3:30 Don't tighten them down halfway with a speed drill....3:50 I am putting them in very loosely to get them started...Contradiction in the fullest example. What does it matter if the frame is not squared? You have three pieces of 1 inch slate that is being shimmed. The frame is nothing but a table it doesn't have to be perfect guys it only has to be strong enough to hold the slate up. The squaring is done on the slate
The reason the cabinet must be square is too allow the slate to sit as flat as possible thus eliminating the number of wedges needed to level it. When the cabinet is not square, it is twisted and the opposing corners are raised higher than the rest of the surface. This makes leveling the slate a nightmare.
I had to re level my mother in laws table this weekend. Soooooo many shims! It was very difficult. The cabinet was not square. It was very difficult to achieve a true level. I couldn’t do it in the end. I wasn’t about to disassemble the entire table either.
he didnt contradict himself. he said dont tighten them down with a drill unless its done all in one motion. in your zeal to be emotional and nitpicky you were unable to listen and pay attention. if youre a male you need testosterone therapy and if youre a woman you need to hush your trap
