Kate Rockwell (aka Margot) quick-changed from a dress into pants and a top and jacket between her bow and bailey's bow!!!! can we appreciate the skill and speed. Actors on broadway are superhumans.
You've had your fun, our work here is done, we're setting you free, so go home and be, yeah go home and be, yeah go home and be, yeah go home and be legally blonde... :)
i always love watching this because 1)idk why but i ALWAYS get chlls when theres a lot of clapping and screaming at a curtain call i love it! and this is an awesome video to get that feeling! haha im so weird... and 2) it was an AMAZING end to a musical
a lot of different things went into lb closing--you can't just blame it on bailey or the economy. it was a combination of lowering ticket sales, a tough economy, high running costs--a large cast, a very expensive theater to rent.
Aww... I loved this show! It was my first Broadway love. It should've won the Tony...if/when the revival comes, all the amazing fans better eat up the show and maybe they'll regret ever taking it off Broadway!
DID SOMEONE NOTICE... FREAKING HOT CHRISTIAN BORLE SEND KISSES TO EVERYONE AND THEY STARTED HUGGING WHILE bailey IS SEND KISSES EAN EVERYTHING I LOVE CHRISTIAN BORLE I WISH HE COULD'VE SAID MORE... I LOVE HIM SO CUTE!
I’m here because my advanced musical theater class just did Legally Blonde (I was a UCLA Student, a Harvard Student and Kyle) and we closed on Sat. February 26. It was sad but very fun. Also at 1:50 Kate Shindle, who played Vivienne) hit a B5!
Nice! I just did it with my drama class last night (I was Gaelen, Store Manager, Winthrop, Lowell, Enid, Whitney, Dewey, Prison Guard and Kyle over the course of the three performances) - it felt like such a special show, and this will always remind me of it! im here to relieve my post show blues as well 😢
haha orfeh had so much energy! ove her! she is so nice! i was talking on the phone with her. LOL we talked about random things! haha. i will miss legally blonde sooo much!
@xkayteeex33 no, if they were worried about baileys voice they would have recasted Elle again. Yea it was ruining LBB's voice, but even still she brings down the curtain and rocked the house, every time. I miss her and the show so much!
i heard that laura bell stopped because the songs were so hard to sing and they were ruining her voice. they didn't want to ruin bailey's voice so they let her do the show for only a little while. idk if thats true but its what i heard lol it really sucks that this closed :/
There used to be a recording of the last Ireland and Ireland reprise, but I can't find it anymore. Does anybody know where it is on youtube (or have the audio)? Because Orfeh is so awesome!
I thought that they would have said or done something special after the show since it was closing night! But, they just did the typical curtain call, I wonder why.
Is Kate's mix at the end a recording from when she did it earlier in the show. If you look at the sound and the picture together they don't seem to match.
No. If you mean Margot, Serena and Pilar, they left before closing night and these are replacements. Kate Wetherhead, who played Kate, stayed till the end. I do not know about rest of them.
it's sad lbb had to leave because it was harming her voice it is also sad that the producer directors etc werent REALLY looking for another elle because if they were i think bailey would have never been cast she was second rate and flat durning so much better everytime and they even freakin chaged the key for her. the girl needed more experience plain and simple they wasted a good show on an enxperinced twit
laura bell bundy smokes too so that couldn't be easy. when she came on tour here my friend's mom walked into the center to buy tickets and lbb walked in smoking.
no one did look at the date of the vid it was a few days after the show ended, someone else even recorded the curtain call but they didnt do any speech
yeaa i know. i said i didnt know if it was true. i only heard that cuz my brothers friend goes to BOCO and is obsessed with everything broadway and thats what she heard lol
This is BRoadway. There are no speeches. You go into a theatre and that's it. The only difference is if a main cast member is leaving they get a bouquet of flowers as a goodbye just as this Elle did.
Kikiricki Kira there’s speeches for shows who want to have one I for sure know that for spongebob Tina Landau the producer wrote a 20 min speech the same with other shows
