This video is divided into two parts. First, how I sculpt flames for my Legio Damnatorum legionnaires using greenstuff and, second, how I paint the flames.
This is an updated version of the tutorial compared to the one released in 2020.
Special thanks to Mike Freel over a Corvusmusic.net for the music at the end of the video.

Hey Algerothen, this is a little off topic but how do you get the luminous blue that you used for the plasma weapon on your Legio Damnatorum knight? What paints did you use?

@@Algerothen it helps a lot, I wanted to paint some Damned Legionaries and that's best fire tutorial i have seen. Im also a big fan of your work and lore behind your Legio Damnatorum is very interesting.

What is the green stuff?

Finally someone managing to do something cool with greenstuff rather than just smoothing over a botched conversion or just plain shitting on it for being bad or not sticking well etc. Maybe I will give it a go myself after watching this.

Thank you :) I agree with your comment regarding videos being a bit lacking in its potential. It’s a great material for building your own little parts for models and for reposing them. So I would highly recommend testing it out :) thank you so much for the comment

@@Algerothen No prob, this vid got a sticky and a sub from me, I think you will do well in the over-saturated YTmini scene if you continue to make unique and independently motivated guides like this instead of yet another review of speedpaints or a "slapchop v3.5567" tutorial.

What bit did you use for the skull?
@Algerothen

The skull is from Games workshop’s own kit with skulls. Very handy kit for both models and basing. Can highly recommend it :)

@Algerothen weird. I did a similar conversion amd the skull looks too small, like guardsmen scale ish
@Algerothen
@Algerothen Год назад
@@tmarcb1296 Yeah, those skulls are a bit small, but when you add the fire around them they "bulk" up a bit and fit better :)
