Part one of four comparing the build of the Lego and the Lepin versions of the UCS Millennium Falcon. Placards are only up for a few seconds, so please pause if you want to read them. I hope you find some benefit and thank you for watching.

Dude, you did an insane job comparing the two sets. Really appreciate your work. This is exactly what I was looking for throughout the internet, a direct one to one comparison of the two sets. Great job!!!

This is fantastic. Appreciate all the work you have done with this. My partner got me the Lepin set and I’ve been slowly building it. Not sure if they have been watching your videos but there are changes such as the 3P0 is now identical and brighter, the long grey pieces have a mould to allow better clicking in and a few other changes.

I am glad it was of some use to you. Interesting. I am glad the improved it, but I doubt it was because of this vid. Thanks for letting us know of improvements. Take care and sorry for delayed response. I am not the best at keeping up with these. 8)

Great job. I look at your videos all the time I finish a phase to see your left parts, really good. I am also thinking for the taking a part after I finished to assemble it. Thank you I like your work, you are the best.
@studsmcsnap7672
@studsmcsnap7672 5 лет назад
Thank you. Prepare a big space as when it is disassemble it takes up a lot of room. Normally I disassemble back to front of book and bag appropriately. The Lepin Falcon was broken down and stored by part type. Be well.

@@studsmcsnap7672 I saw that at the end of instruction book there are pages with all the used bricks for millennium falcon lego set. I came up with the idea of disassemble it and then bag accordingly. But there is no reference for the bricks in a single bag and it might be complicated to sort it out, what do you think about? Take care.
@studsmcsnap7672

@@goose-brothersinhell9253 I am a little confused by what you are referring to "the bricks in a single bag" Maybe this will help. If my intent after disassembly is to rebuild at a later date (also for selling maybe) I reverse build and bag by either book (in the case of multibook sets), by step (like in the case of UCS MF), or page range (usually when a ziplock bag gets full). This makes rebuilding much easier. If my intent is to use the pieces for something else like a MOC, I sort by piece type. The List at the end of book is helpful in that it lets you know if you have them all. I rarely use the parts list at back of book unless to clarify a part issue where I can not tell color in instructions as happens from time to time. Does that help?

Could you build a Lepin set following the Lego instructions?
@studsmcsnap7672
@studsmcsnap7672 2 года назад
Hi and Soz for delay. Didn't think anyone would watch these. Yes. Instructions were identical, Lepin just condensed more steps per page

Also very nice video man. Thx! I'm thinking about buying the lepin one. But i'm really bothered about the missing parts here and there xD. I'm not sure i can handle that. Also i do not have a bank of lego parts to replace them.

Thank you, 3 years overdue. Sorry for the very late response. The downside of getting it at such a cheap price. I was comfortable because I knew I had parts. There were not many missing and worse case, there is always brick link.

Although it was disappointing the Lego set did not have the bags in order all of the same number bags were in the same box at least.

So Lego or Lepin on this guy. I'd love the Lego one but $1000.00 is hard to swallo. Great comparison video.

I do not hide the fact that I am biased toward Lego and that they should be rewarded for their efforts, I also feel the Lego MF will hold its value and appreciate if you are an investor type. That said, $640.00 price difference (with tax incl) is steep and not everyone can afford it. If the set were retired and Lego no longer sold it, I can see buying the Lepin. It is definitely no frills. But I feel if you take the incentive away for a company or person to create, then why would they? This is how I look at it... Lego is like flying first class, Lepin like coach. Both will get you where you want to go, but the experience getting there could be quite different. UCS MF is a unique case. For almost all other Lego knockoffs Lepin does, the price savings does not incentivize me to buy the Lepin one. It seems marginal and if a part or three are missing you are on your own, with Lego you are a phone call away for replacements and other services. Going forward, I think if I were to buy from Lepin in the future, it will be a set they came up with or possibly a Lego set no longer in production. I am in it for the build and joy, not the investment. Hope that helps

To the right of my hand? That would be a brick separator. A tool to help separate Lego parts thus saving chipped teeth and nails. Best Lego piece EVER! Though the do tend to accumulate if you leave two alone together for any amount of time it seems. (I have at least 15 now). Really sorry for the delayed response.

Hi. Sorry about that. Best I had at the time and I know the quality is not the best. Videos were more for information purposes, and I wasn't looking for an Oscar. 8) Aside from maybe posting the seats I designed for cockpit (why there are no seats makes no sense to me), I doubt I'll do more videos (well maybe I'll do one for UCS Outrider when done). Maybe scrubbing to placard time stamps and read over differences might be a quicker way for you and may give some Idea. Take care.

I seriously cannot understand how Lepin was allowed for so long. Its a straight up copy and paste from the LEGO one, they dont even try to hide it! The instructions are the same, the box art is the same and even the end result is the same! Im glad it got shut down, but still, how tf did it last that long?
