Legionaries vs. Intercession Squad - Kill Team Battle Report 

You're all so good at talking through the game and rules like humans. It'd be pretty rad if you guys put out your own "how to play a game of kill team" video. I think your style is unique enough that it'd be so different from everyone else just reading from the rulebook.

This is the best kill team content out there, the combination of cinematic shots, overhead map views and commentary on why you're making your decisions is perfect! Also really cool to see you using two bespoke teams. Keep up the great work!

Awesome batrep. You summed up intercessors perfectly at the end there "INTERCESSOR CHARGE, INTERCESSOR FIGHT, INTERCESSOR WIN!". I'm a space marine fan but I've gone back to my legionary team because intercessors are a bit dull to play, and I got tired of watching my opponents die a little inside every time I played them.

Love it. Still wish we'd at least see an intercessor gunner though. They get all of two specialists and you're leaving one at home to basically play compendium assault Intercessors with an extra wound and chapter tactics.

Night Lords fan here. Many people think that all or almost all Night Lords (in 40k era) hates Chaos and Chaos gods. This is probably because most of the main characters in the Night Lords trilogy novels despise Chaos corruption and those who become pawns of the chaos gods, BUT! those characters are just a single squad in one Night Lords Warband. Currently, the legion is really fractured. Each warband just do their own thing. Some may don’t give a shit about the gods and just want to survive. Some may still commit to the Long War and will do anything to contribute (worshiping chaos gods for power, for example). TLDR: Not all night lords hate Chaos and not all night lords are undivided. Every Night Lords warband has their own view on the matter. You can do anything you want with yours.

Spoiler alert for the Night Lords omnibus Night lords don’t hate the gods as a rule. In the omnibus, not only is the leader of the warband a daemon prince, but two of the guys from the main squad (Xarl and Cyrion) are corrupted by Khorne and Slaanesh respectively. It just happens that the main character and a few others hate the gods, and are therefore relatively uncorrupted.

I’d have run all melee specials and all mark of Nurgel, reduce the normal damage by 1 and retain a normal save as crit = OP

For Night Lords, any of the choices are acceptable. They're technically undivided but individuals often fall to one god or the other and can sometimes become pariahs to the members of their company. In the Night Lords Omnibus (amazing books btw please read them, the Audible VA is really great, too), Uzas is falling to Khorne and often completely loses himself and does horribly violent stuff he otherwise wouldn't-- which is saying a lot for the Night Lords. And Cyrion is called out to be falling to Tzeentch because of his psychic gift but [redacted, no spoilers]. And to top it off, I have no idea who or what the 10th Company Raptors, The Bleeding Eyes are falling to, but they're essentially just animals at this point, no better than unaligned warp spawn, all except for Lucoryphus who is the only one to keep his intelligence despite looking horrific and walking around on all fours most of the time. To be fair though, the Night Lords as a whole HATE chaos and the gods, that's why the ones that fall are so hated. Their goals in the galaxy are less about spreading chaos and more about self-gratification. The ones who still have a mind to crush the Imperium (like Talos) are doing it either out of a sense of spite or for revenge for their fallen Primarch Konrad Curze, and fewer still are doing it to continue Konrad's ideological mission.

Since when is it possible to equip killteams indivdually? I didnt play killteam 2 because I was so furious about that you need to buy the extra book for all the units and that you weren't able to equip whatever you like and customize everything how you want. I really like Killteam1 and I see no reason to play Killteam2
