This is INSANE! As someone who frequently builds with lego, this is easily one of the coolest creations I have ever seen! Congrats on getting it done :)
Yea, the only thing which could make it more awesome was if the programming could be done mechanically instead of with the mindstorms (think jacquard loom style programming)
Incredible work Joakim. It’s been a pleasure watching you grow over the past 7 years. I know this is the end of an era, but I hope to see more from you in the future.
The immense cleverness that went into designing this machine is insane! It has so many awesome mechanisms and I also love the video production! For real, you did an amazing job!
Absolutely incredible. When I first saw those videos back in around 2014 I had no clue that it would lead to something so incredible. I admire your persistence and the amount of effort put into this project, and I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Honestly this made my entire month already. Super glad to see this finally complete and come to fruition, especially with how much time you've spent working on it!
This is insane engineering! And is compact + gorgeous looking!! I am so insanely impressed. I really hope you do a longer video showing a bit more of the mechanism
Wow! Finally seeing this masterpiece in the making for years is truly incredible. You have continued to improve all features of your lane and now if is fully functional! Congratulations to an end of an era!! ❤❤
Want this in my house NOW. I also wanna say that i'm inspiring my first lego bowling alley in your videos and hope to have something that you have, also knowing that it's not easy at all. Thank you , thank you and thank you!
Just amazing TCAS, never for a minute with your brains and ability did I doubt you'd make a fully functional machines. Been good times thru those 10 years, and aside from the machine, the friendship and support you showed me was amazing, sure we were always there for you but even in my absence you never forgot nor didn't support me. Thats what true friends are and good, kind hearted people. it's been an amazing voyage so far and I know it's not over, you're a perfectionist as I am and I bet you'll still improve things as time goes on!!!
Thank you so much Rep! I can only agree, the friendship with you has been helping me complete this project, both thanks to your expertise and you as a person. You are completely right, I'll continue to work on this and improve it (One could say that it will never be fully complete lol). Ofc I would add you to the credits, you are one of those who means the most to me in this project :)
@@ThinkCleverAndSmart See? I knew you were a perfectionist! lol. I'm just glad I met you early on, to see how this started and how it is now is just amazing to me (REALLY cool flashbacks in the video too! I remember where it all started!). Your talent and intelligence is just amazing, and not only with this, there's scoremore and many other things. I became close with Aaron and Rob and saw the updates you pushed for them so scoremore would function better. I think this is why our friendship works so well, perfectionists when it comes to projects (or work and the machines when I was able to still do that, I still hold out hope that someday I can get back to that). Truly just amazing seeing things from the start and how much you changed and improved things on any and all of your projects. I'm super happy if I was able to help in any way, that's my happiness in life (well, aside from fixing things lol) but I love helping good ppl, especially friends and you've always been a loyal supportive one. I remember wondering how ppl would take me coming back, and you were the first I spoke to, I just happened to check my comments and saw yours, no anger or hostility just a true friend happy to see I was okay, you can't ask for more than that! It's certainly been a legit honor to have a true friend like you and see your talents make your work truly blossom and stand out!
AwesomeG3000 here, beautiful sight to see. It's something I thought would never happen but sure enough, over the years, you finally did it. Outstanding work!
This has been such a fun project to follow. Seeing it go from basic to now being complete has been so cool to watch. I wish I had a way to buy one. I've been a bowler for 30+ years and I've always wanted a bowling lane in my house. Something like this would be perfect to have to play with my kids and just have as a really cool show piece.
Yo what the… I’ve suddenly revived my interest in LEGOs and I remember watch your stuff as a kid years ago. Can’t believe u never gave up! Congrats dude 👍
I also just wanna say thank you for inspiring me to make my own mini Lego lane. I've been watching you for so long that I remember when I made my first lane and it was because I watched your videos. So seeing what I've always loved to see all the time being finished is just crazy!
Glad to be apart of this era well kind of But this is awsome bro the frustration you probally had yet you never gave up. im excited to see a new era of something and be apart of it for the rest of my life-kitty gaming
Wow, 10 Years have passed and your Pinsetter is still kicking ! I’ve been watching RU-vid since 2011 before I became a RU-vidr in 2017/2018 and you’re one of the Bowling RU-vidrs I’ll definitely support the most because of this project. You’re the best TCAS !
