If they ever make a Captain America animated series, they better get the people who made Earth's Mightiest Heroes to do it. Would they? Probably not, cause they're focused on those really bad shows on now. But a man can dream.
3:18 Soooooooooo unless you're a plane or a bomb or some ice or a brainwashed buddy or a Spider-Man, then you don't necessarily have to yieeeeeeeeeeld!
You want something crazy to learn about, try doing an episode on the unmade live action Captain America tv series that would have been made in Japan! Yes, Japan! It was going to be a follow up to the live action Spider-Man series.
Please do a video on the third Schumacher Batman movie, I hate Schumacher but he had some great ideas for the movie like bringing back Jack Nicholson as the Joker (Jack even agreed to it)
HYDRA was formed in the comics after WWII in Asia by escaped German War criminal and Red Skull ally, Baron Von Strucker. This weapon supplier thing was made up for the first CA Movie so as to skirt the Nazi issue.
Dunno if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times then you can stream pretty much all the new movies on InstaFlixxer. Have been streaming with my gf recently =)
Here are a few topics you can do: -Space Usagi: The Animated Series. -The Various Unmade Batman Films In Between 'Batman & Robin' and 'Batman Begins.' -Daredevil: The Animated Series. -Mega Man X: The Animated Series. -The two unmade TMNT cartoons before the 2003 series. -The "Gatchaman" movie by Imagi Studios. -Gotham High. -A 'Power Rangers'-esque follow up to 'Batman Beyond.' All I really know about that one is that Bruce Timm thought it was a stupid idea while Kevin Smith thought it was absurdly awesome.
It would've started David Hayter the voice of Solid Snake himself and anyone whose seen a single episode of X-Men or Spider-Man The Animated Series that had Captain America in it knows that it couldn't be more perfect casting.
1:21 yeah no Captain America doesn't have super strength. It's been stated multiple times Captain America's abilities are the peak of what a human is capable of achieving. While that makes him slightly stronger than Batman it's hardly anything he hasn't handled. Hell he's kicked Bane's ass repeatedly and he's essentially no different from Captain America, except maybe smarter and actually does have Super Strength. Also Batman has spent well over a decade mastering over 100 martial arts styles, while Captain America's main combat experience is at best, atleast before he became an Avenger to maybe 1 to 2 years since he didn't see the end of World War II. Plus Batman studied an insane number of other skills, Forensic science, Battlefield Tactics, Escape Artistry, Disguise. Also Batman simply has more drive than Captain America, Batman has pushed himself above and beyond what is needed, inspite of having no super human abilities and dedicated his entire life to this pursuit. Captain America does it because of his strong patriotism, which is a strong drive but doesn't match Batman's.
Captain America does not have super strength in the comics, note that Captain America has claimed to be proficient in all martial arts in the comics several times (somehow he learned it all during WWII), and he fights master martial artists (like Iron Fist) to a standstill on occasion. So I don't think we should imagine some huge gap in Batman and Cap's abilities in a straight fight, they are both supposed to be among the best human hand-to-hand combatants on Earth. The other thing is that Batman barely won the fight in question and google suggests there are other crossovers where they stalemate. I think them being about evenly matched makes a lot of sense given that both characters are supposed to be basically the peak of human ability in terms of combat. I don't see why it has to be that one or the other is just sure to win...
To me David Hayter is and always will be... the Guyver. Also, almost everything I'm hearing about this Cap. America show sounds super awesome!!! Now I'm really sad we didn't get it... :'( ... Oh, well!!! Who's for Chinese!?!
I'd love it if you maybe talked about some things like the once planned Doctor Who movie, The Dark Dimension, or maybe George Lucas' original idea for a sequel to Star Wars, Splinter of the Mind's Eye.
Speaking of Cap, one thing has puzzled me for some time. Did the events of Captain America Civil War cause the fandom to hate Cap, by chance? I can already tell your love for Cap still remains, ERod. But what about the other fans in Marvel? If they DID hate him, after that movie. I would say it's pretty unfair and shallow
Just an interesting fan suggestion; also, no offense to Solid Snake's actor, but if they had made an animated series for Captain America, my pick for Steve Rogers would've been Kevin Sorbo, given his popularity built from Hercules: The Legendary Journeys in the 90s.
There was another superhero that almost got his own animated series in the 90s but Batman beat him to the punch and also nearly got an ORSON WELLS made film. I am talking about the real dark knight, the man who bob Kane based Batman off of, the one who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men, THE SHADOW.
