You did not propped up 42097. The whole crane part moves up a bit and then allows for more rotation. There is a small handle

Nice vid! Great comparison! Function/capability wise, neither are desirable to me as is, parts could be of use elsewhere or could be made better with some changes. Is it odd that I prefer the hook of 42097? Most cranes (that I have seen in real life) are ran single line, by default, the snatch block hook it stowed on deck or somewhere out the way until needed

I think it should be relatively easy to change/replace the rear outriggers of he 42108 to improve the lifting capacity. Not so sure about changing the 42097.

ON 42097 YOU FORGOT A STEP THAT WOULD ALLOW 180 TURNING

I actually prefer to watch the spider crane unfold compared to the other mobile crane. It’s more satisfying due to the speed and actually creates a competition for me and my brother (who can extend the outriggers the fastest). Also, one of my cousins said that it looked like a tank in its compact form, so I added four spring loaded missiles which fire off one by one with a single push downwards. I love this set and my personal improvements to it…

I actually have the 42097 if you set it up correct it can pick up 600g

42108 wins, also with looks. But still far behind the "old" 8053 crane.

42097 - 180° rotation and one towing rope 42108 - two towing rope - Double the weight of the load

To be fair 42108's outriggers suck. But one can always add some weights to the "counterweight". It is hollow inside so it's an easy fix.

If 42108 had longer supports it could lift more without tipping

42097 is a better set.

I have lifted the penigale set 42107, 42095 and 42079 with the compact crawler crane so stop lying or i don't know how you do stuff. It was a good video anyways😁💪