You inspired me to start Lego bowling again I’ve been watching your videos since the beginning of your channel and your further development into this project I think it’s really great And hope that more will come from you in the future and more inspiration will come for others
I feel so old 😂. Great work, it’s amazing to see what ten years of hard work and dedication can do. Especially when it’s hard to do it with LEGO due to their small size.
I was just thinking of your kast video where you mentioned the project was coming to an end. The mini bowling community wouldn't be the same without you contributing as much as you have. You've inspired thousands to think clever and smart, and I can only congratulate you on your monumental achievement! One day I hope to complete my lane and become as successful as you have^-^
Thank you so much! The project has reached a milestone, but it won't end here. Continuous improvements will make it better and better. My next goal is to have it running at an event, where it cannot fail. :)
Hey TCAS! BK here! I know im 10 months late, I just thought I'd say, I am SO happy to be here through this journey with you, it has been ten creative and inspiring years from watching your videos from 2013/14 when I didn't have an account, up untill now. A Legendary chapter and Era to see you finally finish what you started. (the Lego Pinsetter) and I'm so glad and grateful to have you here. You are awesome my friend! And you will forever be one of my founding inspirations for my mini Bowling lane as well! I wish you much love and all the best to your future endeavors!
I’m a bit late to the party but man, you’ve been an inspiration to me and I used to watch so many of your vids about this. It’s super cool to see it finished and I’m excited for what’s in store for the channel! 🎉
One end of an era and one start of an era. One blink of an eye and it's 10 years then you become a legend. Hats off to you. You deserve a high ranked job in Lego. Keep going. o7
@@Tarika916 he was my absolute best bowling teacher when I was a kid and he loved this project. He died in cancer and never got to see the machine finished
TEN years and TWENTY THOUSAND parts, jeeesus chriiiist! Rest well dude, the world HAS to see how far you’ve gone. -But the question is, can you hook the marbles? lol-
This is incredible!! I hope this doesn't mean an end to the Lego Bowling series, because there are still many different ideas and concepts yet to be discovered! I absolutely love your distributor concept, as it's similar to the Bowl-mor candlepin machine, yet an entirely new design! Congrats man! I seriously can't wait to finish mine now, for the distributor is nothing anyone has ever seen! Kinda how KyaRL said it, I owe a ton of credit to you. You are a huge inspiration to my Lego/3-D printed pinsetter project. Your beginning designs helped me to get started with my initial designs and helped me to understand simple mechanical engineering concepts. You might not remember, but I remember years ago you made a comment on one of my older videos when I had stopped posting. I remember reading that comment in which got me back into creating content again. I know this comment is long like an essay, and I apologize. But seriously, keep up the great work! This could potentially be a beginning to a real bowling pinsetter concept! ;)
Thank you so much! It's not the end to the series, just a huge milestone being reached! Yes, it's inspired by the candlepin machines for sure, but with my own twist to it. You are one of the best lego bowling RU-vidrs out there, and I hope to see more from you in the future. I didn't add you to the credits for nothing ;)
I watched this channel since when i was 3, always watching this channel. Just always inspires me to build one. Now i’m 10 and this is just brings back a lot of memories. Do hope you make the pinsetter sweep Brunswick again because i kinda like it.
I could write a thousand words to describe how marvellous this is, but as you may know I tend to keep my words quite simple, or maybe that’s just me haha 😅. I’ll give an exception however, I’ll give credit where credit is due, and I owe quite a lot of my inspiration and likening of what some may call “tinkering” to this Pinsetter of yours, heck I even had a shot at making my own, and I think I’ve done alright. How much further I will progress it? That’s another topic for another day though. Quite frankly, this is brilliant. And I wish you the best in your LEGO and other engineering adventures in future, as the end of one often leads to the beginning of several others far greater than the first! But whether it be in LEGO, or perhaps you choose to venture somewhere else like I have done, I’ll make sure I keep checking here to see what’s going on haha! - Thank you.
