To be honest, now I watch your vids primarily for the memes that you edit in on occasion. They're just frequent enough to keep my interest, regardless of the model
Forgeworld should release legion specific thunderhawk upgrade kits. The Emperor surely has one, Leman is known to have one, and in the books both Magnus and Ahriman definitely have their own customised ships. Not just aesthetically but also functionally.
That's a splendid model and you've done a great job putting it together ! For some reason though, it makes me think of Star Trek. It looks a bit like something the Romulans would come out with.
Good job and another great review. Its a lovely looking model but its one that I doubt I will get, maybe one day if my custodes army grows. I do love the fact that it can physically fit models. Looking forwards to seeing the rules for it
Ethan Kahrl It certainly is a ‘practical unit of measurement’ and it is also a practical unit of cost. Such as I could get two thunderhawks for the price of that titan 😂
Love the model and the way you've done it. Shame about the inside though, it'd be nice to see the inside painted up with the Aquila and stuff but there's a limit to what you can do with resin I guess.
You may have answered this already in a previous video but does the Orion have a visible cockpit? Or is it just a block of resin? It's a great looking model but I want to keep my custodes force quite small
Did you look around the exhibit hall in Warhammer World? I plan on going for the first time at the end of the year. :D (6 hours there and back on the train in one day for £80 just to see Warhammer World for a few hours. Should be worth it.)
You totally got me with that cat Hello, I was so expecting the regular Hello and then that. But stay away from the coffee grab. That's OrcPainterNerd identity theft!
dark kelo It depends. The Thunderhawk is my second favourite model. If you have a large force of Custodes then it is a good model and unit but it is no way near the excellent Thunderhawk.
In master of mankind a damaged custodian contemptor fit into the the troop bay of an antigrav land raider so if this can't fit a dreadnought it's smaller than a land raider
As someone who is pretty much brnd new to WH40K (I had a brief stint as a kid about 10-15 years ago, but family was too poor to really support this hobby), what do any of those things mean? Just an anti-grav land raider sounds insanely cool, and what are custodes? I know a bit about the lore but the names go over me at the moment. And he mentions painting these models gold instead of black, is there an reason why?
MilkySubstance the custodians are basically the emperors body guards who in 40k are running around with guilliman and a land raider is basically a tank for space marines that isn't super huge but is kind of mid range as far as space marine tanks go and as for size go through sup3rs other videos to find the whole army videos that can give you the scale for a land raider
To be honest its cool FW add all this detail inside the model......buttt its kinda useless in honesty and that extra detail adds to the price. Like legit i'm never going to see inside the thing and let alone TRYING to paint it.
Dylan Hilton So you have one then? And you’ve decided no to paint it. Well even if I don’t paint every little detail in there I do think it is cool that FW add all of this detail. GW have been doing this for many years and FW are notorious for their highly detailed minis so it is something I expect. If you have proof that all that extra detail adds to the price then please bring it to the table along with your sources. Otherwise it is difficult to believe you. What I will say is that the sister model to this, the Ares gunship costs exactly the same price, without the extra resin parts for the transport capability AND without the detail that comes with that so....your price to amount of resin you’re getting (detail on not) argument seems unsupported by what is currently available.
