to just try for 5 regular roids.
Do you think the new Support could help this Archtype immensely? Mobile Base looks like it could bridge the gap between Speedroids and these roids, and the Field Spell is definitely helpful for the Roids with more defense than attack and gives it greater search ability.
17:56 I remember that I watched that GX episode (In an actual good sub, not english) Back then I thought power bond allowed you to create a custom fusion, because UFOroid fighter didn't felt like a real card, that's why it had that underwhelming effect of just adding attack points. As a kid I also though "Why Zane is summoning Cyber end dragon? Twin seems as strong and more reliable", "Ojamas are so obnoxious to play against", "Jaden should focus more on Thunder Giant over anything related to Avian or Burstinatrix. Bubbleman can stay though, Drawing 2 on empty board is great", "Cyber dragon feels kinda overpowered. It's a 2100 free special summon in a game where monsters rarely surpass 2000" and, important to this video, "Vehicroids are just a walking joke". 18 years later I still think the same for all of them.
The sad thing about Steam Gyroid is if it combined the card effects like one of the other fusions did (maybe minus Steamroid's negative), it could have had 2700ATK when attacking while tanking death once per turn. Not great but it would have been better than... whatever that was.
not only there is a new fusion based on card space unless cyberdarks have that much spell/trap/ extra deck support there will most likely be new main deck Vehicroids, whats next, support for arcana force? ( if it happens maybe we will finally get those 3 monsters we never got and then some)
Actually i made veichroids work, I don't know how, because i wasn't even trying to do it, but i made it. If you use megaroid city in the proper way this deck turns into a pretty decent thing
just for your information R10 and other peeps, Roids also appeared in the manga, but only shutterroid and carrierroid made it into the game. there are still a lot of members and S/T support for them in the manga, including a miracle fusion, which barbaroid was summoned with. so if they decide to make another collectors pack with manga cards like the recent one with the planets, then they could print them and possibly salvage what they can from this deck, and I'll hoping I'll live to see that day 😂 Peace, a Sho fan.