Thank you Kya for sticking around! It truly marks the end of an era, but the beginning of a new one. I made sure to add you to the select people in the credits of this video because of your continued support for this channel, but most importantly, for me. You are one of those who has kept me sticking to this project for so long. Without you and the amazing subscribers I have, this wouldn't have been possible. Thanks again! ❤
I was completely speechless... absolutely fantastic!!! let me know when you are going to start selling this set on the market, i will buy it immediatly!
You did it!!! I'm so happy for you!!! :D Watching you grow as an individual and on your channel from the first videos all the way to now, I'm eternally inspired by your creativity. As I see it, it won't be long now before your legendary TCAS pinsetter (or any mechanisms)... *starts multiplying.* 🎳
Dang, it's been such a journey going through these years as we watched your TCAS pinsetter and other side projects progress! It must feel amazing to finally complete the machine after years of trial and error. Although I haven't built one yet, you've inspired me to pursue an automatic bowling alley for many years and your consistent uploading of updates has kept that thought in my head this whole time. When I find the time, I will hopefully take on the project. But what's next? 👀 Remember not to drop the machine! Do you have a backup of instructions for it?
Thank you for sticking around! I’d love to see how you would tackle the problem. I’ll keep the machine safe, although I just now moved to another city (again) so I hope the machine still works 😅
My God! This is so awesome! I'm speechless. So cool. I wish I were rich. I'd ask you to build me one for my nephew that is 3 1/2 years old. He's all into bowling, and at 3 1/2 he watches the videos on how pin setters work over and over all day. My hope is that one day he'll be able to do a quarter of what you have done. I know the owners of a bowling alley, and am going to take him to see the real thing in action. Not to worry, I'm defiantly going too turn him on to your videos as well. I know he'll watch them over and over all day long. Thank You for doing this. I know he'll love your videos. Darwin T.
This is exceptional engineering. I've always enjoyed your videos during my early years. Fantastic job on this. I must say I am very curious, how does the out of range capability work? I'm very intrigued by what you did here. Years back when I tried making my pinsetter, I ran into the jamming issue with out of range pins, causing the whole thing to break.
Fantastic work! I had a feeling you were going to finish it soon. Hope we get to see more of it in the future, you need to put some games through it! Have you ever tried oiling the lane and throwing a hook? I still have a 3D printed 1:12 scale pinsetter in the works, but too many projects to juggle right now. This is certainly inspiring, maybe I'll have to finish mine soon...
MA GUY THAT IS BEAUTIFUL. Altho if the lanes is longer, the lane scale would be accurate. i can give you the 1/10 scale lane length tho(182cm) thats all i got. but this machine is amazing like fr
I don’t know how the pulleys with the chain on the pinsetter work like is that what holds it up and down? Plus what are you like building or completing because I would really love a full game to see
0:58 I thought Master Your Lego made the first fully automatic lego pinsetter? I like your design better though. Your design is way way less complicated and more realistic.
Yeah he said that, but it wasn’t up to spec. He couldn’t pick up the pins for the second throw so it wasn’t a complete pinsetter. His pins were pill-shaped to be able to stand upside down as well which isn’t at all realistic. That’s why I’m able to say that I was first :)
I recall somewhere reading the comments of other videos. That you were eventually going to sell this in kit form. If I had $1,300 or so I would pre-order it and on assembly. Superglue everything that doesn't move so it can't be dismantled or destroyed by someone accidentally. Are you still going to sell it or are there too many pieces that are too close to Brunswick and Ball Bowler patents?
Yes I will, but I’m going to start by selling instructions without pieces. I’m also about to optimise the part count to make it cheaper for anyone who want it. I am a little worried about some Brunswick Patents if they matter here, but Ball Bowler doesn’t have anything that I’ve used.
This is probably really late, but I wanna say great job in the completion of your fully automatic pinsetter! I just noticed that you included the pin distribution system that was kept secret for a while in the "TCAS Lego Pinsetter - Still not complete yet?" video, nice easter egg you put there! Also, I wanted to ask where you got the wooden lane from. Thanks!
Thank you! Yes I could finally reveal the distributor since it’s now fully working. The lane is made of a layer of printed paper, using a texture that I made myself, and then a acrylic top to make it shine. Im planning to make it out of just Lego though