Uh so what happened to the regular blockbuster buster 2.0 Amazing Spider Man episode? Seriously did Erod delay that to a full month now? That's... pretty unforgivable honestly for supposedly only having the episode every 2 week promise. Seriously if it's to tie in with the new spider man movie these should of been timed out a lot better then we've gotten as honestly it makes the whole new format of these BB episodes a lot weaker then they should be.
my bad, I meant makes me wonder why there were no crossovers between GI Joe and Captain America. Though there was a Transformers/New Avengers crossover. Now if IDW can make a crossover of Transformers and the TMNT....or have a single issue where the GI Joe ninias duel with the TMNT,
The X-Men Evolution show wasn't apart of the Marvel animated universe of the 90's. The Captain America animated show was going to fit in with the X-Men Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man and the Fantastic Four animated shows. X-Men Evolution version of Captain America was not related to the Captain America show that E-Rod was talking about :)
To be fair, he is at the bottom of the superhuman scale and batman is peak human so they are pretty close and he had the best martial arts teachers in the world
How about a video about "Superman Lives"?? ;) ;) Just kidding.... John Shnepps already covered that one. ;) How about the X-men series from the 80s?? They made a pilot called "Pryde of the X-Men". It even was featured in Marvel Age.... and the made a Graphic Novel type of comic using freeze frames from the actual pilot. It was an AWESOME pilot..... which somehow did not make it as a series. :(
Actually, it kinda varies on the writer whether Captain America truly has "superhuman Physical attributes" or not. It's pretty nebulous in many cases. Like how Marvel Wiki's and Databooks list him as being "peak human" among other things. Though Cap did get respect in the JLA/Avengers crossover later on (the one with Krona).
I like these you should do the Daredevil cartoon next. I remember Marvel wanted to do one of those but the networks put all these restrictions and new junk like giving Daredevil a side kick dog called dare dog.
Kabe Silvermaine I heard that it was a Marvel business decision to cancel the project as they were trying to do some financial housekeeping at the time. It wasn't canceled due to the project's merit
Sam Raini's Spider-Man 4 because Remember the Spider-Man Villain Casting couch where you casted Bruce Campbell as Mysterio? He would've been casted if Spider Man 4 hadn't been scraped.
Really liked this one, ERod. I saw you mentioned there the silver surfer - one of my favorited cartoons. Why did they cut the series all together?! The episode does not tie or end, and is even called "The End of Eternity, Part 1" and there's no part two :(
I really hope Marvel and Disney just takes a break for a moment and look at there animated shows and think really hard if they really want to force in the references to the movies in them or not. I was really happy when Disney bought Marvel becuse to me that ment the 90´s era could be back in full force. Who whould´t love great animated 2D or 3D with our great heroe´s. They could do for younger and older kids. Sadly it seems like if the channel is called Disney it has to appeal to 7 years old and not older. They even stopped showing the 90´s show they had. For a couple of years ago Disney channel did show re-runs of Spiderman, X-Men and even Fantastic Four. But I guess they thought those were to dark and mature for kids. Just get another animated channel for more teen oriented stuff. I want Fox Kids and Jetix back!
Hey now. That Nick Fury film is where I first learned of SHIELD and fell in love with Fury and his organization. I still wish Hasselhof would make a guest appearance on Agents of SHIELD as the real Nick Fury from WWII so I can get the image of that pretender playing Marcus Johnson (ie Nick Fury Jr) out of my mind. Love Samuel L Jackson and his portrayal of Junior, but he's not Nick Fury.
At least you mentioned the freaking ending & not give an exact number of likes this time! It's disappointing to not see this show happen but why didn't they just try to create/air it in the 2K? Also, despite this episode being better then the last in my opinion, your fanbase seems to disagree with me for out of all the current episodes released at this point in time "3". This is considered to be your worst yet by your fans simply because it has the least amount of likes! Episode 1 (The worst in my opinion despite it being fact cause I proved it to suck) had 774 likes, Episode 3 has 808 likes while Episode 2 here has 613 likes! YIKES!!!
He got his ass kicked because it was fan voted . In jla/ avengers which was canon for DC because of an cosmic egg that showed up from time to time Anyway in that comic Batman himself states that Captain America could beat him but it talks a long time.
GI Joe with superheroes? COBRA *was* HYDRA. The Joe's leader was supposed to be Nick Fury Jr., and they were a SHIELD combat unit (per the origins of GI JOE:Real American Hero).
1:29 that same guy with no powers ended up defeating, a huge Russian with a hammer, twenty thugs, a titan enhanced goon, and the Joker all at the same time.
The Nazi avoidance also has to do with German law. The swastika is against the law, which is why gargoyles couldn't put it onscreen when they did a ww2 episode either.
Actually Batman cheated, he used a remote controlled batarang & knocked him out during the contest. It was a phone in contest, the most phone calls won.
Here's an unmade show just up your ally. Their was supposed to be a Thor animated series a few years ago, yet nothing came about it. Most likely reason is all those despised marvel animated universe shows that started with Ultimate Spider-Man.
The bankruptcy also lead them to sell the movie rights to a lot of their top sellers to FOX, Sony, and other companies. 20 years later, they still have not fully recovered from that hit. (If you feel the way I do about their print media, they are in worse shape. Fortunately the movies are made for actual audiences that will buy tickets, and not people who want something to complain about.)
I suspect the network didn't want any Nazi symbolism purely to prevent obstacles to airing the series in Germany. Nazi symbols, gestures, memorabilia and even references to the name are banned in Germany (I know there have been discretionary allowances, such as in documentaries and historical pictures but those media are aimed mostly at adults, not children).
I would like to know your thought on avengers united they stand and spider man unlimited, they get allot of hate and I don't get why I really like the shows and would like to know your thought about them.
ERod Blockbuster Buster great video erod. love your work gotta throw my nerd card though... u know batman can beat cap any day of the week rite? or do you not watch death battle?
