Best fan experience in pro sports. Vegas has absolutely nailed it. I just found out that their VP of Entertainment formerly was a director at WWE, which explains the quality of their pregame shows. This program was put together in one week.
The best thing about Buffer he only had to drive 12 minutes from him to make those introductions and all for the value price of 1 million dollars. Nice work if you can get it. 👍👍😁
Now they need Bruce Buffer to do one...iiiiiiiiiiii tssssssss TIMEEEEEEEEEEEEE 4 rounds of the NHL stanley cup finalsssss game 2!!!! From the black corner standing in there first season ever holding a profesional record of 1 season and 1 finals!! vegaaaaas goldeeeeeen knightssssss
With my long love of hockey, my family connection to the Las Vegas Valley, and having played the ESPN Jock Jams CD until my DiscMan broke, this is one of my all-time favorite sports moments.
Mark my words! The NHL will have the Stanley Cup finals soon looking like the Super Bowl. Thanks to Vegas this will start a trend and bring in big entertainment and big names to the finals of the Stanley Cup. Vegas hypes the sport and now it's starting to draw looks that will bring in big revenue, especially comercial time just like the Super Bowl. Take note MLB and NBA. The NHL is going to be neck and neck with the superbowl in the future if they play their cards right when it comes to the finals. Vegas is opening up a whole new world to hockey. The Change is welcome.
People get so upset over Vegas having fun with their pregame. God forbid it turns into Vegas' thing. You know, like the octopus for Detroit, or the Catfish for Nashville, etc.
I was hoping for Vegas to bring Michael Buffer onto the ice, thanks for making this happen, and thanks for the upload! Nothing quite says Las Vegas like boxing, and Michael Buffer personifies the most legendery and epic of introductions. The only thing I miss is mentioning of nicknames for those of the players who have, and a boxer's intro of the two teams respective fighters, Reaves and Wilson, just for laughs - but I know the latter will never happen. 💥
lias andersson What's the fact? That they're being judged and the league ridiculed based on the fact that some of the players come from impoverish environments? Because that's what I'm responding to. Judgments aren't facts and if you believe that, then you must have serious issues when it comes to interacting with people. You claim that I'm dumb yet I clearly am far more well read than you. "Poor people generally grow up in the ghettos so that makes you ghetto yourself" And how would you know if I'm ghetto or not? You said it so it must be true. And if I was, what does it even mean? Are you trying to say that poor people from a ghetto can't watch or play hockey? None of this makes sense unless you're classist.
When Michael Buffer present the teams, he describe them like he presents the challengers in boxing. M. Buffer: Wearing white, red and blue sweater, regular season record: 49-26-7, they are the NHL Eastern Conference Champions, the Washington Capitals with their head coach, Barry Trotz!
Call me crazy but I could see a 3-4 year finals battle between these 2 teams like Cavs vs warriors . The fact that vegas’ gm built the caps and fleury and ovies history the compelling story and talent levels of both teams should scare all of hockey for years to come. If you think ovies going back to 2nd round exits you haven’t watched enough sports to see what happens when the greats get a little taste of success but Marc Andre is gonna keep vegas there too. Watch out nfl the NBA and NHL are making you look like WCW post 97 right now...
They might as well let Vince McMahon run the show...the league is slowly turning into a WWE promotion. They just need pregame interviews with the players yelling at the opposition and we're there.
Play Maker lol...."well, they're a great team, and we know they're gonna' come at us harder next game. But, we feel that if we can come out and play our game, and play hard against them...we'll come out on top!" 😆 EVERY...SINGLE...INTERVIEW.
The “3 time all star” Marc Andre-Fleury. Wouldn’t you want to say “3 time Stanley Cup champion” instead. Or being an all star in the NHL is more important than a Stanley Cup winner?
yeah, i noticed that too. And what's with not knowing how to pronounce Niskanen properly. with this being such a big event, you'd think he'd do some studying beforehand. he only had to mention like 12 or so names. not like there was 60 names. U can tell buffer is CLUELESS when it comes to hockey, but at least do some research man.. this is primeime stanley cup hockey with millions watching. not hard man..
How about this instead? He's a 3x all star... and also a 3x Stanley Cup champion... #29..... Marc Andre Fleuryyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.. doesn't that sound even better? it only would've took him 1 more second to say that.
Go back to the fake exposition of wrestling. Hockey is a class sport. That rumble BS can stay in your arena. Another reason for me to dislike the knights.
